Congratulations to all of you who have successfully lost weight. I know how hard it is. Wish I could report the same. Now the dreaded question. Do any of you know if there is a scale on board? I half-way looked in the gym the last time I was there but didn't see one. Should the gym be closed (someone mentioned it might be) other then the deck walk is there somewhere else we can use to workout? I have recorded the sound from my excercise tapes on my ipod. Having done them so many times I don't need to see the video just hear the instructions and music. That way if the gym is closed I'll just do them on my own. Tomorrow I see my real doctor to get the results of my tests. Maybe he'll have the answers as to why I keep gaining weight even though I've done everything they tell me to; added more weights to my workout, increased workout to 2 hours a day, dropped caloric intake to 750 a day and taking medroxprogesterone pills. Oh to be 20 again but have the life experience of being 55. val
Funnily enough, I was thinking the same thing, I cant mind if there were scales in the gym, surely though there must be, usually there always are?

If the gym being closed was me that started that, I said our first cruise was just OUT of dry dock and the gym was unopend the entire crusie, IT BETTER BE OPEN THIS CRUISE
I know all of us have had those days where we feel shot down, stepped on and worthless - that is me today! Question for the women - I just got a call from my doctor and was told that I have to come back in next week because they noticed a "density" on my squishy test. What does that mean and has anyone ever had it?????? Why can't the few weeks before the cruise not have any bumps. I know there are quite a few of us asking the same question - Todd, Angie and the list goes on and on.
Try not to worry, Im going for tests next week, I really wasnt worried till Len had a nightmare that I died:hug: I think he is worring more than me !!!
I refuse to worry about anything except what shoes Im packing:laughing:
I really hope the gym isn't closed ... why on earth would they do that ???
We really want to use the gym if we can. I will be really :sad2::sad2: if we can't and DH will be gutted.
If the gym being closed was me that started that, I said our first cruise was just OUT of dry dock and the gym was unopend the entire crusie, IT BETTER BE OPEN THIS CRUISE.sorry, think that was my fault
Okay, I never thought I would have to say this but after living in this house for 32 years, there is a Manhunt going on in our neighborhood!!! :scared1:

Thank goodness Hubby is home!!!
that sounds exciting!
Surely they won`t close the gym??? Heck I`ve just sorted out my gym clothes - no idea how to use the equipment though :confused3

If the gym being closed was me that started that, I said our first cruise was just OUT of dry dock and the gym was unopend the entire crusie, IT BETTER BE OPEN THIS CRUISE.sorry once again, I think that may have been a rumour kinda started by me.

Terry, that sounds kind of scary. What's going on there?

We bought ours on board. They were offering reduced prices at the time. I think there's a special promotion right now for a free Disney Dream cruise if you buy (or add on) a minimum number of points. I'll be happy to talk to you about the benefits (and drawbacks) of membership - I believe in full disclosure!

I am right there with you. I am willing to talk to anyone about DVC both benefits and drawbacks. We love owning DVC, but there are drawbacks people should know about before they buy.

Not sure, State Police helicopters flying above, cops all over but nothing on the news. I want hubby to stay home instead of going to band practice.

He rode down to check things out on his cycle and no one is saying anything.

Sure makes me feel safe and I suddenly want to learn how to shoot!!!

Thanks for all your kinds words. Next week is the time I pushed it up. They wanted to redo the test on the 17th of September and I told them NO WAY - leaving to get out of the country on the trip of a lifetime. She quickly changed it to next week.

I have "density" everywhere else, this shouldn't surprise me, but I appreciate everyone filling me in. Val, you are right, they said I might have to do an ultrasound but that would be the same day while I am there.

I will keep thinking of reading my book on Deck 4 and laughing with all of you!:rotfl:

Sorry, all, the Gym WILL be open! And there IS a scale (a nice big doctor's office type) in the ladies changing area. Sorry to dissapoint! :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Good thoughts and pixiedust: to you.

I see Hurricane Danielle is making the news today. Good thing she's getting it out of her system now!

It's so beautiful here today! It's around 82 with lots of sunshine! I decided to go out for lunch while I was running my errands, which included ordering GBP for Gibraltar. I went to Noodles. I love their food for a semi-fast food option.

While I was out, I also headed over to Costco (warehouse club retailer for those who don't know). The signs of Fall were there.....leaf rakes, excessive beer (tailgating and parties), corn hole boards (tailgating), gigantic pots of mums, and Halloween costumes for the munchkins. Today was the first day of school, too, so it was strange to see the school bus pull up. I  Fall! It's my favorite time of year, yet all the beautiful things about it don't last long enough.

Guess I hafta update my confounded signature............. better late than never........

Great to have you with us....plans or not!

Plans .....we dont need no stinkin plans ...LOL :lmao::lmao::lmao:....3 weeks , are you kidding we leave in 2 from today :scared1:....
I really hope the Italian Consulate gets busy in a hurry or I for sure wont have no plans :scared1:

I was thinking about that this weekend wondering if you have any sense as to when you'll get the attention you need. Fingers still crossed!!!

Its sort of dawned on me that I need to pack next week :scared1: The following week I`m either working or taking my dad away for four nights. So its either next week or the day before we leave home.
It so close now :cool1:

:thumbsup2 Sounds like a discovery if you ask me!

