Wow... it sounds like you guys aren't having any fun booking... :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Sorry I have to laugh... cause I went through it with the PC repo'ers in '08 when we were online for about 5-6 hours and all we saw was.... :fish::fish::fish::fish::fish: :scared1::rolleyes1:scared1::rolleyes1:scared1:

Relax... you will get in.. maybe not online... but at the port... it all worked out for us...

Hi Guys!!! :wave2: (just thought I should come over and start chatting just in case I get to join you all...:goodvibes)

Keep praying Angie... I need you... really... :flower3:

I was up trying to get my mom's reservations: I think Disney is terrible, I really do. No tea, no brunch, and the only reservations for dinner were the first night and Tortola. With all those sea days surely there should be enough spots for people to go to brunch and tea. And to not get one of the two I could understand, but both? It really leaves those people hoping for some kid-free dining time with a bad taste in their mouths.

I got so mad I canceled all my excursions with them except one. I was considering doing all the ports on our own (except one) anyways, and this just sealed the deal. I usually like Disney customer service but with the Palo thing they have their customer service in their boots.

I hope others did better!

I know your frustration. I know release very few Palo reservation before hand. On the EBPC They was no reaservations for Palo before hand and on the second or third day of the cruise I contacted Palo about open spots. They had Brunch, Tea, and dinner available every day. I'm not too worried about no have Palo brunch resevation yet.

I feel so badly for all of you who are trying to book tonight and can't! That really stinks! :( Next year, we're going on an Alaska Disney Cruise with my DMIL (MagicMe) and my parents and twin sister. It will be my parents and sister's first Disney Cruise so I'm worried about excursions because they won't be able to book the same day we can. (This is just one of the silly things I stress about...I stress out about a lot of things - lately it's mostly about finding a job...)

Anyway, we had a great Fourth of July! After sleeping REALLY late, we relaxed and watched "Fred Claus" before heading up to Allentown with my DMIL for a picnic at my parent's house. My family has never cared to eat outside and it is REALLY hot around here right now, so we grilled the food outside but ate inside in the A/C! It was perfect!

DH has off tomorrow so I'm looking forward to spending the day with him. I doubt we'll go anything special, but at least it will be relaxing! :)

Welcome aboard to any new folk.

Need to move a little now as my rear end has gone numb!

Thank you and if you were over on the other thread... I'd offer to massage it for you... :rotfl2:

I was the only cruise passenger that dressed up in a villain's costume on the Baltic! just click on photo to increase size. Connie

LOVE IT!!!

Oh, Yes, ANYONE can dress as their favorite villain.......I would do it again if I wasn't the only one! I had so much fun,and the looks on the faces of everyone was wonderful!

I can only imagine what Ian would have come up with...

I hope you do wear the costume as I am thinking of going as Madame Medusa from the Rescuers!!

madam-medusa-web.jpg

Ok... so that's me without a bra... :scared1:

The Fourth of July concert was really nice. They always play "The Armed Forces Salute" It is the theme songs for the five armed forces here in the US. I always love that song because it is awe inspiring to see the men and women stand up when their branch of service song is played. What I noticed tonight however was there was not a lot of folks who stood up. I hope that was just because some folks did not attend. There was about 300 folks that attended the concert.

I still have 20 more pages to catch up on, but I must get to bed!

Welcome to the newbies and welcome back to those who were fortunate to get back on-board!! Bev, I hope that all goes well and thumbs will be up for your travels by September!

Although I know Palo Brunch was a flop tonight (I checked myself), I hope that all the new DCL cruisers got what they wanted with excursions! It's so exciting to know that we are all at the point that we have been able to get on-line and book stuff!! :dance3:

Congrats to Becca for her new, cooler freedom with her arm! Stephen, you're next to get that healed!

I saw some chatter about tiaras. Kimmy talked me into "wanting" one. ;) So when mom and I went shopping Friday, I tried one on with the new dress I have on order, and loved it! Of course I wasn't going to spend $130 on one, so I'll be checking out eBay for one I like just as well for a fraction of the cost. :) So yes, I do have a second formal now. Bad news is this may solidify the need for a 3rd piece of luggage. The good news is that if I'm doing that, I won't be so restricted with shoes! I'm going to have to have one of those trial-run packing afternoons!

Sorry I am late giving a big Canada Day greeting to our Canadian friends! I have to agree with you that you did an AMAZING job at hosting the Olympics this past winter. :goodvibes

Sandi, I'm so glad that DH's job plan(s) are keeping you all so positive!

