That should take care of the walking part. :lmao:

Jon

Oh boy! another walk I can participate in! Sign me up, Jon!! Do you have a spreadsheet for these walks? :cool1:

It is a crazy day here today in TO, crazy winds, cold. But I got a new dress for the cruise, and it was on sale! I am making DM a roast beef dinner.

Pj

Good job! I love a good sale! I need to try on my "little" :rotfl: black dress. I have lost 20 lbs since last wearing it so it should still be good even to the end of the cruise! ;)

Thanks to those who have asked to be my friend on facebook! I am really feeling weird and out of the loop on this cruise as the last two long cruises I have been on the board since day 1 of booking and I feel like I am coming into this so late in the game and out of the loop - there are a few I already know and that is really nice! I hope to continue to get into the loop of things in this short of time.

Do we have a facebook page for the Cruise?

Thanks for letting me ramble :)

Krisann

DCL confirmed that the pillows as standard in the room are foam pillows! :cool1:

That's pretty cool...however I need my own pillow so I'll be taking up some space in my luggage with that. I can't help it, I love my pillow!

I was really pleased to have gained "only" 5 pounds on the EBTA. I packed my gym clothes....but never made it to the fitness center. Somehow, I always got "lost" in the rainforest.

5 pounds isn't bad at all! I can only hope for only a 5 pound gain on the cruise! LOL!

not sure how but I actually lost 5lbs on the EBTA - I did stop eating anytime I felt full but I did eat everything I wanted to!

Krisann

Though, losing 5 pounds would be even better! :lmao:

oh I am so glad to know I am not the only one who travels with their pillow! My pillow is a feather pillow but it is not soft and fluffy really - my family calls it a rock but I love sleeping on it - the feathers (which get washed every so many months) - are feathers from my great-great-grandfather's feather bed so everytime I wash it it gets a little smaller :( but I love it and have been sleeping on it for 25 years.

Now the one thing is on this trip after loosing 2 suitcases on 2 different flights for as much as a week - is this pillow is only going into my carry on from now on!

And yeah I will admit it - I had a blanket as a child too!

Now you all probably think I am really weird

Krisann

My planned daily walking regimen so far:

I haven't figured out my afternoon walks yet. but it will probably start with:
Walk to buffet (just in case the walk to lunch was disappointing)

Michael

This is my kind of exercise regime. I do assume that the section with the buffet, includes additional walks to/from the desserts bar, just to get those few extra steps in?

Seriously, maybe 3 or 4 times around the deck on sea days????

We often stroll around deck 4 multiple times a day, I hate sitting still for long periods of time.

Gym.... They have a gym???? ;):lmao:

You mean Gym is a location and not a person? :rotfl2:

not sure how but I actually lost 5lbs on the EBTA - I did stop eating anytime I felt full but I did eat everything I wanted to!

I never put on any weight cruising either. I never deny myself anything but as always, I try to do all things in moderation. I also take the stairs where possible too.

Also how many are staying at WDW post cruise ?? We booked Animal Kingdom for a night through DVC ...
pirate:

We have 10 nights in a studio at AKV (Kidani) following the cruise and 3 at the Grand Californian.

Do we have a facebook page for the Cruise?

Thanks for posting the navigators.

The cruise Facebook page is here - http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=70039214008&ref=ts

Well I've had a busy few days. I have done a fair bit of shopping but not much to show for it. I really need some winter weight tops to wear to work - its air-conditioned but I freeze - working with too many men, they like it like a fridge! I did manage to get a couple of nice tops but it was hard work!

While out shopping, we also found some cool FE gifts, so have changed my gift plan a bit. I was toying with the idea of making something and I still might but now have at least got it mostly done so if my craft idea doesn't pan out, I'm not totally in the pooh.

I got my passport photo taken this morning, my passport expired in April so need to get it renewed before we go. I wanted my photo done before shaving my head on Friday (fundraising for Child Cancer Foundation and Canteen). It turned out ok and I'm hoping that its accepted, I know they have got very fussy with them lately.