.....I've lost a bit, but Scott has lost 107 lbs!!!!!! That just means he can dance with me even more on the ship!!!!:cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1:

Yeah, can you tell I'm excited???!!!!:rotfl::rotfl:

 Congratulations to you both!! Scott's transformation is fantastic!!! :worship:

I'm excited for you! I just cannot imagine how it feels to be back after letting go! :woohoo:

I know all of us have had those days where we feel shot down, stepped on and worthless - that is me today! Question for the women - I just got a call from my doctor and was told that I have to come back in next week because they noticed a "density" on my squishy test.....

I completely agree with Val. I think this request is common, and if you already know your body has "density", then you're right. You shouldn't be surprised. I know it's difficult to not worry, but really, there's nothing at all to fret about but filling that new piece of luggage! Those mammograms are not very good. You would think with all the technology that we have now that they would be more accurate. The good news is that they're not going to just take the pictures they have now and pass it off as acceptable. So one more squish, and you'll be good to go!

 It is disturbing, and I'm sorry you're experiencing it. Just check in with us again when you know the incident is over!

....I'm going for tests next week, I really wasnt worried till Len had a nightmare that I died:hug: I think he is worring more than me !!!
I refuse to worry about anything except what shoes Im packing:laughing:....

 to you, too!!! There ya go! That's the right attitude!

Okay, so I'd like to do the room tours, the pj breakfast, the 5k run (through Disney). Don't know how to put it on the site. Lorraine and Giles got me a t-shirt, so unless I'm missing something, I think I'm set.

Oops, I'd also like to do the fish extender and maybe the candy thing if that is still open. We are GTY, so no room number.

I believe if you check the first page that both the candy and FE are closed but you can still get wrist bands. There are three tee shirts, cruise, and Mickey Mouse, FYI.

Phewwwww

I guess that's just less to pack. : ) I'm still going to hang mine so I can find my room. : ) I need to make magnets now!

Seems so weird to have planned this trip from the beginning when it went on sale and then to have backed out earlier this summer, only to be doing everything last minute. Very exciting!

My TA just called and our documents are in. She'll bring them by the house tonight. She indicated they aren't as nice as they use to be but way better then those Princess uses. Everything from Princess is sent electronically, including the luggage tags. The positive is everyone gets theirs at the same time and you don't have to wait. The negative is you have to print everything including the paper luggage tags that you are told not to put on until you pickup your luggage at the airport. Then you need to hunt down a stapler or tape to attach so I guess Disney's to still better.

Our corrected CCs also came in the mail today. Things are looking up.

The replacement fabric for my FE's came too. The first shipment they cut it to short but charged me for the correct amount. Problem is this replacement is not the correct stuff. It has a tag on it that is correct but it is something else. It is so ugly I can't use it but it did give me a good laugh. It says it is the Pilgram Father's Olive clipper ships I ordered but instead it is pink, orange and purple partridges from the start of a 60's movie. Time for plan B. They were very nice when I called Fabrics.com but I told them I didn't think the third time would be the charm and to just cancel the order.

Todd, ya know me......... it all kinda sneeks up on a Captain.........where's the plannin' wenches when ya need 'um........:dance3:

Hmmm...I might be able to tell you where the plannin' wench is....

Noel, is Glenn able to add the Maderia and St Maarten tours to his events data base? I'm thinking of the one separate from the posting on page 2, but the Pirates Sailn' th' Trans-Atlantic site at we are updating with activities we are participating in. Thanks. val

DizzneyDAnn,

To sign up for the room tours, pj breakfast, etc, you first have to register on the www.transatlanticpirates.com website. Once you have registered, you can go to the login page then select 'events' to register for the various events. Please note that if an event says 'Register via xxxx', you must first register through that person before noting it on the events page.

Brethern and Sistern, I have an idea!

Now, don't get frightened. I admit, it's in a strange place, but it's not dangerous, and might even be fun.

I propose that we first nominate, and then vote for a Friend of Tinkerbelle! This would be a person (or potentially a couple) who have spread the most pixie dust among the guests on the Magic before and during the WBTA. There are several candidates from among our number, but first let me explain my thought:
...
Whom would you wish to honor?

I nominate su_kraft :cheer2: :woohoo: as a Friend of Tinkerbelle, for all her tireless work on all of our behalves!

Any other norminations?

See You Real Soon! :flower3:
Richard

So, I will preface this by saying that I am pages and pages behind as my "day job" is getting in the way of my "night job" (reading on DIS). I am not sure where this has gone, so, my appologies for going over what has been hashed and rehashed I am certain...

First, while I am deeply flattered, I am also a bit embarrassed by this. When I joined on to this thread just under a year ago, I did so with the hopes of connecting with others that were Disney lovers as well as just "good people". I have 'met' both, and am so looking forward to the in person meetings that we will share in the near future. That said, I volunteered to organize things because at the time this all started happening (way before the talk of Spanx and packing) I had time to burn, and I like to do this. Additionally as I have mentioned to some, I am in a situation with my mom where I am better off being over busy so I don't dwell on that. Oh, and I really an enjoying of all of this! Yes, I guess I have a bit of OCD... (From part 2, I think... Hi my name is Sue and I am a DIS addict. My DISorder is planning...)

I hope that I have been able to help with things that will make somebodies vacation more enjoyable, more memorable and more fun! I know that you all have made mine all of this and we haven't even sailed yet. So, if I have helped you to be able to relax, focus on work, take care of your family, or find time to shop on EBay dso you have more dresses to wear, then that is all the pixie dust I need!

See you all in just over 3 weeks!!

 Sue

Check out my signature below!!! v v v Goofy is near the end of my ticker!! That's so awesome!!! :woohoo: :yay: :cheer2: :thumbsup2 No....I'm not excited. :rotfl:
