 Yeah:banana:

So I could not stay up to watch Eleventh Hour last night. I just watched it on TIVO and got to see Brooklyn. She was cut out of the first scene. 2nd scene you could see her perfect and the third you could see her too.

Love the Yaris ... This is exactly what we got DS Dylan for him to drive , though I have put alot of miles on it too ...LOL

Here he is on a proud day for him , me too but its sign I am getting older :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

DH got Andrew, my son an Echo which at one time took $18 dollars to fill up. The car was put in storage when he moved out. That Echo will now be passed on to DD who's been been driving us absolutely  to get her driver's license. I wanted her to drive the Saturn Ion which DD just left behind but I talked her into the Echo. Its a bit "heavier" than the Saturn and while both are 4 cyclinder, the Echo is a bit more jazzed up due to her brother having tricked it out - what with the TV, tinted window and body kit. Now that I think about it - :scratchin - maybe I should make her drive the Saturn.

Dylans is no frills as well, Manual transmission , manual door locks , also roll down windows , he does have AC and Radio ..LOL But we wanted to make sure he was driving , and not texting on his phone or talking on the phone and driving , hence the reason why its a manual tranny ... Makes him have to think and drive , unlike an auto tanny :thumbsup2 To me an automatic is like being a passenger with a steering wheel :lmao:

pirate:

This reminds me of a story - DS deliberately bought a stick when he bought his new Scion (which he has since tricked out and has come in 3, 2 and 1 in a local car club contest) anyway, the one ones who know how to drive stick are my son and myself. Anywho, Andrew, constantly freaks me out when I lend him my car by saying he's been hit (I have a GL550 that was tricked out by Brabus) so when we dropped him off to pick up his car, his old car, an Eclipse, was stick. I hadn't driven a stick in years, so I get behind the wheel, he's outside looking at me and I'm hesitating. He asks? What's wrong? I say nothing and as he starts to walk away, I roll the window down and call him back to ask him :rolleyes1:...............Andrew? Which one is clutch and which one is the brake? :scared1: :rotfl2:

OMG! I about pee'd my pants at the look on his face :scared1: :scared1: :lmao: He about tore his hair out (all 1 inch of it) and ran yelling over to the car and yanked the door open and told me to get out - he'd leave the car at the dealership overnight. I laughed and drove off (without stalling the car THANK GOD! ) But let me tell you - that moment was priceless! :lmao: ::yes:: Mean, I know but heck - he did it to me with my new baby. So as I've always warned my kids - turnabout is fair play. ;)

:cheer2: :cheer2: Kudos to you for teaching your DS to drive a stick. I prefer a manual

BTW, Cpt - April wants to know if he'll be attending the meet in March? ;)

transmission (and do drive one) but they are getting harder and harder to find in the U.S.

They are and according to the dealership most are sold to young men - wonder why! ;)

My first car outta high school was an Escort GT with Manual Trans...my dad retired from Ford, so all my cars have and will be Fords....anyway, I loved it. When I got to college I didn't have to worry about anyone wanting to borrow it...my mom won't even drive it.

I had and Explorer and traded it in for my Fusion....Manual as well. Now I don't have to worry about my DP asking to borrow it too much either. She can drive it, but not well.:rotfl2:

Once you get used to a manual, it's a no brainer. I find myself reaching for the shifter and trying to push the clutch when I drive her car.

You all have been busy while I have been shopping! :) We got DD #2 a laptop for Christmas at Walmart. It was only $298 ~score!~:thumbsup2 That is the one thing she asked for. We had to get up at 5am to get it but I'm glad that is done. That is the one "big" thing we have to worry about this year. We tend to go WAY overboard on Christmas so we have vowed to down size it this year.:santa:

Nice deal on the laptop:thumbsup2

Christmas this year will be very easy for us...Will be in WDW:cool1: We are doing a land/sea package then an additional 16 days in FL. Already told the girls that the vacation is pretty much Christmas this year. I am not going to stress this year about what's under or not under the Christmas tree. Sure they'll find a few things under the tree and in their fish extender pockets, but nothing that can't easily be brought back in a suitcase.:)

Sounds perfect to me. All the "stuff" you get for Christmas breaks gets outdated, lost, etc., but you can't take all those wonderful family memories away! You rock! I just wish I was on your Christmas list :rotfl: .