Luckily while shopping I also found a really cool hat - I'll be needing a hats for the next few months until my hair grows back a bit more.

This morning I repacked my suitcase and created my packing list - happy to post if its of any use to anyone. I still have to put in a few items but I have plenty of room and haven't used the "expander" section either.

If anyone wants to join the candy swap or sign up for ground transport please PM me - details are on page 1 of the thread.

:woohoo::woohoo: Is Candida lurking:wave2:

Hi, Lynn

Yes, I'm here, thanks for asking. I'm hiding in the background. Still hanging over Jon's shoulder, like a parrot, reading the posts  I have to get into the boards like he is. I keep up with all the latest happenings from him.
Looking forward to meeting all of you.

Candida

we are not - we are going to Austria/Germany/Amsterdam before the cruise - I like at the end of the cruise to check our bags on the ship and not deal with them again till we get to our home airport.

Krisann
You are not weird at all! I didn't have a blanket when I was little, I actually had a bunny puppet. I slept with my bunny pretty much every night until I got married. My bunny is very well loved so hopefully Dave will fair better! :lmao:

Well, I asked you all nicely to not chat too much as I was away for a couple of day, and I come home to 10 pages, YES 10 PAGES!!!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Have fun, what kind of boat do you have, Dad has a boat, I love it, we all love it.

We have a Riviera M400, which is a 40 foot sports cruiser. We love it, My DH and I have both grown up around boats and the water, It's a great lifestyle. My older DD had her first go on a stand up Jet ski today, they've both been on the sit downs, but not the stand ups, She loved it. :cool1::cool1::cool1:

WHAT!!! Avoided food? This makes no sense to me!!

What's with avoiding food, that should be illegal! :lmao:

:woohoo:My waitlist came through!!! :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

I should cheer up shouldn't I???:rotfl::lmao:

Steffy, If you want candy, your gonna get candy! We went to the MNSSHP in 2008 and had more candy than we could eat in the 3 weeks we were there, We ended up leaving bags there for mousekeeping!

Only went down to the 11 mark - it does go down to 1!!!

Me thinks Sarah and I need to use the multi quote more often!:lmao:

Me thinks you have too much time on your hands! It's a pity you don't live close to me, I could drop off my ironing since you've got all this spare time. :rotfl2:

Ah I see works well! I think Pop was like £50 more expensive over the 6 days to buy on the US site but thought we'd go for it as will spend more than that on breakfast for 6 days!

Don't the UK residents have free dining at the moment? Can't you book through them?

I am looking this morning for two outfits for a wedding rehearsal and wedding. My nephew is getting married in July and I think I can use these same outfits for the cruise, thus killing two birds with one stone.

They are getting married at the Vintner's Inn near the Russian River in Santa Rosa which is a really lovely place.

http://www.vintnersinn.com/

That place looks beautiful, just charmng.
I would love to come shopping with you, and believe me shopping in America is really worth the flight from Australia! But since I'm coming in a few months, I'd better not this time! :thumbsup2

Far too much exercise, far too much!!!;)

We are staying a week at BCV. PJ has an ambitious plan for us Saturday. :dance3:

Has she entered you for the half marathon???:rotfl2:

Okay, why has it been so difficult to find a place in Barcelona that will have 2 adults and 2 children ..LOL I know most of you are coming in like the 15th or later but I am trying to find something for one night on the 7th so we can catch the ship for the last med cruise ... Has anybody booked for a fam of 4 and where ?? What kind of price ?? Thanks for any help you can give ...I know some have suggested other hotels but some come up a bit expensive ...

Also how many are staying at WDW post cruise ?? We booked Animal Kingdom for a night through DVC ...

pirate:
sorry, we had booked an apartment.
It is a crazy day here today in TO, crazy winds, cold. But I got a new dress for the cruise, and it was on sale! I am making DM a roast beef dinner.

m new dress, well done.

