WARNING This is oing to be the longest post EVER, I am so behind, just caught up and I'm sure I've marked about 100 posts to reply to, Here we go.....

A non-DIS friend of mine did her last one on shutterfly. It wasn't as detailed as CM, but I think she is on a MAC as well.

I looked at Shutterfly, doesn't have the Disney stuff like CM. May just have to do the CM one on DH's laptop, it's a PC.

No assistant... You can be an APPRENTICE!!

I like it!

Are the Caramello Koala's what you sent Becca or Stephen? OMG!!! YUMMY!!

I sent some Milky Ways (the white ones) and mixed Freddo's and Caramello Koala's. So yes!

Im off to try and figure out VAT and what it means to me... I may be daft at times, but if I am reading right we shop at certain stores for certain items (can't get a good list) and get forms and a check from the store. Then we fill out more forms and take the checks to the customs office at the port, and then send it all - checks included - back to somewhere - and then we wait for up to 4 months for a check that we can cash.

Surely I must be missing something, right? With all that work, I might just kiss the 16% goodbye.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think you have to spend over a certain amount to qualify? Try this - http://customs.hmrc.gov.uk/channels...ntent&id=HMCE_CL_000141&propertyType=document

OK .... have you tried Thorntons choccies Woody. I am assuming you don't get these in USA / Australia / NZ / mainland Europe. I want to give you something you haven't had before !!!

Nope, we don't have them, Hmmmmm interesting.....

I lose no weight doing this and get REALLY constipated. I know, way too much information.

Same!

I have been reading - they are working on the CM Storybook Creator for MAC - so it is coming - still trying to find out when! And I do know I read somewhere if you have certain things on your MAC you can run it - but I do not understand it all and am still looking for the info.

Great, will be looking forward to it. The photobooks you can order on iPhoto through Apple are quite nice, but I love all the Disney themed stuff with CM. I also read that you can make it work, but I'm not very technically minded.

Can't you get a Windows emulator for the Mac. If I'm not mistaken the latest versions of the Mac OS will run Windows programs, too.

Even so, Memory Manager and StoryBook Creator are only supported in USA, Canada, and Mexico. You can use it elsewhere, you just can't get official CM support.

What language are you speaking, I can't find a translation anywhere...:rotfl2:

There is a CM Australia site where I can purchase the package, I'm sure it would come with support, well....you'd hope so!

We have done the dining plan before and enjoyed it, even though there
is too much food. They have taken the starter off now, which is a bit less
food.
We also know, that we will have credits left at the end, that we wont
use up.
Some of our table service meals will be used on breakfast, which will free up some evenings to eat offsite, which we like doing too.

They have taken the starter off, but the dessert is there, and that is the real killer!

Scaring myself a bit silly right now.:scared1: Watching a programme(recorded) on the building of the Queen Mary2 and all the extra difficult things they did in the design etc to be able to cross the Atlantic safely. Things like rogue waves are very real so they built the hull with extra thick steel, and put an extra wave barrier to push the wave back off the front so it wouldn't damage it!!! Plus wave heights have got higher as hurricanes have got bigger, and I don't want to know!!!

I'm hoping the more southern route we take might be less of a problem.

I think I saw some of that doco, is that the one where they opened the ship to the workers families for a day and the gangway fell and injured or killed someone? :sad2:

I know one Sept, DD and I were doing a 4 day cruise. A hurricane came through - I think it was Ike?? Anyway I was convinced our cruise would be cancelled, however it went ahead and the ship sailed around it. We swapped our sea day and that was it - a perfect cruise

We were at WDW in September 2008 and it was Hurricane Ike that came through, didn't affect us though, just lots of rain.....I remember sending DH into the Emporium on Main St at MK to buy new clothes for the girls and I while we squeezed our clothes out in the bathrooms, :lmao:

There have been a couple of medical "emergencies" around me this week.

On a happier note!!.... I've been busy working on cruise stuff.

