Good morning from a very windy Wales. Today I hope to get started on organising the Secret Mickeys ... so all you participants .... watch your in boxes. It is also my plan to actually win one of the 84 dresses I am watching on Ebay today ... I keep missing out by being off the computer and forgetting about them, or they go for more than I am prepared to pay.

Good Luck with your dresses, we want photo's!!! :goodvibes

I still am up in the air with dresses, I have a formal party here on the 31st July. I will buy something new for that and probably bring that dress. ;)
Then I will have 1 really formal dress, and 1 not as dressy, but easy to pack. I think that's the plan .......:confused3

Happy Fourth of July!!

We went to the dress rehearsal of the Capital Fourth that will be aired on PBS tonight at 8 last night. We have been doing this for 15 years and the crowd has been about half of what it is on the 4th. Well, not last night. I don't know if it is the economy or the fact that it was a beautiful evening, but for the first time since we have been going there were almost as many people as on the 4th. The show was wonderful and if you get a chance tonight you might want to consider watching it. Reba McIntyre was awesome as was Lang Lang. Don't want to give too much away, but it was one of the best shows we have seen in the 15 years we have been going.

Happy 4th July to all my U.S. friends!

Have a lovely day everyone.....what do you all have planned for your day?:flower3:

DD #4 is visiting me in Virginia for a couple of weeks. Yesterday we spent the afternoon at the National Museum of the Marine Corps. Today, we're headed to Colonial Williamsburg for their special Independence Day celebrations and fireworks. Tomorrow we'll be going to King's Dominion for a long, HOT day! King's Dominion is admitting US military for free today and tomorrow, so we're taking advantage of it!

Hope everyone has a safe and fun holiday. :woohoo:

Happy (and SAFE) Fourth of July to all! We saw our towns fireworks last night, and the kids want more so we are heading to Alpharetta to see more this evening.

Are you a gymnastics coach? Both of my daughters are in gymnastics. Haley (7) is in level fun 4 and Bella (6) level 2. They both started when they were 3

Becca is also in gymnastics - has been since she was almost 4. I see many many cartwheels, etc. being done on the ship!

Its saying I don't have permission to see it on that site. Can we have a "comments" column and note things like the books & magazine swap cabins - just in case they shift too.

I will check out the permissions... I thought it was open to anyone with the link - and I know someone other than me could make changes because sort order was different and stuff like that... I will add a comments line, and if desired I can add the pharmacy column as well.

Random thoughts: ;)

Is it just me :confused3 or have some of you printed a deck plan with fellow DISers marked in cabins near you and made a list of names of other DISers from your home state (Oregon for us)?

Thank you all for the multiple pages of posts. My wife and I check all the new posts every night and discuss tips, ideas and other info from this board pirate:.

Have you looked at the google map? Lots of pins in it telling people who lives where!

Youve done it now... Thanking us for posting! Watchout, we shall now feel encouraged to hit part 7 next week... :rotfl2::lmao::rotfl2:

Also - I sent you a PM - need confirmation and cabin info for the FE!!

KrisannB - I started the strawberry group and announced it but no one has sent me a PM as yet... Do you want the spreadsheet for that group? Let me know and PM me your email addy and I will send it to you!!

Just a reminder that the tastings are closing on the 15th so that we can get everyones various groups together and get with DCL to plan and schedule. I think that we have enough so that we can do one tasting on each sea day!! I hope that they will let schedule all of them!! I have personally never seen a DOD tasting - but fingers crossed for that one, and last year they didn't do a Mojito tasting - but had a menu with about 10 variations on it! So, fingers crossed for that one as well.

I think lightweight and easy to pack is the key definitely ... I have seen some nice dresses in shops but if they feel heavy on the hanger when I hold them up then I put them back.

The DCL billboards are following me again. Coming back from King of Prussia I saw another one. It on 422 westbound on the right hand sign enter Exeter township. As bad as it sound , it depress me a little because I want to be there. At least it only 79 days to go.

Nachol1337, the wife and I feel your pain. With us living in the Orlando area we see the Disney Cruise Line all over the place.

We look at each and say, soon real soon.

Sue - I don't know if you want to add the medication list to the list of cabin numbers/people. It will be in the mini-navigator though that Sarah will do.

Which reminds me can I have at least a preview version for the 1st copy of the navigator we're gonna release early August? I don't need it til the end of the month but thought I better mention it.

