To change the subject, what tours did you get booked for tortola?

I didn't know if you were asking everyone or just mdwoodman but we booked the tour that takes you to the hotel and you have lunch at their restaurant on the beach. I think it is the St. John's tour - like a dummy I didn't write it down and I am on a different computer. Sounds like you are having fun on your vacation.

Abby and I would like to do the tour in St. Maarten on the ATV's if there were more people interested.

Kimberly - your cards are great!

Dee so excited to hear about your DS and DIL. Hope your lip gets fixed:rotfl::rotfl:

TheDisneyGirl02 - good luck dancing tonight. Sounds like you are very excited - let us know how it goes.

I am off to scrapbook this morning. We are meeting our cruise buddies, from the '07 TA, tonight for dinner in Orlando. We are trying to talk them into this cruise.

I was asking mw, but you know me, I love to hear what everybodys doing anyway:upsidedow

Have a great night, its lucky you have cruise buddies near you, we have to fly to meet ours.

Woody our cameras are near identical. My dn (13yoa) shows off by throwing our camera around, so the adverts really are true, but you gotta love the pink:thumbsup2

If my mum and dad has already linked reservations does that mean when I log into my castaway cay account I can book excursions for them without having to log out my reservation and into theres?

Is anyone doing tiaras for formal night? Becca wants one, and I am trying to get her to reuse the one from BBB...

Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Have to work in the morning then off to celebrate. My DGD is having her birthday tomorrow. She is 4 going on 40.:scared1: After that we are having the grandkids over for the night. DH told his son we would watch their 9 yr old and 2 yr old for the night. I told my son I would watch his 13 r old, 4 yr old and 1 yr old for the night. Do you think that DH and I had a conversation prior to the planning. NOPE! Now we have 5 granchildren for the night:scared1:

I am pleased to share that my son has come to his senses and has moved back home. The grandchildren are happier. I realize it takes two and feel certain the DDil has come to her senses as well. Thanks for all the prayers and well wishes and pixie dust. I will now go have stiches put in my lips from biting them when I wanted to speak!:lmao:

that is wonderful news

Leaving for Disneyland in about 6 hours! Can't wait!!! I'm going to see the new World of Color (via the dining package) and Fantasmic (via dessert package). I'm sure there will be about 100 pages when I return home. I hope everyone has a good weekend!!!! :earsboy:

have fun, I'm trying to figure out when I can squeeze in a trip down, I have no more vacation time as its all needed for the cruise, but there's always the weekend!

I hope YOU have a wonderful weekend! It actually sounds like it's going to be a delightful weekend for you. Lots of happiness and love going around! I'm so thrilled to hear that your son's family is back together again! :cloud9:

I'm certain you'll have a fantastic time, Dorothy! I'm very much looking forward to hearing about it. Enjoy!!!

....Since it's now the 12th, it's officially my dance recital day! :yay: This is my 27th year dancing at the same studio. I do a duo with my twin sister...this year we're doing a Broadway jazz routine to "Don't Rain On My Parade" as performed on "Glee"....

Amy, have a fantastic time doing what you love to do most! :dance3:

We are booked on a private tour on the 17th and 18 with pepittour.com We used Jose in 2007 and it was wonderful...PLease share your info when you get it......

There was a response in my email box when I got up this morning. Sadly for me, this is out due to cost. :sad2: I guess because I'm alone, they stated it would be 198EUR :scared1: ....that's more than 3x the per person cost. I thought that it would still be the pp cost as they would add other people to the van. Apparently that assumption is totally wrong.

I'm quoting the email in its entirety so you can pull from it what may be of interest to you. Good luck!!

Dear Kimberly,

Hola! Thank you for contacting us.

My name is Sharon and I am happy to confirm that we can do the Barcelona city tour for you on Sept16th!

If you wish to see what people think of our tours you can read some reviews on the Cruise Critic website- for example: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1046181

For your city tour in Barcelona we can offer you a private tour with:

* Personal pick-up from the airport
* Personal drop-off at the hotel at the end of the tour
* Complete flexibility during the 4 hour tour (start time, length of stay in each place, modification to our suggested itinerary, restaurant visit if wanted, etc)
* Luxurious new minivan with luggage space
* Personal driving-guide - lovely gentleman with good English

The price for this quality trip is only 198 Euros. This price includes your own driving-guide, transportation, petrol, toll roads, parking, and all taxes. The price does not include entry fees which are not needed with the normal itinerary. During the tour we will visit all the highlights of Barcelona (including La Sagrada Familia, Parc Guell, National Palace, and much more!) and you will have time at each of the sites to explore the places and take photos. This is a great way to discover Barcelona and I am sure you will be very happy with your decision to travel with us!