In a couple of hours, I'm heading out to go visit Grandmother for a few days and hopefully see mom.

Gosh, you have had a stressful week, Hope everyones health improves soon. :flower3:
Have fun doing your cruise stuff and visiting your Grandmother and Mom.

OK well my facebook friends have all gone nuts! I found a competition to win a gorgeous designer ring that also happened to be an engagement ring. I'm not getting engaged but the ring is fab! So to enter you had to post a photo of the ring you like from the 10 they have on their site - all of which are nice - and say that "I changed my profile picture to my favorite Panacea Diamonds engagement ring and now I am one step closer to winning a Panacea Engagement ring!" Well now the entire world wants to know if Im engaged - including my sister! Honestly people jumping to conclusions!
:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Somebody get me off of Ebay .... I just bought another 2 dresses

GO SARAH!!! See...your not totally useless while your hand healing! :dance3:

I could wear my plastic one wtih the pink fake diamonds and pink furry detail!

Sounds very classy! :upsidedow

But my feelings PLUS octupus Paul were right AGAIN. Isn't that animal amazing?
Have you heard of him?
Paul is unbelievable, Very cool!!! :thumbsup2

We practically plan our days at WDW around our meals :lmao: and yes, I make our restaurant ressies 6 months out. The last several times we've done WDW we've gotten the DDP. Everyone is different, but it's worth it to us. We use our snack credits to pick up fruit salads and eat them for breakfast the next day. There is no earthly way I could have done the DDP when it included the appetizer, though! I just wish they'd let you choose between appetizer and dessert.

We have made 12 days worth of ADR's for after the cruise, including one of my favourites, Spirit of Aloha and the kids favourite Cinderella's royal table! :goodvibes

our 2 tiarria's and my formal dress are now packed in their packing cube and in a suitecase!

Krisann
Oh, I love those packing cubes, I haven't been able to find them here anywhere. I ended up buying mesh laundry bags (like you put lingerie into) in various sizes, they work well.

As I am starting to pack my suitcases I am reminded once again to make a list of EVERYTHING you put into the suitcase. If a suitcase goes missing you need this to know what is missing and get replacement - we thought we remembered everything but when the missing bag actually arrived - we had forgotten many things!

Just an FYI with all the talk of lists

Krisann

Great Tip, will definitely do that!

Just wear it on the flight.

Woody
:lmao:

I have to share this. Dh has been home schooling the grandkids. However, he is very unorthdoxed. Now his degrees are in physicis so that may explain his approach. He has taught them their numbers and colors (before the age of 2) with the pool balls. He has them sit in the middle of the pool table (billards table) and they roll them back and forth to each other by color, number ect. Really, why couldn't he just use the library of books we have?

I love his teaching methods! DD has a comprehension and processing disorder and learns well visually. She goes to school with her peers and still is an average student, but finds it easier to learn things with visual cues. I think your DH is doing a great job. Good on him!!!

We are in three groups and are taking 3 different types of chocolate bars. Moro, Moro Gold and Pinkys (for anyone interested ;) ) - hope I got that right - I did dither over it a little.

YAY, Pinky's are soooooo good!!! :cool1:

Only 2 cases ( 20kg each ) . Will be wearing some outfits more than once and using laundry. I am also choosing lightweight dresses.

We only have 1 suitcase each!!! :scared1: We could take 2, but we are taking 1 inside the other so we have empty ones to fill with shopping in USA!!!:thumbsup2

Well they make some funny noises. The big one on his own is the male, and the other 3 are females ( they are kept separate because at one time they had 11 guinea pigs )

That male one is massive, it's like a cat!

Not really .... I only have:

1 formal dress ( which is a bit tight )
1 semi formal / Palo dress
3 cruise casual dresses ( 1 maxi / 2 cocktail length )

Still need:

2nd formal dress
1 villains themed dress
probably at least 1 more cruise casual dress.

Thats not too OTT is it?

No way, not even close to OTT, I would take a new outfit for everyday if I could...seriously, stupid luggage allowances!

