I am super excited! I love Marks and Spencers chips (crisps). They have flavours we don't get in Canada. I also love their Extra Strong tea. Love it. Must get some. If anyone wanted to be my best friend on this cruise they would let me reimburse them for a few boxes of the tea from the UK. :rotfl:
I will gladly bring you some tea, Pm me what you want.
:thumbsup2

I love the sun burn stuff, will have to make an inquiry with our stateroom host.

We lost our last Marks and Sparks when I was 9, would love to visit in Gib.

Now we only have three minor segments of our Magical trip left: 1. Transfers from Barcelona Airport to hotel, 2. Rental car from Port Canaveral to Pop Century, and 3. Flight home Orlando to Portland, OR. :cool1:

We are getting very excited:rotfl:
Thats brilliant.
One thing I was thinking in regards to the linked dining - That means we would all be on the same dining rotation, of course. So which rotation would it mean? I know they used to structure the rotation assignments where one was geared more toward families with small children (almost always starting in AP), one more toward adults, and one for adults or those with older children. I don't know if they still do that or not, but do we have any idea which rotation we'd be looking for?

I've usually tried to find the rotation that put me in Lumiere's on Formal night, and PC on pirate night, though the recent rotations have made that more difficult. I really don't want to be in PC on formal night, just because it always seems like a contradiction to be all dressed up in such a casual restaurant.
TBH< last time we just e-mailed them seperatly, the other family e-maile disney and so did we. The only thing about doing on mass would ber weve not a lot of chance if were asking for specific servers and stuff.
I stopped this morning to get my passport photo taken at AAA. I was in and out in five minutes which was wonderful! The bad part about it is that you can't show teeth if you smile. Now, when I smile, I always show my teeth. So I smiled, but the picture looks like I have a bird in my mouth! All that is missing is the feather! Only me... she asked if I wanted it retaken, but I knew it wasn't going to get any better unless I could smile with my teeth showing so I just took that one.

I went in the afternoon to get my passport and I took with me what I thought I needed...I was wrong. I didn't need my new social security card, I need my new driver's license (which I don't have yet) and the official marriage license! Grrrr! Worst part of all is the fee is going up on Saturday and I was trying to get it today to beat the increase. Oh well...

Hope everyone is doing well! :)
Better luck next time,
Got the call from DU today (well, email...) that we could uprgade to a cat 3 for $2900. We are in a cat 4 now. I can't find a good list of the perks, other than room size, booking earlier and goodies being delivered daily.

Is that worth it? :confused3 Anyone? What other perks are there? Would they cater to DD who os VERY shy? Would they be able to get DH a bridge tour? I have poured through the posts out there, and there are so many conflicting notes, that I am now totally confused.

HELP!!! We have until noon EST, so any insight would be appreciated.

(good grief - if we take this I fall out of the PIF club...:sad2:)

Personally I dont think so, but heck, why not if you can afford it:confused3
Why dont you start a thread and see what come up?
Goodies being delivered daily is overated I think, a bridge tour wouldnt be.
Phone dcl and ask maybe.

I am NOT taking toiletries and stuff, i will get what I need here or barcelona.

I cant wait for this cruise

I am away uo the loft post half bottle of wine to check my luggage out.

Wish me luck.I need to see what bags and cases Ive got.

LOL I think I need to buy some cases!

Weirdly the UK Disney site has been doing free dining for months now for October but not for value resorts. If they open it for value resorts - even just the quick service - I think Ill be jumping on this! Need to check it out next week on the US website and see what it looks like cost wise.

Anyone know the cancellation policy for WDW hotels? Do they take payment immediately or is it a deposit first thing?

I love Marks & Spencer! I picked up a quick sandwich there when I was at Windsor. They also had some lovely cakes that I brought back to the room.

I hit every grocery store I found in London. We were there in November so there were lots of Christmas goodies in the stores.

I made it to a Waitrose and Tesco and another one that I can't remember, but we didn't see a Morrisons.

I was hoping that there would be a Fortum & Masons in Gibraltar. I had so much fun there!

I still have plenty of tea! I bought so much, it was so inexpensive.:lovestruc

I'm o so lucky to have a big Marks and Spencer in my town, and a really huge one just a short drive away.