I have to agree with Noel that being able to see the Mini-Navigator that gismo1554 Sarah has put so many hours into, even in a draft form, prior to mid August would be helpful, and I'm sure even more-so for those doing the B2B.

Noel, you had me in stitches laughing at the sight of arriving at a bbq party in a tux, formal gown, and fur. :lmao: The sense of humor that you and your friends had to just roll with it is priceless! For some reason it reminded me of one of the first "Bewitched" episodes (I love that show!) when Darrin's ex-fiance invites Darrin and Samantha over for a party telling them to wear the extreme opposite dressing attire for the party. If I recall correctly, they showed up in under-dressed at a formal cocktail party.

Pam, I hope that you've done okay with your DD departing this weekend for the mission trip in Russia. I'll certainly keep her in my prayers for her safety and for them to accomplish all their goals!

Kimmy, you mentioned the desire to have the B2B cruisers provide their flight and hotel info for Post #2. Anyone desiring to do so can certainly pass it along to me, and I'll filter the B2B'ers into separate lists. All of you desiring to do so, please make sure you mention you're a B2B'er.

....Which activities are reliant on cabin numbers - FE, candy swap, secret Mickey - are there others?....

This may have been mentioned in the 20 pages I have yet to read, but in case they haven't been mentioned (or even irrelevant as you've been talking about the "right" solution), I'll add more groups to the list.

  • Room Tour
  • Scrapbook Embellishment Exchange
  • Postcard Exchange
  • Lanyards
  • Come See Me List

I bought some caramel rice cakes a while back to stop me wanting chocolate needless to say the rice cakes are still in the cupboard and I have managed to eat cakes instead!

Have you tried the Vanilla Creme Brulee ones???
I ate the entire bag before getting home!:rotfl2: And Im bringing some with me... in my carry-on!

Annie:cool2:

So glad you two got to connect. Wish more of us lived closer.

Have been trying since midnight to book Palo brunch, but there hasn't been any availability . :confused3 I just hope we can get one on the ship (and I'm betting I meet some of you in that line, too).

There are more of us here than we realized. I am about 2 hours from you and MDWoodman is around the corner from you.

As for Palo, have no worries there will be once onboard. There are so many sea days that is should not be a problem. It worked for us on the WBRepo and the PCRepo. Worse case scenario they put you on a waitlist and people always cancel.

Not even a whiff of a Palo brunch :sad2: ....... so I'm off back to bed. See you all later

OH, so sorry. No Worries it really will work out. It is Disney and it always does.

I'm from Scotia... just west of Albany... :goodvibes

Wow, small world. When I swore in for the Air Force I did it in Albany. It was 4 hours north of Middletown and my cousin and her husband went to Albany Med (so did my mom). I miss the summers in NY, but not the winters. I definately miss the food.

Check Claires or Icining. They both carry them for a fraction of the cost.

My Dsis loves rice cakes, I joke her about eating cardboard.:lmao: I have tried the mini carmel ones and they are not bad.

I know which villian you would be!

Then you know more than me. I have never really been into the villains, but purple and black seem like villain colours to me.

Is the villain night also the night they do a masquerade theme? With masks? I think I read abt that somewhere.

And do u.remember was an icon? Like a logo.4.the.show? I am seriously considering making tux vests & ties 2 wear that night. After our last cruise we made custom vests that have the golden mickey icon all over them...then they cancelled the show!!

Yes, there was a "masquerade ball" on the night Villains Tonight was shown. Here is the front page from the Navigator for that night. Hopefully that helps you as far as the logo is concerned:

Hi everyone.....just popping in to let you know that my DD and the rest of the mission team just landed in Samara, Russia after 26+ hours of traveling. They had a couple delayed flights which added to the long travel time. It is 5:30am there right now. I hope that they have been able to sleep and can get a little rest today before they start their work with the children at the camp. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers. They will return home on July 16.

Pleased to hear they arrived safely. Hope they have a wonderful experience.

But of course us Pirates stick to the code.... savvy , even though there more like guidelines ...LOL :rotfl::rotfl:

TAKE WHAT YOU CAN!!!

 I've been away from home and the internet since Wednesday afternoon, and I have 44 pages to catch up on!! Here I thought that since the US has a holiday weekend, maybe it would have been slow. :upsidedow So until/if I can get caught up.....