So much of my evening wear is GAUZE! Lightweight and the wrinkles don't really show! :woohoo:

Curiousity! Dying to know. Also, I will have magazines for people to take from my FE. Remember, the Queen of Magazines! I am sure my arm/elbow will be hurting by the time you see me at the Port, but I am determined to bring them in my carry on.

I think Krisann was doing a similar thing so added you to navigator too!

By the way, a dinner at Topsiders would be wonderful - especially if we have different seating times and don't get a chance to talk. Second formal night anyone?????>:thumbsup2

LOL is this another thing to put in the navigator????!

We are still working a few other details, like communication. We are going to upgrade our cell phone plan to International Texting and I’m looking into Skype (video) to stay in touch with our grandkids. Our grandkids and our daughter live with us, so my wife and I will miss them , as we will be gone for a month (Travel days, Barcelona, Cruise, and Walt Disney World).

I ordered the new IPhone for that very reason. Our grandchildren are here all the time and consider this their "other" home (they live the street behind us and we can see their house from our back deck). DH watches them during the day so their parents can work. So glad he retired.:lmao:

I wear orthotics so don't like to wear flip flops or sandals for any long periods of time (too painful). Thats 3 pairs :)

I do as well, but have been introduced to a suport that alllows me to wear sandals and flip flops/thongs. Let me see if I can post a pix of it. I love them and they are neutral in color

Does anyone think it is worth gettng up at 5am tomorrow ( d-day minus 75) to see if we can book Palo brunch. Are there likely to be more openings available?

No, I think you will not have a problem when you get onboard. There are so many sea days that it was not a roblem when we did the 2007 repo.

Had no idea. Thank you for sharing.

Wish I knew sooner, we could have had a mini Dis meet as you are now entering my neck of the woods.

I am still trying to play catch up but wanted to comment on the list thing before I forget or fall asleep.

I like the idea of having a change sheet at ONE designated door in each group - as it would keep things more simplified to me when delivering items for that group. It would be easy - just assign one cabin in each group as the "GO HERE FIRST" cabin and then when that FE or candy bar group starts to deliver they can see the list if there is any changes within their group.

Just my thoughts . . .

Krisann

This was what I was thinking but the majority prefer the 1 room for changes thing as it saves time for those with changes

I'm up at 6 tomorrow anyway so may just get up and have a quick look before work. I still want to try and get an afternoon tea but its not the be all and end all of it

LOL hey you never know!
If I get upgraded to the Walt Suite, you will hear that whoop all the way back home to the USA.:cool1::cool1::worship::worship::rotfl:

woooooo hooooooo

ONLY 11 WEEKS TO GO UNTIL WE BOARD THE DISNEY MAGIC !!!!!!!!!!

:yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay:
YAY:dance3::dance3::woohoo:

One could live in a palace down there, but you don't need to! Yes, there are enclaves of expats in million-dollar homes but that is so unneccesary for us. We've got a great home at a great rent (4 months rent there = 1 month mortgage here) for a house more than twice the size of what we have now, LOTS of cultural stuff going on every single month, and, if we need to, we can get back to the states easily - or just take the $20 airfare I just found from Guadalajara to Cabo and spend a few days at the beach.....

We're gonna have fun! Life, no matter WHAT they tell you, IS an adventure!
Sounds wonderful.... I'm so happy for you two.:love:

Random thoughts: ;)

I do not do the Tux thing, but I will wear a jacket and tie on formal nights. I was unable to book Palo on one of our formal nights, so my wife and I will have 3 formal nights, unless we decide to go to the buffet.

When I have caught up on reading DIS posts :happytv: , I watch Disney cruise videos on youtube (some people are very talented in editing their videos) and take a walk around Barcelona on Google streetview.

Thank you all for the multiple pages of posts. My wife and I check all the new posts every night and discuss tips, ideas and other info from this board pirate:.

Looking forward to the cruise.

:disrocks:
I (hiding face) don't do the big dress up either. I am so not going to wear a Cinderella ball gown. I will LOVE looking at all the ladies that do. I will admire and take photos. :wizard::wizard: I know Terry will be dressing up. I have a couple of dressy pants suits that I can put on for formal night and Palo. I haven't figured out what I'm going to do.... I just might join the dis meet at Topsideres on the second formal night....:goodvibes

I can't wait for this cruise either. I'm going to go shopping today. Going to pick up magnetic paper and maybe look at a really lightweight piece of luggage. A new swimsuit. New Crocs to break in.
