Not just the Spanish Main, luv. The entire ocean. The entire wo'ld. Wherever we want to go, we'll go. That's what a ship is, you know. It's not just a keel and a hull and a deck and sails, that's what a ship needs but what a ship is... what the Black Pearl really is... is Freedom

Happy Fourth of July mates !!

TAKE WHAT YOU CAN !!!

pirate:

Ah Captain I just thought .... is it Pirates and Princess cruise. Us who are a Princess maybe feeling a little neglected. So we need a princess saying to get ready for our ball. What ya say Captain. :)

Don't worry, I told everyone I saw that I couldn't possibly speak to them unless they gave me a puppy! I don't think I am going to wear it this time.....I was so lonely being the only cruiser dressed as a villain!

BUT I might wear it to Not so Scary Mickey Mouse Halloween Party this year.:lmao::lmao::lmao:

I hope you do wear the costume as I am thinking of going as Madame Medusa from the Rescuers!!

I am still hoping to get an accessible room with a verandah!

Were you able to get an accessible room. Cause I had a real hassle getting one.

They ended up moving us from a cat 11 to 8. Cause they messed up our reservation. Good luck in getting that verandah. :wizard:

I'm home sick from work with a cold so forgive me if this makes no sense, I feel like I have cotton wool in my head.

Thanks Connie :thumbsup2
They sound like our British magpies....black and white and members of the crow family? (I think) They're largish and aggressive so they sound very similar!

I made a mistake, the Australian magpie is the butcher bird family, European is the crow family - completely different family and genus. We have major issues here in spring when many people are actively attacked to the point of bleeding.

They measure about the same length but the European magpie is about 50% tail so in terms of body mass the Australian one is much larger.

The picture is of a male white backed, we typically have the white backed here in NZ.

Thank you!

Ill add the Topsiders meal to the navigator anyway as you never know people might decide to skip the formal for a group meal!

Any consensus on a time?

Thanks Woody - I was thinking the show was at 6:00 but I would rather wait to see if it is something we want to see or not. Maybe we can do dinner at 6:30! If everybody wants to wait with a time that is fine with me too.;)

I think if we did it at 6.30pm then those that wanted to could turn up at 6.15pm so we can get a table or tables for everyone? Then everyone could go and see the show if desired at 8.30pm.

I hope you feel better. I love the 6:15 idea and go to the later show! Perfect - let's put it in the Navigator! Topsiders will never be the same!:rotfl2:

I hate that feeling, like you've got fluff in place of your brain. Hope you feel better soon. :flower3:

They are very striking-looking birds, though.

Sounds like a plan to me! :yay:

Oh, please wear it!!

I think lightweight and easy to pack is the key definitely ... I have seen some nice dresses in shops but if they feel heavy on the hanger when I hold them up then I put them back.
I'm the same, but it is usually the heavy ones that look the best, and have the strength to hold all the floppy bits in! :lmao:

So much of my evening wear is GAUZE! Lightweight and the wrinkles don't really show! :woohoo:

Haven't seen much here in that fabric, will start the hunt! ;)

Yep that would be right!

Thanks Sarah, Yeah, I can book today!!!!:banana::banana:

I can't wait for this cruise either. I'm going to go shopping today. Going to pick up magnetic paper and maybe look at a really lightweight piece of luggage. A new swimsuit. New Crocs to break in.

Have fun shopping! I just bought new crocs and am breaking them in, they are the comfiest pair I have had so far, more comfy than the the bug bulky ones!

Now, just need to stay up until 12:01 to make reservations tonight. Am I the only first-time cruiser doing this?

Nope, first time cruiser here! But I am from Australia and I will be booking at 2pm my time. ;)

I haven't started the whole packing process yet so I have no idea :scared1: but I've been threatened that it can't be as many pairs as I took on the EBPC. Doesn't seem fair since I was only on board 15 nights then and I've got 24 nights this time. But going from having a cabin to yourself to having a roommate does make a difference, I guess. I just don't see how 19 pairs of shoes was excessive though!! :rolleyes1

19 pairs is perfectly acceptable, I can tell we're going to be great friends! :goodvibes

I think it was Hayley from Australia that said she would also have some Aussie mags. I could be wrong - we were excited that we could swap because she didn't get any of mine.
It was me! :yay: I am going to stuff as many in as my luggage will allow!

Well.....you remember what Woody suggested....
Maybe I should play music to remind DH.....

I am getting really excited .... I have just won 3 dresses on Ebay

Photo's?

I was the only cruise passenger that dressed up in a villain's costume on the Baltic! just click on photo to increase size. Connie

Love it, you look fab! :thumbsup2

Oh, Yes, ANYONE can dress as their favorite villain.......I would do it again if I wasn't the only one! I had so much fun,and the looks on the faces of everyone was wonderful!

Is the villain night also the night they do a masquerade theme? With masks? I think I read abt that somewhere.

And do u.remember was an icon? Like a logo.4.the.show? I am seriously considering making tux vests & ties 2 wear that night. After our last cruise we made custom vests that have the golden mickey icon all over them...then they cancelled the show!!

Love the crocs but can't wear crocs with backs!! My feet are in between their sizes.

Easy time to book!!

In the "olden" days, I had one bag of just shoes....

Can't wait to see all the villain costume ideas people bring!! Doesn't weigh much if your are somewhat creative!!

Ah Captain I just thought .... is it Pirates and Princess cruise. Us who are a Princess maybe feeling a little neglected. So we need a princess saying to get ready for our ball. What ya say Captain. :)

Aye , I didnt think Princesses yelled out to each other , that would be unlady like now wouldnt it .... Maybe a special curtsey or something more Princess like ...or even like a princess wave :lmao::lmao:

But of course us Pirates stick to the code.... savvy , even though there more like guidelines ...LOL :rotfl::rotfl:

Hi everyone.....just popping in to let you know that my DD and the rest of the mission team just landed in Samara, Russia after 26+ hours of traveling. They had a couple delayed flights which added to the long travel time. It is 5:30am there right now. I hope that they have been able to sleep and can get a little rest today before they start their work with the children at the camp. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers. They will return home on July 16.
