Hey Laura - good to see you around!! You're going to put me to shame with costumes aren't you? We're planning on doing something super duper easy - probably pirate wench for me and deck hand for Pete unless I can figure out some easy costumes that I can do myself with my limited sewing skills.
I doubt it. You see how well I did on the PC. But I am trying.

I am cancelling our EB tom. and moving the deposit to the WB...it looks like it will work better for our schedules. I am excited, this thread looks great, and I love the website....great job!

We will be flying out of Detroit on the Weds prior and staying at Le Meridien for 3 nights before we cruise. We have never been to Europe, this will be our 4 and by far longest cruise.

Seems like a long way off, but I like the planning stuff too.

Anyone else hear about Disney earnings being down? How do you think this will affect DCL?
Where do you live if you are flying out of Detroit, we are in Shelby Twp.

Wow, lots happening around the here. Welcome to all our new cruisers. I feel like a stranger here. Been a long time since I posted. To much stuff going around at home. Please bear with me while I catch up a bit.

Hi, I remember you from the 2007 WBTA! We sat next to each other during one of the culinary demos....

Marilyn
Sorry, that wasn't me. I have not ever been to a culinary demo or a TA before.
But I look forward to meeting you.

Good morning everyone,

anyone have plans for the weekend??
I am going shopping for things for my cruise later this month.
I need more FE gifts and some new luggage.

Have a wonderful weekend everyone,

Kathy

Hi Kimberly - just out of curiousity - any consensus on why some people cannot handle generic Vicodin? I seem to have a problem with generic medicine except one but it slips my mind now. I have problems with the generic vicodin but when we paid the extra money for the name brand - I was totally fine. Go figure but I got the headache, stomachache and all. Aren't they basically the same? :confused3

They have to be the exact same as far as the active drugs and how they work. However, the inactive ingredients could be slightly different. Like the slight difference between sucrose and fructose. It wouldn't change how the drug treats the pain, but some people for some reason might not be able to process the different sugar (or coloring, or preservatives).

Happy Birthday IBOUNCETOO!!!!

I had never seen it before then either, but it was a booklet on the nightstand showing many different kinds of pillows - down, feather, spelt (!), and lots of others. You could call and request the different ones to try them out. I usually like down, but I think the one I liked best was synthetic.

Okay, I obviously don't stay in nice enough hotels... :confused3

DH wants to go to the Festival of the Masters but, I would rather not. :) So we will see. Other than that just the usual cleaning and shopping. DS has a friend coming over on Sunday.

Hi everyone. I am trying to be back now:rotfl2: I have no idea what has happened on this thread in the past two weeks and it moves so fast there is no way I can find the time to go back and catch up. If I missed anything REALLY important someone please PM me;) I did mention of a kids' site on this page. I will have to go to the website and see if I can find it. Marika (who will be 13 on the cruise) and Rio (he'll be 11) will really enjoy that.
I heard from many of you already who want to be on the lanyard team. What an awesome group this is:goodvibes
Today we are cleaning the house:headache: and bakling cookies for my sister in law who gets to spend the weekend with us while she is working this week and next on the east coast. We are so excited to see her tonight.
We are also going to have a fun excursion this afternoon. There is a website I have ordered high qaulity games from several times in the past. Yesterday when I mentioned to one of our library patrons that his last name was the same as this webiste I found out he runs the site! He lives really near by and invited us over to see all the games in person (he says he has one open box of every single one so I can really see how they work) and said if I want to do some holiday shopping later on to just drop by and purchase them there and then I do not have to pay shipping:yay: Whata fun coincidence, eh?

No super special plans for this weekend in this household. The change in weather today is depressing...that much I can tell you. One thing I really need to do is update my resume. I work in technology for a top banking institution in their investment management group, and the way things are going in the market, I know that they are cutting discretionary spending for next year...again! So since our jobs in technology are funded by project spends, it doesn't look good. No doubt many of you have similar scenarios. Enough about bad news, though!

Of course tomorrow we have a Buckeye game to watch. On Sunday, a girlfriend and I are going to go do girly things. I have no idea what yet, but it will be nice to spend some time together regardless if it's to window shop or go get a pedi. Her hubby is looking forward to an afternoon alone, too, so it's a win for all! I did buy stamps for my Christmas cards today, so that project is on the horizon. *sigh*

Happy Happy, Jackie! Get out there and celebrate in style!

Peggy Jo, I can't resist not commenting on your quote in your siggy. It's awesome and a great reminder! Thanks for sharing that!!

Amy, hang in there, girl! It's been a long week for you, no doubt, but think......only 3 more sleeps until this pain will go away!!

Hadley! I've been wondering where you disappeared to! I'm excited for you that your DSIL is coming. Your small world story is funny! Sounds like he's quite a generous man. Have fun!!

Thanks Kimberly...I didn't think about it as only 3 more sleeps until the pain is gone...well, probably a different kind of pain. LOL!!

Hadley, I'm interested in the website where you get the games! I love games! I can't believe your kids will be that old for the cruise! Rio will be 11! OMG!

Hey Kimberly. I sure hope you do not have need for that updates resume:hug: Part of waht ahs been keeping me busy has been helping Dave look into/for work. We came home from the DoubleDip to the news that Dave's plant is closing:sad1: He is one of the "lucky" ones as he has work up until closing in April. We were pretty distraught (but still booked the TA:rotfl2: we figure we have a long time for things to turn around before we have to pay for it) but just this week things are lookin gup (I will say no more now as I am terrified of jinxing things:rolleyes: ). I was also busy working on election things for my candidates of choice:upsidedow

I'll PM you the website (not sure if I am allowed to post that). It it hard for me to think that Rio will be 11. These kids just keep growing in spite of my protests:laughing:
I DO hope your tooth is better soon. There are few things more painful.

Kathy,

How sad am I -I'm not sure I can do either one of those. :confused3 I burned my last iron when I tried to transfer and was banned from trying iron-ons and when I cook unless its Hamburger Helper or a special casserole that takes hours onend to make, no one eats the food at the house.

Ya know what, we never got our Captain Jack Sparrow iron on transfer tuturial video!!!!

Laura - stay out of the kitchen!!!

PILLOW MENU

Some hotel chains offer a selection of different pillows for their guests, kind of like Goldilocks. Firm, soft, foam, feather, buckwheat husks, water pillow, etc.

To much to respond to on the thread, lives look really busy for everyone, but I do read everyday.

Brooklyn, I watched 11 Hour for the first time last night, interesting show, and now I know why the little girl looked familiar, lol.

Hey Laura, you and Lorri can be Giselle and Scarlett. Get to sewing lady! If this non-sewer can put together a costume, surely you can.

Oh wait, I made my mom do it. :rolleyes1 But I can take credit for the accessories.

Hmmmmm:confused3

Maybe , Just Maybe just before the cruise I may put one together ... We will have to see how T-S**t sales go ... and I think I have a guy who will screen print our shirts as opposed to the other way ..Plus he isnt worried about copyright infringements ...LOL

Aye Aye Madam! :thumbsup2 I do try my hardest but lately I've been experimenting and I did find someone else at cooking than me. At least my baking is standard - the cookies are always gone!

I take credit for my costume too ( I bought it hand-made to order) off ebay! :thumbsup2 :rotfl2:

Monica, As a matter of fact, I am thinking about doing Giselle. I have been researching fabrics to see if I can get something close. Lorri, loves red so Scarlett would be perfect for her.