But you can't beat Fortum & Masons for tea in my mind, my DBB got me a beautiful laqured wooden box with 200 indvidually wrapped t-tags in 12 different flavours for Christmas. I love browsing the selection in the morning, think my favourite is Assam Superb. Think i'll be packing a few to enjoy on the cruise, can't go 3 weeks without a decent cuppa. (gosh i'm so english) :lmao:

Way to go!! We no longer have the Disney Visa because they raised the rates so high. We had been with them since "Day 1" and were sad to give it up but we canceled all the cards that raised our rates "just because". We have excellent credit and the response to why the increase was pretty much because we can. We kept credit union card, no Disney perks, but very low interest if we have to carry a balance occasionally.

I know that last time we did a large group linked dinning, we also requested which restaurant we wanted to start in and it was granted.

The craziness on this cruise is that we really don't how the special nights are set up.

Pj

We can take a poll :lmao: of folks when we are ready to request and see what would be most preferred. With a 2 week, several formals/semi-formals I'm not sure that it matters much, but I am open to making whatever request folks want. I would love to request William for a server if he is on board. Anyone else know him? He received an award for being the best and when he took care of us he certainly was!

Just joined the PIF club!!

I am very EXCITED... I also have almost all of the navigators from that cruise so if anyone wants any information,,, I'll be glad to share.

My crew: DH - Peter, me - Denise, dd- Jessica 12, dd- Kimberly 8

This will be my 10th cruise
My DH's 9th cruise
and my dd's 8th cruise.

We also did the Trans in 2007 (the return) and so everyone is so looking forward to this trip.

Hope to see you all there.

Denise
Welcome aboard!
Be sure to PM tig82174 to get on the Lanyard list
Actually that's probably good advice for all the new comers.
Hopefully they can still be accommodated

Oh, that is such a nasty illness and I am so sorry you have it. Hopefully I shouldn't go that far if this sorts things. Do you go on the Pancreatitis forum?

www.pancreatitis.org.uk is the website and was a great help to me as I had no info when I was discharged. The forum is a link from that page(discussion). If you haven't been on there there are many with chronic pancreatitis and they all find it helpful and are a little community that keeps them sane.
I have been very moved by what they have to cope with.

Thanks for the link. No I dont know why but I have never thought about a forum for it. I was diagnosed about 5 years ago after a year of indecision. I only looked up initially what pancreatitis was, causes etc, never thought about a forum. Will have a good read later on there. Thanks again.

You can scare yourself reading things up can't you? However they all have years of experience between them on the forum and like to think they give sensible advice!!

I'm excited as I just purchased our MNSSHP tickets for after the cruise!! :cool1:

Perhaps we should have a passport showing meet!!! I bet there are plenty of very funny ones.:lmao:

My daughter, although quite lovely, is not photogenic. The camera always seems to catch her at very awkward moments. Her passport looks like she has typhoid fever and and a very sore bottom. She also looks jaundiced and a good advertisement for why kids ought not to be sheltered from the sun, eat Cheetos for breakfast, and sleep less than 8 hours a night. :rotfl::rotfl: It's a truly terrible passport photo. My son's - taken at the same time looks quite nice. It's not fair. :rotfl2:

DH looks positively handsome in his, and I look dreadful. Maybe it's genetic? My 3 year old's was taken when he was seven months and he looks like a baby prisoner. He's getting a new one this year.

Well as our Passporter was not available, :sad1: we went ahead and ordered a Birnbaum DCL 2010 guide. Arrived today and must say a bit disappointed as there is no mention of any Trans Atlantic, Med or Baltic cruises. :confused3 For a so called official guide to not even acknowledge that the Magic will be out of the Carribean for half of 2010 is most unusual to say the least. Thinking about writing to them to express our disappointment.

I bought the Birnbaum DCL guide for our first cruise in 2005 after having read the passporter book, and it was a pitiful comparison. More like a DCL sponsored ad than anything resembling useful information. At least that's what I remember about it. Thanks for saving us the money! Sorry you were disappointed. Perhaps you can get your money back?

yeah the latest information I had on the Passporter is that it would be available mid to late May. Assuming that they hold to that timeframe, I just might get it before the window opens to book excursions, etc. All this to add information on a ship coming next year??? Basically it will turn out to be a 2011 book!

I'm still waiting to hear from them as to when the e-book will be made available.