Whatever the outfit, it will need an elasticated waist of be a size larger than I need at the beginning of the cruise!!!!!!:rotfl2:

Elastic and Drawstring, that's my cruise wardrobe plans!:thumbsup2

Maybe we need to form a daily walking group to be sure we don't put on too much weight. What do you think?

Just my thoughts...
:surfweb:

I'll walk with you, would love to!

My planned daily walking regimen so far:
Walk to breakfast
Walk to drink station
Walk to buffet (just in case the walk to breakfast was disappointing)
Walk to Cove Cafe
Walk by gym
Walk to Pluto's
Walk to Pinnochio's
Walk to ice cream place (name that I can't remember)
Walk to Lunch.

I haven't figured out my afternoon walks yet. but it will probably start with:
Walk to buffet (just in case the walk to lunch was disappointing)

Michael

That sounds like a fantastic walk, can we also take a snack with us for the walking part? Maybe a mickey head ice-cream?

I was really pleased to have gained "only" 5 pounds on the EBTA. I packed my gym clothes....but never made it to the fitness center. Somehow, I always got "lost" in the rainforest.

I'll be happy with 5 pounds! One of our trips to USA I wore jeans on the plane, Now...these were comfy jeans, comfy enough to wear on a 20 hour flight. I went to put them on for the flight home, I couldn't even get them ON, let alone done up!!! They wouldn't go past my knees!!!!! :scared1:

Yes, he is really nice, he serves in the bar.:lmao:
Looking forward to meeting him......maybe :rotfl2:

I

When we got to the port, about 70% were normal taxis, but the other 30 % were people carriers. The police did the crowd control at the port and they asked everybody how many people in the party and hailed taxis accordingly. This was really well organized/

Thanks, Taxi will be our plan then if we decide not to hire a car.

LOL I think I gained more than 5 lbs in 3 days with the amount I ate on my mini cruise so I think I'm going to accept coming back 6 stone heavier!

They can roll us off together! :lmao:

not sure how but I actually lost 5lbs on the EBTA - I did stop eating anytime I felt full but I did eat everything I wanted to!

Krisann

I'm following you around, eating what your eating, walking when your walking, you may have an extra shadow! :lmao:

ok for anyone who wants to see them I finally have all my navigators and other info sheets scanned and posted in a facebook album.

http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=2061536&id=1139906413&l=1bdcf464f3

Now when I put them in I dated/numbered everything but now on Facebook they are not that way! If anyone would like me to send them the file with everything just let me know! There are 77 images!

Krisann

Thanks :cool1::thumbsup2:cool1:

Can we join the
PIF
gang?!?

Woo hoo! We are all set! Paid in full just now. :cool1::yay::dance3::cheer2:
Congratulations!

Thanks gang! Feels great!

Rainy, windy and partly sunny day day here in Toronto. Got some supplies to make stateroom door magnets today so that's what I am doing. The kids helped but have run off now. Just me and the little squidget who is spearing Os cereal with a Playmobil umbrella pretty contentedly. Apparently DH and the kids decided we're having a movie night in tonight. I'm making burritos, guacamole, salad and some nachos for dinner. It's a nice day.

Yum, Sounds great! ;)

Good job! I love a good sale! I need to try on my "little" :rotfl: black dress. I have lost 20 lbs since last wearing it so it should still be good even to the end of the cruise! ;)

20lbs is fantastic, good on you, what's your trick?

Thanks to those who have asked to be my friend on facebook! I am really feeling weird and out of the loop on this cruise as the last two long cruises I have been on the board since day 1 of booking and I feel like I am coming into this so late in the game and out of the loop - there are a few I already know and that is really nice! Krisann

I felt the same way when I first started posting, I learnt that everyone is welcome here, and it's such a friendly, good natured group of people. :thumbsup2
I didn't know we had a facebook page, I just joined! YAY!
