Hello you all...

Haven't been here for a while?!? So busy with Simon and exhausted at night, when I usually read DISboards...

Should starting making any lists... Hopefully get it done on the weekend. Getting my cruise hairdo on Saturday. *woohoo* :cool1:

AND I have one more questions that came to my mind...

How about the changing facilites for the little ones?!? Do they have neat little diaper changing rooms? Or is it just the restrooms?

Sending bit HELLOs to you... So looking forward to meeting you.
Did I miss something very very very very important... I would regret not knowing???

thx
Steffi.

I hope you get some great relaxation time on the cruise Steffi. Sorry I don't know the answer to the changing facilities(thankfully;):lmao:)

Busy day here - it is my birthday! 51 years old, how did that happen :scared1:
The cases are now packed and don`t look too bad, apart from the new CC which have gone awol in the post I think we may be sorted. Though you should never speak too soon.

We had emails from both the Praktik Hotel and the Praktik Ramblas which is a bit alarming as we cancelled our reservation at the Praktik Hotel. I`ve emailed them to confirm the cancellation we made in January. This is when you fear it may all decend into farce and all reservations end up cancelled - such is life!

Corinna - when you say you were listing a flight - what does that mean?

Another just curious - where is Connie - the lady who is organising the champagne meet??

Secondly, most of my FE stuff is now finished and I must say, I'm rather pleased with the results!!! :thumbsup2

Can't wait to see them!!
Sounds like you are ready to go!! I am afraid of this weekend's packing weight!!
Me, too!

Connie asked me to post a picture she took of our finished lanyard pin on the board.

Can't wait to surprise my boys with their pins!
You didn't do too badly. Make sure you when you multi quote that you keep the brackets in the posts. You then post after the bracket from the original posters post. Do you understand what I mean?
Also, you can check what your post looks like before posting it by clicking on the preview post button.

Laura has landed....JFK to BCN flight is delayed by about 45 minutes.....now hope traffic is good to them between LGA and JFK!!!
Good news. Keep us posted. We are all sitting at the edges of our seats!

I don't know where Connie is, but I'm guessing she is getting ready to leave soon as she is doing the B2B.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hope you have a great day!!:cool1::cool1::cool1:

Where is Connie? Connie, come out, come out wherever you are!!!:flower3:

 I`m so sorry, I hope they get things sorted soon :grouphug:,

Ahhhh!!!! If it is through DCL won't they find them another flight or put them up in a hotel? Ugh! That is a rough ride - didn't want to say too much, but I thought if they made it - they would be VERY lucky!!! Keep us posted from her FB.

Connie - good to hear from you - but waiting for Orlando Connie now to sign on!!!

Thank you for doing the pins. They look great. Can't wait to see them in person.

I love playing games, as well. Looking forward to good times on the Magic.

Laura, Andrew and Ken are spending the night in NYC....will try again tomorrow.....

Wow - I was 10 pages behind on reading and as I was following from your first post I was hoping they would make it. Well, since they didn't, I hope they make out okay tomorrow and that they can relax tonight after all the anxiety. Just one more reason to build in at least a little time before heading out.

Speaking of recipes, in case you haven't seen it, here's a cool site with LOTS of recipes from the WDW restaurants.

http://allears.net/din/rec.h

Good stuff; thanks.

I don't watch too much TV, but love Project Runway, Lie to Me and Pawn Stars (most watched show on the History Channel--sort of like Antiques Roadshow but wackier). Greg and I were in Las Vegas in April and went to the Pawn Shop used in the show--what a hoot!

Andrea

Ooo, I'm another Lie to Me fan!

Im NOT in the money, last night I dropped my new posh phone, after buying new memory and loading all my stuff in it, twice in my life ive lost phones, once in Switzerland, and the extremes the folks went to to get it back to me, take it to the bus, bus driver dropped it in to hotel reception...switzerland,
this phone I drop 2 mins from home and someone picked it up and kept it, it was engaged for 30 mins after I lost it then switched off, it had lots of credit and battery in it. Scotland can be a real dissapointment sometimes, and then I think of all the phones Ive returned to folks:confused3.
Anyway, it could have been worse, could have been one of the beagles I lost

I just don't understand some people; sorry you lost your phone.

We are Michael and Tricia (hotfudgesundae) using this trip to celebrate our 36th wedding anniversary which we just celebrated on 31 Aug,

We're right behind you datewise (our anniversary was yesterday, Sept. 1) and one year ahead of you at 37 years. I just can't believe I found DH; he is a wonderful man :lovestruc:hug:.

maybe we should just all make a pact to not worry about the wobbly bits and give up on the spanx?!

Sounds like a plan to me :thumbsup2.

I think maybe we should .... a few of us have commented that the spanx or magic knockers didn't quite have the desired effect, and have sent them back. Maybe our expectations were just too high.
Lets embrace our wobbly bits !!!!!