Sorry, that wasn't me. I have not ever been to a culinary demo or a TA before.
But I look forward to meeting you.

Fairy Godmother, Were you on the Magic in Feb 2008?[/QUOTE]

Nope. There is another Fairy Godmother on the DIS. The spacing on the name is different.

Just giving us a quick bump!

I'm counting down the hours now until my tooth will be taken care of...I can only hope that the pain will end soon. Granted, I know after it's pulled it's going to hurt but I'm just hoping the end is in sight!

Okay, I haven't read any posts for a couple of days, but so excited had to post. Went to Cypress Gardens, didn't like it so we ended up at Disney - yes Disney snobs we are - ha ha! Anyway, on our way there we passed a Florida candy store and I found what I am bringing on the cruise for the sampling. I am so excited I couldn't wait to get home and tell all of you!!!! YEAH!! T Rex was wonderful, but the candy was the thrill of the day for me.

That is exciting!!!!!!! I still have to figure something out...I've got time yet though! :)

Glad to hear the T-Rex was wonderful. I'm excited to see it the next time I'm down there! :)

Nice tease Sandi  Sounds like you had a great day.

Is there a place where the candy sampling is listed as to who is bringing what? I was thinking Jelly Belly Beans or Belly Flops from the factory in Fairfield or salt water taffy from San Francisco or Monterey? I know I have time to decide, but I like planning well in advance and I may have read many, many posts ago that someone mentioned the Belly Flops but I could have read it somewhere else in cyber space. :confused3

Is there a list posted somewhere of who has offered to bring what for the candy sampling?

Many thanks,
Linda

I didn't mean to tease :upsidedow I had a messed up day that turned out for the better. There were thousands of people getting into Cypress Gardens for the $5.00 day and imagine if Disney did that but only had 2 cars for Space Mountain running and 2 for Splash Mountain - can you imagine the lines - and I am NOT exaggerating. It was unbelievable. They had a raft ride with only one raft!!! I felt like screaming. I guess you get what you pay for - it was $5.00 and I expected Disney service - shame on me. How does everybody feel about key lime for a candy treat????

We had such a fun weekend with my DSiL. We all decide spur of the moment yesterday afternoon to spend more than we should have and go see the stage play of The Wedding Singer down in Manchester. becasue my DSiL is juts as zany as we are we all dressed in 80s style to go:rotfl2: It was a riot (and a fun show)

Disneygirl02--good luck with the tooth tomorrow. I will be thinking of you:hug:

Thank you, Hadley! I'm nervous but happy to get rid of the pain all at the same time. In 12 hours from now I'll probably be driving to the dentist with my mom. I opted to be put under (I don't do well while awake with these things) so I need a driver with me. My mom is usually the patient so she's happy to be the driver this time.

I'll be thinking about you and Dave on Wednesday! :goodvibes I hope it works out for you! If you move, where would you end up?

OMG! I LOVE The Wedding Singer! We saw it on Broadway right before it went off! It is such a great show with wonderful songs and dancing! It was sad it wasn't on B-way longer. Enjoy the show!!!!

You do sound like a tease!

Oh Erik & Jason are going to be SOOOO jealous that you went to T-Rex! They were so bummed that it hadn't opened up before we went on the cruise.

I'll certainly say a prayer for Dave! It would be wonderful for something great to happen to you guys!

Key lime pie is one of my favorites, too!

I'm so glad you all had such a fun time this weekend! As usual, Hadley, you really know how to create great memories!

Marilyn, do you mean TheFaireygod Mother (Dee)? I don't remember that she cruised in Feb though. :confused3 If it is her, I believe she booked this cruise (or is booking it while on the Magic this week). She has a new user name now, due to computer crash and fogetting old password.

Yes, that is her. I don't know which Disney cruise I met her on - it could have been the WBTA. I believe she was traveling with her neice.

The older I get, the more I forget:confused: . Maybe we should all wear name tags the first few days to help the memory:rolleyes:
