We are considering this cruise. I am very confused on how the airfare works. Can someone give me some hints? If round trip is cheaper can you just book round trip and not use the return portion? We have never traveled to Europe before so this is all new to us...

Plus will there be enough activities to keep you busy for 6 days at sea? We have never taken a Disney cruise before..

There were so many activities on the WB TA that, even with six sea days in a row, it took me the entire two weeks to read one book!!!

WELCOME

Travel in Europe is new to us also, so I'm no help there, but YES there is more than enough to keep busy on the sea days! :woohoo: DCL has more than enough stuff going on and then there is the DIS events.

Thanks for the warm welcome. We haven't booked yet. We are struggling between the East and West repos. DH and I want the west because it will be our 10 year anniversary and we have never been to Europe or any of the Caribbean ports. We are struggling that the East would be better for our boys because it will be over spring break and late in the school year vs just beginning the school year. I think we will opt'd for West though. I like the idea of warmer weather, gaining hours and long flight over with first.

We really want a verandah room but are trying to decide if it's worth the extra 2K. I am thinking it might be for 14 days.

Our boys will be 9 and almost 6 when we cruise. I like the idea of there not being as many children on board but would like to have some for them to hang out with.

Three of the reasons I picked the WB and I like the itinerary better too. Love the idea of some time in the Caribbean at the end. I can tell you, no matter which one you pick, there are some great DIS folks on either one (and some people on BOTH)!

The verandah would be nice (I opted for one on this cruise as it's such a good price), but I did the WB Panama in a cat 11 and still had a fabulous time. Spent lots of time on deck hanging with friends or reading a book and the inside cabin was GREAT for naps! ::yes:: Think of that 2K as 'only' $250 per person/per week....I can rationalize pretty much anything here. But $2k would be some nice spending money for excursions and shopping. Or it can go towards that pesky airfare.

Happy Halloween! Thought I would share some pictures from the Hudson Valley's Great Jack O'Lantern Blaze last night.

Some Captain Jack O'Lanterns!!

Those pictures are awesome! I'm on call at the Disney Store tonight, but I'm hoping I don't have to work so I can pass out trick-or-treat candy to the kids! I wonder how many pirates we'll have????

Just popping in to say HELLO! Too many pages for me to catch up and too far out - so I'll just attempt a hey, how are you ? Every now and then!:thumbsup2

i found it cheaper to do dcl on the repos dcl usually wants more money for the airfare, but for the repos they come in at agood price. this year it cost me 957 dollars from philly to barcelona than orlando to philly a person. the price i was getting for dummy bookings was around 1200 dollars just for philly to barcelona round trip the one way booking was around 2,000 dollars. so if i were to do it my own it will cost 1200 dollars from philly to barcelona round trip i will of course not use the return than i have to purchase orlando to philywhich one way will probaly be around 150 dollars than i will have to add on ground transportation which will be about 70 dollars a person. for a savings of 450 dollars a person using dcl. sometime if you have multi city bookings you can get a good price through the airlines but its not coming up for these flights. in 2007 dcl had me on very good flights the same flights i would of booked on my own philly to barcelona nonstop leaving at night getting to bcn in the morning of my cruise, than from orlando to philly leaving at 12:15 the flight i always book myself. no guarantees that you will getgood
flights in 2010 i might get terrible flights with stops. but for the savings of over 450 a person i will take my chances. you can always cancelled your dcl flights within 90 days i believe if you find something cheaper or dont want to take the chance of having bad flight times. if you do book it yourself do not have a layover in europe a lot of people didnt get their luggage into a few days later since the airilines lost it. your last stop before getting to bcn should be in the unitede states.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE

:hmghost: :maleficen

Jen, thanks for sharing those great pictures. Someone really put a lot of work into those. Where I am living, out in the country there arnt any decorations to see, I really miss that. I dont think I will even get one kid tonight:sad2:

Last year about 140 and many were pirates and princesses:love:

Have a great day everyone,

Kathy

Yes cancelation policy is 90 days but payment is due 120 days. They told me you would be refunded all of your money if you cancel within the 90 days.

...
you'll get both sides of the Atlantic - European and Caribbean sides so you can't go wrong! :thumbsup2

It's like you get the Eastern Tortola itinerary in addition to the European ports
This cruise is cheaper than the Tortola ones.

Our son will be 7 and will only have 3 days of school until he'll be out for 3 weeks . Also, we too will be celebrating our anniversary (15 years) when we arrive on castaway cay.

Our anniversary will be 4 days after we get off the ship. Number 43 for us. HHHMM.. .maybe we will need to book another so we can stay on the ship. Or will it be going into dry dock?

whats going on why are we on the second page?
i have been watching the phillies parade for almost 4 hours now its still going on.

Maybe everybody else is too? :thumbsup2

I'm at work so I sometimes can't jump on and just post (sometimes I can, but not really today).

How many people are taking their children trick or treating today? I don't have any kids, but if I don't have to work, I'm going to be passing out candy for sure!

I'll give us a nudge to keep us off page 2.
I think lots of people are busy today preparing to take their kids out or to a party for the evening, especially since Halloween fell on a Friday this year.

(I never look at the main page for us...I always look in my subscription list to see what's been updated.)

We had our trick-or-treat last night! The weather was awesome! We had temps in the 30's a couple of days this week, but last night turned to upper 50's. The kids were all dancing with delight.

well the phillies parade lasted 5 hours today all commercial free on the comcast sports network. the parade might not be as long when they win the world series next year.they will be the team to beat.they will probaly only lose pat burrel. 3 no names and gordon which has been injured most of the year. only time will tell.

Well aren't you optimistic?!

Happy Halloween everyone! Just caught up on the thread while waiting for the Trick or Treaters. Welcome to the new folks! Hope everyone has a wonderful, spooky night and a great weekend. Will catch up again on Monday!! By the way, WE CLOSED ON OUR HOUSE TODAY!!!! We have been waiting a year so we are really excited - can you tell! YEAH!! It was painless, but had to sign a funny paper that said "even though the house appraised for $____ there is no guarantee with all the houses that the appraisal in this market will stay that way." The attorney said this is his first house closing with this addendum. Scary!
