Thanks everyone for all the prayers. She's done better tonight than last night. So, praying through the night goes better. I can't take another 3 hr night of sleep! Thank God my DH comes home tomorrow night! She totally didn't want to take her medicine tonight and I told her this was the only way we were going to get to go on the cruise is if she took it so she got better. It worked! =) Then DS saw she was getting something and thought he was missing out. So, he was crying because he wanted the medicine. I was like I must be on a show where one is crying because they don't want the medicine. The other doesn't know what medicine is but is crying because he doesn't get any. :confused3

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Sweet Dreams!!!!

6 days folks, and my list is not shrinking... And, on top of my vacation list I also have work!! sheesh!! I still have about 20 things to do!!! Seriously - how the heck did I get so far behind?

So this weekend we will be working our tails off to make sure the house is in proper condition for our return as well as wrapping up the last minute stuff...

Wish us luck!!

Best of luck. I can't thank you enough for sorting out the tastings. Looking good. There are a couple of conflicts, but that is to be expected. :cool1::cool1:

I know I'm sitting here wondering what I did for the past 23 months! I keep building this tower of stuff to take, and had no idea how I was supposed to squeeze all of this into any suitcase. :confused3:confused3

I have been saying this all day! You'd think that we would be ready by now since we are 6 days away from leaving for Barcy. And for me, my next day off isn't until we leave. Hopefully Amanda can get my
to do list done this weekend.

Pixie dust and prayers to all that need it.

I call my credit card company now. I hit my Charles schwab card. As I'm telling him the places I'm going he ask if I was going on the Disney magic. I told him yes and ask him how he know. He said i was the 3 person calling him today with that itinerary. Then at the end of the call he said i will be seeing you in 10 days on the ship. What are the odds.

Both DH John and I had a great laugh over your post. I don't even think you could calcu;ate the odds on that one!

Hi everyone,

I am settled in my new house and most of the boxes have been unpacked. The recycling guy almost had a heart attack when he saw all the stuff on the front lawn. I have just finished putting the last things in my suitcases and I fly out tomorrow to London to join the ABD Cities of Knights and Lights tour. Then off to Barcelona and then THE MAGIC. I am really looking forward to meeting all of you. I will will keep you in my prayers that you have safe and comfortable flights. Good luck with your packing and preparations. See you soon, Trudy

I am in the same situation as you. Trying to get some key work projects completed or transitioned so they can continue while I'm out, while getting things ready at home for the trip. I have DH focusing on laundry, but I need to get him moving on some other things as well so I can stop stressing a little bit.

Question, please? I understand rotating the restuarants, but what is rotational dinners? :confused3
Thanks.

On each ship, there are three restaurants that you rotate among in a consistent pattern (Animator's, Parrot Cay and Lumiere's), thus the rotation restaurants (to distinguish them from Palo and Topsiders.) Each rotational restaurant has it's signature menu that highlights the theme of the restaurant. These are the rotational menus. On those nights, each restaurant will serve different food from what is served in the other restaurants that night. You will generally only get the Animator's Palate "show" when you eat at AP on a rotational menu night. The rest of the nights are theme nights, where the same menu is used across the three restaurants.

Aah, and now he has your credit card information and it's noted that you plan to use your credit card in the various cities, so he's free to travel around as well using your card information!

Well, here I am at 11:30 pm and I'm awake. I went to bed very tired at 9:00 and feel asleep quickly. Twice a neighbor must have been beside his window yelling with excitement. I feel back to sleep after the first one, but the second time kept me up. :headache:

One thing that was on my mind as I was trying to get back to sleep was the new formal night. Since it appears it is now on Night 2, JUST A REMINDER THAT YOU NEED TO GET YOUR FORMAL ATTIRE OUT FOR PRESSING ASAP WHEN YOU BOARD!!!

....P.S. .... Got Palos straightened out.....:)

Whew!

.....some prayers to the powers that be for a dear friend of mine. He went into the hospital today to have a stent placed in his heart to eliminate a blockage. Unfortunately, the procedure did not work and he has now been transferred to the Univ. of Penn Hospital and will undergo open heart surgery tomorrow. His name is Eric and his wife is Karen and they have two adorable little girls (Bonnie and Annabelle) who are 8 and 5.....

Erik has more prayers going up and some for Karen, too, to help her get through the day. Keep us posted!

:thumbsup2 Luck is something we can wish for! Sorry that we've all put such a burden on you and Glenn that it's stressing you. The bad timing with all the work demands and changes haven't helped, either.

THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING THAT YOU'VE DONE FOR US!!!

Oh my! It's just all around a bad week for you and the munchkins! So sorry! I'm glad that DH will be there to help out and allow you to possibly get some rest. The last thing you need is to get sick yourself because you're so worn down. Hang in there!

