Please post pictures!

.

Off topic, but DH and I are planning on buying a class C motorhome next year. We want to drive to California, Utah, Arizona, Montana (taking a month+ - it's about 5000+ kms each way). We also want to return to the Canadian East Coast again (about 5000km return), and back down to DW (about 5000km return also). So with 3 big trips planned in the next 6 years, as well as our love for camping locally, we are thinking it would be a great thing for us. I can't imagine taking the huge drive to California in our minivan - my ears and um, butt, (or nose, really!) couldn't take 5 or 6 of us in a van for that long, even if we took it slow. It is a dream to show my kids the lower 48 plus the Canadian provinces - all of them. We have done about 12 US states so far by road, and 4 Canadian provinces. If you can't torture kids with roadtrips when they are young, everyone loses out!
Anyone out there have a class C?

We have a 36' Class A but before this one, we had a Class C. We wanted to start "small" (and inexpensive!) to see if we would really like it before going all in. We'd be happy to join you for a cup of coffee - or a DOD - to discuss the ins and outs. We've done Florida to California to Montana and back, Florida to Iowa to Pennsylvania and back, and lots of shorter trips with kids :scared1:; we can discuss that aspect, too!

BTW, we bought Robin Williams' "RV" movie to take on our inaugural trip - hilarious - and we've seen most of the things in that movie come true (ourselves or others) since then! Hint: sewer hose :rotfl2:

I was wondering if any of the guys are dressing special for villians night. I'm trying to get Bob to bring his Jafar costume, he wore it one halloween when he taught high school science. He says no one else will be wearing one so he isn't either. val

Here I am in my Cruella De Ville outfit on the Baltics....I was the only cruise guest that wore a villains costume. I made quite a hit! I'd do it again if I had company!

I am the one on theright!

Just ask for Mombusso onboard the Magic....she knows those pink feathers from the Champagne Girls very well. haha. She coordinated our event onboard. Housekeeping did a great job of cleaning them up too as soon as we were out of there. You don't have to do it Connie.

Oh, and Shawn from Palo was our Sommelier and he is VERY familiar with our pink feathers too....hahaha.

OH DEAR! Your reputation is killing me! I LOVEthe BOAS! I will bring my sticky cleanup roller!

I don't envy you all the really high temps but its just a few degrees above freezing here and cold and overcast - please send some warmth!

LOL thats exactly what I thought when I saw the pics :rotfl:

Most of the dresses looked like the should be for the "Pimp and Hoe Night" and since Disney wasn't doing THAT night I went for the bridal shop!

Annie:rolleyes1

Ooo now I am sure I could probably come up with a great outfit for that! I'd prefer that to a formal night! :rotfl2:

For those interesting in watching the Atlantic for potential hurricane activity, here's a really helpful radar satellite view of the tropical Atlantic off of Africa, which is where (I think) most hurricanes originate:

http://www.weather.com/maps/news/atl..._animated.html

I watched this site last year during the hurricane season :surfweb:, and what seemed to happen at the height of the season is that storms (possibly thunderstorms) would boil up over west Africa, and coming rolling out into the Atlantic near the Equator. From there, I would guess some of them will grow into hurricanes. Accordingly, you might want to bookmark this site and check from time-to-time. I have it programmed into my Mac widgets.

This is purely out of interest. Disney is not going to risk the safety of their passengers or their ship in a hurricane. If necessary, they will re-route around them. :cool2:

Not a chance Mandy.....that would be far too technical for me :rotfl: Just need to decide which to wear when and which to save for Victoria & Alberts.

Oh i'm booked for V&A the Monday after the cruise.

Can't wait i've heard so many good things about it. We normally eat at a table service every night while in WDW but this time decided to eat a little more on the fly.

As we'd have just finished the cruise with table service most evenings and EPCOT hosting the Food and Wine.

I came across a fun song on itunes to make us smile and get ready for the cruise...it's a little tropical, but still a fun song for this cruise, espcially for the Caribbean half!

"Where The Boat Leaves From" by Zac Brown Band

Some of the lyrics:

There's a place, where he boat leaves from
It's takes away all your big problems
You got worries you can drop in the blue ocean
But you gotta get away to where the boat leaves from

THANK YOU....I LOVE this. I set it as my ring tone for my phone. It just makes me so happy.

We would dress in costumes if other people would. If we were the only ones it would be worse then Noel's story of being formal at a BQ. I'm trying to find the picture of him as Jafar, it was great, scared the kid in the high school and my mom didn't even thoug it was him. val

The fochars, meet the parents,Still cant mind the name, it had gay in it, Gaylord Palms !!!

Looks like you all will need to turn on the fans soon. :rolleyes1:lmao:

We have a class A, but would love to talk to you about RVing across country! :lovestruc We took our first trip in winter 2008/2009 and went to 23 states over a 5 month journey. You will have a wonderful time!!! Our nephew and his family just stopped by our house for a couple of days in a class C that sounds just like what you are looking at. They loved traveling in it - 2 kids and a dog onboard. Plenty of room and not difficult to drive and find a place to park (unlike our 37 foot class A!) We parked them in our drive for 2 nights, plugged in their electric. We learned LOTS of things on our journey that we would love to share - money saving tips, etc. We should get together over a cup of coffee on the cruise and talk. We planned another trip this summer to cover the northern states, but....life got in the way. So, hopefully next spring/summer we will be on the road again.

This sounds just like the one our nephew was in. Very, very nice with everything you will need to be comfortable and safe. :thumbsup2

What was that film? the hilarious one with the motor home, like the hotel in orlando? my brains frazzled.

Yep, RV with Robin Williams! Very funny movie. We bought it and watched it in our RV (parked at our house) just after we bought the RV. The one they used was made by the same company that made ours....same seatbelt issue. :rotfl:

I've seen that one, too, Lynn. I'm not sure who I related more to! I loved the Robert DeNiro character 'breastfeeding' scene. I thought that was hilarious.

I would love to soak up your knowledge! Thanks for the offer. I *have* seen RV and I'm *certain* we won't have any of those things happen to us (LOL!) We have a tent trailer now and have had our share of things to laugh at over the years.

Thanks - I would love that cup of coffee too! I'm hoping that we can visit friends and family and boondock in their driveways, too. That particular model we are looking at seems to be popular with families (slide-out bunks, queen 'bedroom', lots of room up front). I'm making my mom come with us to for multigenerational torture.

This isn't my picture but was the best one from the EBTA

WOW! Hope that its a bit calmer when we are aboard...

So, I have been skimming the pages a bit (still having headaches post dentist) and I meant to join in earlier but forgot, so... Can I be a Champaign Girl too? Or am I too late?

Formal arrived today and it fits perfectly. I went ahead and put the crinoline in a space bag and it too will make the trip. I also ordered a dress for Becca - $9 off of ebay - it has shipped - I hope that it is as nice as it appears to be.

Camp in winding down here, school starts in 3 weeks. Stephen is gone agaon this next week, so I should be able to use his room to get some more stuff packed for the trip. Once he is back we will do back to school shopping and then I will have all of his clothes for the trip.

I think I am in track, but things have been so hectic here, it is hard to tell from day to day... I will be happy when we get under 30 days and I can really pack and be done!
