Good morning all! Well I feel about 90% like myself again. Again I will never drink more than one glass of wine without eating WAY more food! Hope everyone had a great weekend! I had a realization about turning 31. People always say that I don't look my age, so now that I am tenically a year older, that means I look like I am a lot less than 31! I know insane logic.

good morning all. What do you make of the passport issue? Will we need them or not in '06?

Good morning! Eric and I have had our passports since we were in our early 20's because of the Navy so we haven't really ever been without them. I know that the price is high, but I have used mine outside of traveling. I lost my wallet and the way the Oregon ID system is set up it is almost impossible to get one with out some other form of ID. Thankfully I had my passport. We had to renew them last year and I didn't realize it. We had to pay the extra $120 ($60 each) to have it done in time for the cruise. Now I just looked at the prices and if you have a family of 5, ( mom, dad, 3 kids under 16 ) it comes to $440. But that is good for 10 years so that breaks down to $3.66 a month for the 10 year period. Now that doesn't seem so bad, does it?

Well I was gonna put the "I don't know" smiley face but I just looked over and they are almost all gone! Oh wait here's one

Wow! I disappear for the weekend and 4 pages of catch up! It was my DS birthday this weekend and I had a house full so I didn't have time to post. Sorry about the oops on my post. My DS not my DH started kindergarten. he he he But my DH isn't 30 yet so he wouldn't have been the only 30 year old in the class!!!!! I robbed the cradle!!! he he he As for Pre-K, we had to pay $102.00 a week at a private pre-K. Only the low income families qualify for free pre-K. Sorry, Ericamanda, that you didn't get the job. Things happen for a reason and maybe Mason needs his Mommy with him for his first few weeks or months. I am still working on the pictures. I have ti unpack my digital camera. I haven't found it yet! Taeja, I will gladly send you some of our rain. My backyard is like a marsh! I am over it. But, as long as no hurricanes come with the rain, I can handle it.

Is it just me or are the boards acting up today? They a bit off, like they are having a bad day. Anyway I went to my local disney store, the one I briefly worked at. The ASM was there with the Manager and she gave me hug and immediatly ask when I was coming back to work at the store. The manager couldn't run in the back fast enough. It was kinda weird. Anyway I picked up my pre-order for Cinderella and when I got home I looked at the pictures and it turns out that you only get one holigram. I just assumed that they would have the same pictures that you can get from Disney direct. Oh well I guess I will have to order one online for someone's christmas gift. Sorry to ramble but I am board! Hope everyone is having a great day!

Hey I was just on another site that had pictures of what the new room design at the Contemporary will look like. It said that it will be going on through 2006. So my question is how can I fins out when the rooms will be done? Anyone got any ideas how I could find that out? Oh hey I got a picture of Mason today. My DSIL picked him up today and sent us these shots.

Amanda, Mason is so cute! Too bad we can't bring our fuzzy babies with us on our cruises. he he he I think Mason would have a great time. My dogs are like 10 times his size. But they are big babies at heart.

Mason is ADORABLE!!! I so want another Boston fur baby!! He looks like a pretty big boy already, Amanda! Any idea how much he weighs at this point? I was shocked the other day when I put Pokie on my (ebay) scale and she was a whopping 20 lbs 10.5 oz!!! I thought she still weighed about 15-17 lbs. His ears will be standing up in no time, too. I think Pokie's started at about 2 months. Well, I just had to take Pokie out of her crate so she could see pictures of her new boyfriend . I think she is . Well, take care everyone. Amanda, keep those pics coming!!

Dilemma Dilemma Dilemma
Any and all advice requested:
Today, out of the blue, when I least expected it, I was offered a higher rated job in Montgomery Alabama. Great, right??? Well here is the background. I love my job, I love my boss, I love my workgroup. The only reason I was seeking a different job is to get out of the situation I am in now, the lack of job security. I am sure I have told yall this b4 but if not, I am at the bottom of the seniority list (for my job title) statewide. SO, if my job title gets surplussed anywhere in the state, I could be "bumped" out of my job. That is the only downside to my job right now. I just got a new co wroker, and we are getting along great. ( She agreed to let me take the 2 weeks in may that I need). Montgomery is about 95 miles away, about 1hour and 40 mins. It is in the central time zone, and I am in the eastern time zone. I would not be getting home until about 7 to 730 pm every night. I would not get to see my kids much. Then, I dont even know if I will be able to get memorial week for vacation next year, becasue I would be going into a whole new work group. I just dont know what to do. If I take this job, chances are pretty good that I will be able to retire from Bell. If I do not, and stay where I am (which I love) chances are pretty good that I will not be able to retire from Bell, and could or could not be laid off..........ideas advice anything?!?!?!

Your putting your future in our hands?! Wow, what a toughy. I guess if you are looking for possible longevity getting the promo would be the way to go. I like Amanda01's suggestion of possibly moving closer to reduce your commute time. But you'd be farther than WDW too (hey, an hour is an hour). Umm, could you negociate your vacation in May next year as part of the promo? I know you are probably thinking of the kids too. Uprooting them if you moved. If I may ask, how many days do you have to decide? Ugh, again, tough question. I know you and DH will make the best decision for you and your family. Heartfelt wishes on making such a difficult decision.. Hey, is there extra $$$ involved that's a factor too. Your going to have to fill up your vehicle more since you'd be commuting.

You definately have to look at the big picture and do what's best for the long haul. We're not getting any younger are we? Maybe moving a little closer to cut down on the trael time and expenses. You would have the job security and possible more money. Uprooting the kids would be a minor issue, I think. I don't like the idea of uprooting the children but they are resilient and would adjust and if it meant a better life all around for all of you, then why not? The travel costs from where you are would be expensive, I think. Gas is $2.61 per gallon here so that would add up quickly and may add up to more than any extra money you would be offered. I think it would be worth it though for the job security and the extra $$$.