Kimmy and I had a *fabulous* time at our little DIS Meets in Cleveland Wednesday night! :goodvibes OMG...that girl can make you laugh! :rotfl2: It was awesome sharing stories and our excitement for the cruise with one another!!

What a lovely photo .... sounds as though you had a wonderful evening with lots to chat about :thumbsup2

I'm the same, but it is usually the heavy ones that look the best, and have the strength to hold all the floppy bits in! :lmao:

A very good point Hayley. I am hoping that the underwear will do all the holding in ( sorry to lower the tone again :rotfl2: )

Ok, I got in and booked the tour to Virgin Gorda at Tortola, anyone else going?
And Palo dinner on Tortola night, I figure we're not there late so should be OK.
Then it locked my out again??? Whatever!!! :confused3

I didn't think of that, maybe it's time I invest in some spanx! ;)

Then you know more than me. I have never really been into the villains, but purple and black seem like villain colours to me.
Yep, I agree, purple and black for Villians, Orange and black for Halloween! :thumbsup2

Okay Noel, you have talked me into it. I am now curvalicous and VC. It sounds sexier. Even though I am fluffy like Winnie th Pooh.:lmao:

I'm gonna jump on the Curvalicious bandwagon, I don't think I can claim to be VC, not that I am tall, but not VC. Definitely curvalicious though! ;)

It will probably be cheaper to do it yourself, and you get to do what you want to do at your own pace. I think they've done you a favour!
I had problems booking, It wasn't that I was worried about not getting what I wanted as I wasn't too fussed whether I got it or not, it is just so frustrating when you get half way through and it locks you out!

I think my DH is wrapped there is no tea's available! Should have joined the Dis girls! Sue, let me know if a slot opens for me. ;)

Of course to balance that, there is the joy of returning to the DIS fold....

For all my US friends, HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY!!!

Thank you for sharing your photo - you both look great and I can't wait to se you in person!!!

I can't even get in now, I was on, selected my Palo dinner and excursions, didn't confirm them, was selecting my spa stuff and it locked me out, FANTASTIC!!! Stupid Site!!!:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

That is just more than frustrating! I think Disney has the most pathetic websites. I know they have a lot of information on them, and many visitors, but goodness me, other companies manage.

....Well done on getting a second formal dress. What did you decide on in the end?

Corinna

It's not near as elegant as what you ordered, but I think it's very flattering on me and won't take up as much packing room as the one I fell in love with on eBay. :thumbsup2 The one I ended up ordering is black and white and includes a stole. It's not as glitzy as I wanted, but with some clever ideas my mom came up with for the stole to take advantage of the two-tone, adding the tiara, and some bling with jewelry, it's going to look nice. Even the bridal consultant was impressed with the look we pulled together. It's expected in about 4-5 weeks.

Grrrr! Sorry you're having so many challenges with the site. :sad2: On a happier note, I'm with you on the Tour to Virgin Gorda! I cannot wait, especially after seeing and reading the trip report that Noel posted last week. The OP of the TR gave a lot of helpful advice, too.

The dress is gorgeous, very classic. I'm sure it will look devine. :thumbsup2

I am so happy you are on the Virgin Gorda trip too!!! The trip report that Noel posted is what made me want to go, we were just going to go for a walk in Tortola as nothing appealed to us, but her photo's looked amazing. Now we have every port organised, except Castaway Cay where we will see what the weathers like, maybe snorkel?

If you don't have your Mickey Mouse Club T-shirts yet (see Post #1), now's the time to do it! I received another email promoting the Independence Day Sale. You get 17.76% off* your order!!! Remember that Zazzle will ship internationally as well.

DISCOUNT CODE: ZAZZLEUSAUSA

*Offer is valid from July 1, 2010 through July 5, 2010 at 11:59pm PDT.

Thanks!

I'm THRILLED that you guys will be going on that excursion as well. Sounds like we have a few of us DISers with this tour! :

Okay...I STILL haven't gone to bed, and it's 5:06 am!! I've been too busy catching up with various things since I had been away.

TTFN!

And Palo dinner on Tortola night, I figure we're not there late so should be OK.

I have booked dinner for Tortola night too ... but may change it to Lumiere's rotational as I am not a big fan of that menu ( apart from the creme brulee)

Creme brulee, they sound devine! I saw some food porn of the creme brulee on the cruise, I am already drooling!

I tried creme brulee for the first time ever on my last cruise and it was divine ... I now order it everywhere I go if it's on the menu.
