I got a little teary eyed watching her leave. My parents are on the EB and I hope they are having a magical time.

I popped over about a month ago with every intention of joining our cruise thread and keeping up with things, but then work and another vacation got in the way! BUT, today I booked air travel for us to Barcelona and the cruise is paid off, so I suppose it is really going to happen and I should start preparing.

Dh and I are booked on the WB - our first cruise together and our first Disney cruise. I suppose we could have started with a nice 3 nighter to see how we like it, but where is the fun and adventure in that?

So true! DH & I booked our first ever cruise on the Magic for the WB Panama Canal 2008.

Most people we knew who had cruised before were aghast "You're doing a 15 night cruise for your first cruise?????" Yeah - and by the time I made it up the gangway for boarding, I knew they were going to have trouble getting me off the ship. :goodvibes

And, here we are again, back for 14 more nights.

:cutie:

Hey all,

So, I was looking at the lists, and started second guessing myself... I stopped at 18 cabins, and about 40 people per group. Is that too many? Should I dial it back to 15 cabins? It is an easy change for me to make, just need to know if I should.

Let me know. If we want to go down to 15, I will make the change after I get home from what I am now calling our "Never Ending Renovation"...

I vote for 15 cabins

DD Jennifer sent me this great pic. She and her girlfriends are having a girls weekend at The Inn at Spanish Bay in Pebble Beach. She played a round of golf, followed by spa treatments at the Spa at Pebble Beach. Cocktails and dinner at the hotel is planned for tonight. More golf and spa treatments before they return home tomorrow evening. We took our kids to the same hotel many times when they were growing up so I am glad she is carrying on the family tradition.

:welcome: and what a wonderful first Disney cruise :woohoo:

Is it too early to hope for Trip reports lol!

Seriously, what is taking them so long? Have they no consideration for us sitting around waiting for our own trips? :rotfl2:

PIF!!!!!,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,PIF!!!!!!!!.......I am PIF!!! :dance3::yay::woohoo::banana::yay::cool1::thumbsup2:dance3:

I've never done any cruise less than 7 days, longest I have done is 18 with Princess across the north of Australia. However long it is, its too short.

We're in the same boat, LOL! It is also our first ever cruise, and we're doing it with 2 kids in tow, Crazy? We'll see!

I'm happy with the list, Most of us were planning on 25 cabins so 18 is fine. I know a few people had already bought supplies for 25 aswell, so dropping down to 15 would mean alot of left overs for some?

And Yay, I have a few more kids!!!!!
Don't get me wrong, It's still fun for the adults, but I just know when my kids come back to the room and find something in thier FE they will be so excitied, A kids excitement is different to an adults, It's contagious!
Although it does sound like me have a few overgrown kids on our cruise too!:rotfl2:
Hey I resemble that remark!!!:lmao::rotfl:

I'm good. And also Terry explained to me why I was on one line and she was on another. Keep up the great work!!!

Can I just say that on both of our Dec cruises, that I was just like a kid checking the FE for things. It was such fun finding things in there.!!!!!
I have a few things that I hope will be fun for other folks!!!!:goodvibes

We booked the 2008 WB PC as our first cruise too, but did decide to do a 4 night taster before. We loved it and felt it helped us know the ship(well it was the Wonder, but really the same) so we felt at home straight away when we got onboard for the PC. Now of course, a 4 nighter is far too short!!:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Thanks Sue, I went on the roll call and checked out ages. I tried to edit my name on roll call too but can't remember my password???
Have fun doing your kitchen splashback! :goodvibes

No, I think they should be in their rooms on their computers doing trip reports, not at all having fun at the sail away party!!!! :rotfl2:

Definately!

There are quite a few blogs that were started on the EB thread. Two of four that I found were updated to reflect their travels up until yesterday or today. Can't wait to hear all about the EB travels so we can take notes for the WB. I have them in my favorite places and will probably be clicking on them several times a day !

Oh really? Do you have the links? I've only got a link to one of them
