I think i have found my second formal gown...been on Ebay Hope it will fit! Sourced a Tiara to suit...so am getting done.

Working on the diet and excercise...I have 7lbs left..and some flab...to loose so I can fit formal gown no 1 lol! Now....where can I buy a corset like the one Keira wears in Pirates If I faint...please hide me from public eyes before you cut it open and let it all fall out

Now. A question for crafters. Does any one know where I can find crystal Mickeys, on pins? The type that Disney Brides buy. Some come on pins to insert into their florals...or some are just little flat Mickey crystal motifs that they glue on to their bridal veils etc? Have tried Ebay, but dont seem to be having any luck?

Lucky Lyn to only have 7 pounds to go!! Good luck!! I think you can do that amount of weight before the cruise with a bit of dedication.

As for the pins, maybe check on the Disney Weddings and Honeymoons thread here on the DIS boards.

Drs are very sympathetic NOT, I got told for years that I needed to stop eating and excersie more, (tell me something I dont know) I couldnt even get out of bed I was so tired, yes thats cause youre fat, It took a lovely locum dr to go over all my notes and suggest a change in meds, I never looked back.!

I know! Its stupid! My sister is overweight and for years theyve been blaming that on everything she ever gets. Now they are finally investigating allergies as shes sick when ever she eats tomatoes! Its nuts!

LOL I've heard of it! Guess maybe a Scot/Welsh thing! Just means getting sweaty - the moment you start sweating like. I have the patio open still and its boiling hot! Im loving this weather!

What a great place!! I love places like that have a long LA history. I was born in Pasadena. When I was a little girl, I used to go to the Farmers Market with my Grandmother so she could pick up her weekly meat order. Those were the days when Tusquella's had a meat market there. I still have one of their 1953 calendars.

It was the one with the tree located right in front of the grocery store. Your grandmother may have bought something from my dad.

We always bought fruits and vegetables there. I also like to watch the cake decorating. She would stop at place for coffee that had those glass carafes with the black band on them. She would buy something for us to eat at a small vendor whose name escapes me.

Small world it truly is for all of us. It seems so commercial now but then it was a magical place for a child.

I don't remember any of the produce stands having ice. I think that only the salad bar and the fruit juice bar had fruits on ice. Ours were in baskets set around a large tree and then in rows along the back. I'll look for the postcards from that period of time - they're somewhere in our house.

I worked at the coffee stand with the carafes with the silver bands one summer. They were called hottles. The place was Mannings Coffee. I met my husband, Armando, while working there. Good memories.