Did you mean knickers? I kind of had to laugh at the magic knockers. To us Americans "knockers" is another term for female upper parts...why? I have no idea.

Like you I can cope with an hour of shopping, that is why I seem to have to shop every day at the moment. I do love a shopping trip with a friend though. Lots of coffee breaks, lunch, and a right good natter. Little actual shopping.

That works for me, too.

Had to smile at that saying Judy.......'Cool Beans' is my friend's favourite saying and you are the only other person I know who has said it,...

I used to say that all the time.

we did thank you, lunch at a nice riverside pub :cloud9: then made Becky trek round a garden centre where she ended up buying several cacti and a venus fly trap for her new flat! (she reckons she won't be able to kill them) We're taking her back to Bristol on Saturday so I'm making the most of our time these last couple of days.....

Sounds like you had a good time w/Becky. Glad to hear it.

First up, I received my cruise documents at last!!! :dance3: I wasn't too fussed/worried but it's nice to be official!!! ;)

Holy mackerel, that really took a long time!

Secondly, most of my FE stuff is now finished and I must say, I'm rather pleased with the results!!!

Thirdly, I have only one more door magnet left to work on and have printed out all those that are completed!!!

Fourthly, I checked all my cruise clothes and I actually think I'm done. Just waiting on a pair of gold sandals to arrive before I can close the case - well, not literally but you know what I mean... I'm really happy with most of the outfits and can't wait to wear them now!!! Bring it on!!!

And finally, I've almost finished making a complex DVC rental reservation (just 1 day to go) for a Fairytale Wedding that has been several months in the planning. As we're now so cleaned out points-wise, I'm thinking I might just see what the onboard offers are like...

Uh, oh, do I smell an add-on?

I forgot to mention that Jason and I must've done a really great job packing because we got everything we wanted & needed to bring into 3 suitcases (all under 48 lb.) and one carry-on each (my carry on is basically a computer bag with some extra odds and ends in it and Jason is carrying on a rolling suitcase---the smaller kind that are often called "pilot bags" and that we're HOPING will fit the requirements for carry on so we won't have to check it!)

Anyhow....we had plenty of room to pack games, so I hope there really are folks who wanna play some games on this ship! We are bringing (if I can remember all of them):

Taboo
Cranium
Buzz Word
Boggle
Bananagrams

And a bunch of different card games:
Uno (Disney Theme Parks Edition)
Skip Bo
Blink
Ziggity
Swap
Bandits
Cards (standard regular deck---Disney themed of course---for Euchre, rummy, etc.)

(If you're not familiar with any of those games, just google them and check them out...none are hard to learn and all are pretty fun!)

So we will definitely have games to keep ourselves entertained!

I decided not to bring the MahJongg cards since there's a long learning curve, but I thought I might bring Bunco if anyone likes to play that.

Connie asked me to post a picture she took of our finished lanyard pin on the board.

Looks great!

I first heard Cool Beans when I started working at TGI Fridays wayyyyy back when. I use it all the time. That and Yippie Skippie!!!

Yup, used that one too. Must be a generational thing.

Noel, I didn't mean to forget about you! The pins look wonderful and thank you for all your work too! I wish I had ordered one.

I ordered two; you can have one if you'd like.

Happy Birthday and Congratulations on being 51 years young !!!!

Happy Birthday from me, too!!

And safe travels to anyone who is leaving. Lucky you. We'll see you in 2 weeks. Yay!

I am trying to pack today. But after shopping yesterday it is harder, have to leave something behind. Did I mention that I live on a sailboat so it's hard for me to just lay things out and leave them like others can do in a spare room? So once I start a project I have to finish it.

Wow thats really cool living on a boat! But I can imagine what you mean about not having the space to pack!

Well I have had 3 emails from the Praktik Rambla. The first one I only saw written in Spanish and was worried they had cancelled my reservation or something:scared1:, until I scrolled down and found English!!! There are 3 events on while we are there and they want to know if we want tickets. I haven't heard of 2 of the people, the 3rd is a football match with Barcelona playing at home to some unknown to me team. so, I won't be spending any money on these.;)

I got them too - made me panic for a second until we figured out it was for event/tickets.

Connie asked me to post a picture she took of our finished lanyard pin on the board.
finishedpin.jpg

They look amazing!

Should we dress for dinner of the villains?
Actually, I am a perfect Cruella de Vil, even without disguise or at least that's what my kids say.

That's very funny about what your children say! :rotfl2: Some people are dressing up for villains night, some are wearing purple and black and many people are just wearing their normal cruise clothing. We are not dressing up for it or for pirate night either.

Busy day here - it is my birthday! 51 years old, how did that happen :scared1:

Happy birthday!

I got a DCL refund too - a whole $US20.70 - still better than a kick up the bum :)

Safe travels to those going on the B2B and leaving us! Does this mean the number of posts will decrease?