Then the shoes, handbags and do you need any special undies to go with any of them?

Hahahahaha, back to the undies, Didn't you start it last time.....:rolleyes1

Hi new to this thread. Doing b2b, Med and WBTA and then 3 weeks at AKL, all this to celebrate hubby's 60th. Spent all weekend just reading part 7. Nice to be part of one big happy Disney family. Although we now live in Perth, Australia, originally from London, Hubby from West Brom, and yes we adore Thorntons Chocolate. Hoping to pick up some whilst we pass through Heathrow Duty Free. Hope to meet you all soon.

Welcome, Adopted Aussies, we need the numbers! There are 4 or 5 of us now, and some kiwi's, Don't worry, they seem OK, you can never be too sure though.....:lmao:
We are from the Gold Coast in QLD (1 hour from Brisbane). There will be me, Hayley, DH, Terry and 2 DD's, Lucy and Bella travelling.

More Aussie Cruisers! Welcome! we are rapidly taking over the ship, i think there's five of us now (and one Kiwi even, but we like to include them as almost Aussie so they don't feel left out)
:rotfl2:

Will be purchasing lots of new undies for the cruise, but I don't want to be accused of bringing THAT topic up again do I :rolleyes1 .... actually it was you who brought it up ;) Shoes will be an issue, but I am trying to co-ordinate, and I don't do handbags on the ship, just carry cameras etc.

I thought it was Paula last time, with hher throw away undies on her packing list........
OMG, hadn't considered handbags, they just will not fit, do you think I could wear 7 on the plane? :rotfl:

That male one is massive, it's like a cat!

The left hand is very good at pressing that "BID NOW" button :rolleyes1

We are taking 2 cases between 2 of us .... but it may be a sort of 70:30 ratio on whose clothes are in there ;)

And the piggie isn't that big ... I think it's the perspective of the photo ... he's no way as big as a cat :rotfl2:

The jewellery is lovely, is it expensive ?

The full set should have been $200, but I had a $50 gift certificate and she has a reward scheme and I had $100 worth of reward vouchers so it actually cost me $50, which is an absolute bargain.

Corinna

A great bargain Corinna, and so very beautiful.

Of course ... didn't you know, all of Thorntons products are completely fat free :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: and speaking of delicious choccies ... has anyone tried Hotel Chocolat stuff ....:love:

For any LATE DINING LINKERS ..... my mailbox has been cleared. YOu can always email SarahTony2002@hotmail.co.uk if it is full.

I heard a radio advertisement for a store called The Scottish Shoppe and they said they carried Thornton chocolates. I often go there for Mark's and Spencer tea. I'll look for the Thornton chocolates and do the taste testing to check them out. ;) Tru

Good morning everyone :goodvibes

After watching Titanic last evening one of my first jobs when I get in my cabin will be to work out the fastest route to the lifeboats :scared1::scared1:

I am hopefully getting by new computer today which will mean I can stop having to use DS's laptop, and more importantly I can start looking at making some door magnets. :woohoo:

Thought I would share some photos of some cute friends we have staying with us at the moment while their family is in Florida:

I love piggies - at one time we had 13, you do learn to seperate the boys and girls quickly though!
The vet was sick to death of me, as we don`t have a garden, whenever one died I took them there so they could dispose of the body. Not that they liked to die - I thought they were going to live forever. As far as DD is concerned and for all the interest she took in them, she probably thinks they are still going strong.
DD graduates on Wednesday so today I thought I`d check arrangements - we have tickets for the wrong day :scared1: So now we have emergency seating, on benches behind the stage, probably behind a screen and a curtain for good measure  Isn`t it great - all that time, effort and expense and this is what it comes to

Welcome. When are you flying into Barcelona? Buckeye Girl is has a couple spread sheets with hotels we are all staying at as well as our flight info. A nice chance to possibly meet before you get onboard. Speaking of onboard, there are quite a few activities planned if you want to join in.