Alternatively, you can take the daily bus group tour that departs from the center of the city (pick-up and drop-off is not included) for 45 Euros per person. If you prefer this option, please let me know and I will email you more information, or visit our website at: http://www.spaindaytours.com/bus-tours.html

If you would like me to hold your reservation can you kindly send me the following please:

* Reservation name (for the sign)

So in my mind I have broken this summer into thirds based on the Magic sailings. First third is the early Barcelona sailings. The second is the Baltic sailings and the final third is the late Barcelona sailings.

I'm so excited because the Magic has arrived in Dover and is beginning the second third of the summer!!

Can't wait - it's going to be September before we know it!!

:thumbsup2 I love your way of thinking!!

Just had a drink with mickey ice cubes in it......lol...it's the little things that please me.....:goodvibes

So true! The little things to bring a smile to your face are awesome!

...Question for the US ladies... Anyone go to Curves? I got a coupon for in intro month - unlimited everything for $25. Just curious about what other think of the place...

I went to them years ago, and I loved it. If you're a serious Liftetime Fitness or Gold's Gym type of person, you likely wouldn't like Curves, however. That's probably what I liked most...was that it WASN'T one of those places!
No one going there put on their makeup to look good for the guys because there are no guys! It was nice to feel I was amongst others who were there just to get their workout in, and you didn't have to feel fit already to go.

You might know this much already, but in case you don't, I'll share. It's a 30 minute circuit workout. You work on one type of machine for 30 seconds, then do cardio for 30 seconds, and continue around the circuit working on other machines with cardio in-between. You go around the circuit a total of three times. There's a couple of stopping points during the 30 minutes where the music stops, and everyone on the circuit takes their pulse to ensure that you're working hard enough or to slow you down if your pulse is too high. The trainers watch you to ensure you're using the equipment property in order to get the best results, and if not, they'll help you. The trainers there also take measurements of you every other week (I think that was the frequency) so you can see your progress.

For $25, I would suggest giving it a try to see if you like it.

After the EBTA, we enjoyed seeing the Magic Fountain of Montjuic.

Woody

Thank you for sharing this! I think I now know what I'll be doing one evening!

....I am off to scrapbook this morning. We are meeting our cruise buddies, from the '07 TA, tonight for dinner in Orlando. We are trying to talk them into this cruise.

Oh how fun! I wish there were DISers I've sailed with in the past or about to sail with close to me! I'm sure you will all have a fabulous time getting back together!

I never do Disney without a tiarra. Seriously, I wear it in the parks and now take a fancier one on cruises.

I organized a "Grown Up Princess" night on the PC cruise and it was a big hit. Some of us went all out on formal night.

So yes, I will be wearing a tiarra on one (or both) of the formal nights

I think the only way to do this tour that would be affordable would be a group of DISers get together and book the tour.

Just my thoughts....

I have to agree with you. Obviously you can take the more public option from this company that "departs from the center of the city", wherever that may be. However, my interest in this was that they would pick you up at the airport, and you get started with your vacation right away. The second best thing about this tour is that it gets you around various parts of town to key tourist destinations with VIP-like front door drop off transportation, which saves lots of time.

Bummer....I was so hopeful about this one for one my first day in town.

I do a duo with my twin sister...this year we're doing a Broadway jazz routine to "Don't Rain On My Parade" as performed on "Glee" (Shocking, I know, me selecting something from Glee!). I used to REALLY be into dancing when I was younger - well, three ACL reconstructions ago! :lmao: I do miss the old days when I didn't have to wear two bulky knee braces, but if it's the only way I can dance, that's what I'll do. We had dress rehersal tonight. Last year we couldn't perform in the recital because I had just had my ACL done in January (it's a 9 month recovery period) so it was WONDERFUL to be back on that stage tonight. When I'm dancing, I forget about the pain of the knee surgeries and I just enjoy being up there and performing. :goodvibes

Have a wonderful time!

What a cute cast. Hopefully Becca arm heals faster then my. I getting to the point I arm my arm broke instead. It been 7 weeks now and if it was broke it would be healed by now. Today I was at the physical therapist and the now think i have tendinitis of the wrist. They gave electronic cortisone patch to help relieve the pain and swelling. It seem to work most of the day but the pain is slowing coming back. I will check you up to date. Well I'm going to bed now.

Stephen

More :grouphug: for you.

I went for a full year some time ago. I enjoyed my time there and was able to get there 3 days per week every week even while working. Getting it done in 30 min was a plus. However, I did not lose any weight and I did not lose any inches. :sad2: I was a bit sad because I was faithful to go 3X every week. But, I did not gain my usual 10 lbs that year either so there you go......

I have to agree with you it would be a great way to start the day in Barcelona but the only way it would be practical is to have 6 persons do it together from either a flight or hotel. I would not be willing to pay that much either. We are looking at a lot of options as DH spent some time in February in Barcelona and has definite ideas of places he wants to visit.

So the 198 EURO is not for the entire van, but per person. It sounds great if it were the entire van. She was not real clear with that, but maybe I am just ditzy!