Yes! Again, thank you for taking the time, and if conflicts cannot be resolved, don't worry about it. We're big girls and boys and can make choices on how to deal with the situation.

FYI, if the mixology class doesn't get swapped, for all of you going to Diversions for the Jersey Wearing Party, know that I'll get there, but I'll be there late!

Sue - I sent you a PM about a conflict we have with the 2nd martini tasting session, respectfully requesting to be put into the first tasting group the day before.

In your note above you mention swapping out one of the wine sessions with mixology, yet I only see one wine session listed. Is that because there is a 2nd wine session that is as yet unconfirmed?

I have a feeling everything is going to work out fine. I am coughing up a lung right now, but I will get this out of my system, so I will have a marvelous cruise next week. No worries.

I hope you get this out of your system and feel better soon :flower3:.

Wherever I eat, I'm hoping it will be with friends.

You bet you will!

I have one more load of laundry to do so I can finish packing.:laundy:

I need to go on USAIR's website and see how much it will cost for an extra case.

From FB:

Paula Sillars ‎... 355 aftershocks so far - no wonder people are stressed!

OMG! Poor Paula and all the New Zealanders! Hope all goes well for them and that the earth stops shaking.

Thought I would share a funny FB post from one of our relatives:

Dear God, please bring back Jimi Hendrix and Janis Joplin. In return I'll give you Justin Bieber and Ke$ha. In Jesus' name, Amen

Yes, please!!!

You guys have been amazing in sending your prayers around the world. Well, I'm hoping you can send some prayers to the powers that be for a dear friend of mine. He went into the hospital today to have a stent placed in his heart to eliminate a blockage. P&PD for the whole family. Please let us know how things go.

I am a little behind in this but, with tie wraps just make sure you use ones that can be easily broken or make sure you have a cutting tool of some sort. Did that once, had to use a thicker tie and didn't have a means to cut it when I got to my destination. It can be amazing what can be done with a paperclip and chewing gum.
Jon

Hey, is your last name McGuiver??

Sue, you so totally rock! Thanks again for doing this.

It is martini, not wine... I obviously should get some sleep - or have a drink... LOL

Disney Magic please take me away!!!! So, I was in the ER most of the night last night with my DD 4 yr old. She has croup and couldn't breathe! It was so scary!! They put her on breathing treatments and gave her steroids. Then we went to the pediatrician today and gave her more. They said she should be fine by next week. I'm just praying that our DS 1 yr old won't get this! They said it will be much more serious if he does. My DH flew out this morning. I'm so glad it was before he left for a few days. Well, I'm literally just dreaming of the Magic!!!

I hope she feels better soon!

.

I saw Alyssa's post on FB about him, but I didn't know what was wrong! That is terrible! He is too young to be having problems like that. Please let me know how he makes out.

I have two questions for anybody who can answer them:

1) What do you suggest I buy 'just in case' of sea sickness? I had like Bonine (or something like that) the last time but I didn't need to take any. With the way my stomach has been with the new medicine (which I'm stopping after talking to the doctor) I want to be prepared just in case.

2) I know that you need to sign up for the Galley Tour on the first day because it fills up. Where do you sign up for it? Guest relations or Rockin' Bar D?

I have so much I need to do tomorrow - get prescriptions filled for the trip, get the candy for the candy swap, take the school supplies that we are collecting at the Disney Store up to the Store so I can get some VolunTEER hours (plus all of the supplies are going to the inner-city school where my sister teaches), continue working on my FE, write out the postcards, pack, and make a list of things I need to pack... OMG, where did the time go?!

First and foremost, why not get a quote from Barcelona Taxi so you have an idea of what the cost might be for you guys.

For example, here is what they quote me in red below:

Hello
Thank you for contacting BARCELONA TAXI VAN
Price for requested service is Euro 40. This is a closed price which includes taxes and luggage.

Kind regards,
BARCELONA TAXI VAN

Once again thank you for the excellent and useful information.

Perhaps with as active a thread as this one is, maybe DCL is paying attention to the comments. One can always hope!!
fingerscrossed.gif

they'd have to employ someone full time just to keep up.... mind you that doesn't sound like such a bad job

P & pixiedust: for your friends.

Sometimes you've really got to wonder about kids, i just sai to mine "so this time next week we'll be on our way to Barcelona" and one said "why" and the other "ok"... Perhaps my mistake was saying Barcelona and not The Disney Magic
oh well i'm off to tell DH the same thing so hopefully someone will share my excitment.

I hope she feels better soon!

I like the gravol Ginger lozenges and I also bring the fast/slow gravel, the half white half pink tablet.

At guest services

Have a safe trip and a fabulous time!!!! See you in Barcelona! :thumbsup2