As if I do not have enough to do. I have been brow beat by my brother to come to Rochester area on Labor Day weekend for the hot air balloon festivel in Dansville and to see his new shanty. Now I need to think about packing for that. At least their will be no formal wear required.:rotfl2:

Wanted to share the Walmart has individual laundry detergent. In case you do not want to use the sheets. Only problem is it was liquid. I think we will stay with the sheets.

Formal wear. I have decided to pack my black skirt and bring two different tops. Anyone else doing this?

Dsis and I researched about dressing up as a villian. I thought the easiest was Cruella. We could use the same black dress as semi formal night and would only have to bring red gloves, shoes, wig and wrap. She wants to do something else. I also suggested we go as Ursala (after all we are already built for it). She was not interested in wrapping herself in spandex. I told her the only other evil character I can think of is winnie the pooh (her favorite character or obsession as our family likes to refer to him as). He is a theif, he steals honey. She was so disgusted with me. :rotfl2::rotfl2: She decided to search on her own. I was just trying to help...geesh;) :rolleyes1

I finally went to bed at 430am. Made myself as I had to be up at 630 for work. Not sure how long I slept, but I can tell you I am tired and getting slap happy. Note to self...no more diet coke with caffene. I have a ton of things to get done today that I need the caffene. Maybe I could go to starbucks drive through and have it administered through an IV.:woohoo:

I need to get ready for my noon team conference. :scared1: Focus, focus:upsidedow

Shall we not bother .... :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

well, you never know Sarah.....:lmao:

That's really good value Corinna! Mark's mum makes jewellery too, maybe I should get her to make me some pieces......

Bet you love them! They used to make the most amazing 'nest' of nougat, covered in chocolate and filled with individual chocolates......we used to buy one for my Grandmother on her Birthday every year, bless her.

We always had piggies when I was a child (had 7 at one time :rolleyes1) and Becky's had a few too, but lost interest when she 'found' ponies!:sad2:

Hope you have a fantastic day on Wednesday .......wherever you sit!:thumbsup2 It must be a wonderful feeling watching your dd graduate, especially as I know it hasn't been easy, like my own dd's Uni life  Congratulations to you all! I'm still not so sure Becky will get there, but I shall keep everything crossed....

Love your villain ideas......an just see myself as Ursula too, but not sure I could manage to pack all the tentacles................:rotfl2:

Oh, and the idea of intravenous Starbucks is so very tempting.......:rolleyes1

:littleangel:

A woman dressed up as Ursula on our Halloween cruise ... she had big padded tentacles. I don't think it would work with our luggage restrictions ... she looked great though:

DisneyCruiseandWDW2008089.jpg

My computer chaps haven't turned up yet which is a bit annoying as I have stayed in all day, and I am now munching grapes as I am tortured by thoughts of food. I hate the first day of a diet.

Its a nice chocolate shop in the UK. They do very good chocolate including my favourite Lemon Swirl bar, which is white chocolate over a lemon mousse with a milk chocolate base and milk chocolate swirls!

Those sounds soooo yummy!!!! Are you brining those???

We picked up our See's candy today! The problem I'm having is how much to buy? Am I supposed to buy one for every person in the room or just one per cabin? Or does it matter? It hardly seems fair that possibly a cabin of four would have to share one snack size bar!! :rotfl:

That is a fantastic costume! :worship:

How annoying about the computer guys...I hate waiting in for people don't you?

Better grapes than chocs though Sarah! :thumbsup2 I've been ok today so far, and have been swimming too...just have to keep it up now though......:rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

I suppose .... it's a nightmare working out what to have for dinner though ... anyone got any nice low-fat diety ideas for meals. I will end up with BBQ chicken and couscous and veg. I intend to go for a fast walk later.

Hi, Albert!! We are so looking forward to seeing you and Ann again!

Hi Angie,

Looking forward to cookies and hot chocolate in Cove Cafe!

Our travelling bears, Jack & Wellington, have made their own travel arrangements and we expect to catch up with them in Barcelona.
