They have know each other more then 30 years:goodvibes
We lived just around the corner from her family for 10 years, all the kids grew up together.
It will be both their 2nd marriages, his was a few months short of 15 years, and here's about 3.
It's sortta like the Brady Bunch, he has 2 boys and she has 2 girls.
That means we add 2 more grandkids ... bringing the total to::: 16!:scared1::grouphug:

Some mention of a summer wedding... in Las Vegas!
This is going to be one crazy summer! Oh did I mention that Im the president of the Art Guild and we are doing a celebraty shoe auction and a street show??? And that the auction and sale is going to be during the cruise???

Can I say :scared1::eek::scared1:
Note to self... How to get them to go to Vegas on 14 or 15 of Sept!

Ann :yay:

LOL I will be doing this! ACCESSORIES ARE MY FRIEND!

Hands up who loves GOK!!!! ME MEMEMEMEMEMEME

Anyway if we aren't careful well be back on to the clothes exchange idea.

I like Gok, too. Although I think he should lose the lipstick. Eyeliner I can handle but man-lips just don't look at the great in lipstick IMHO!

Hi!

I looked on the website and for our cruise things are really clearing up: everything from cat 4 all the way down the cat 10s. Every category was available. Last week there were only 4s at times!

Has anyone been moved out of GTY status yet? We are cat 11 GTY for our second cabin. Still GTY on the website for us.

You mustn't blame yourself. Sounds like you really look after your pets and give them a wonderful life.

So what happens to Remy does he have to diet??? maybe you should sign him up on the W.I.S.H. forum. or set up a mini Castaway 5k for him,and cetainly no rodent candy swap till he sheads those extra grams.

SW

LOL! I was thinking that we should sign her up for Weight Watchers! LOL! But really, I've read that it's best to give mice the less fatty nuts. We'll have to wait and see if it works.

Nope, we are still 10GTY, will let you know if anything changes! :thumbsup2

Ok Paula, I have shoes for you. On our B2B2B I took 12 pairs!:lmao:
And wore everyone of them!!!:rotfl2:
And that would be american size 7. Sorry no flip flops in the batch.

Ann :rotfl:

Aw nuts - I'm a size US9 so can't do the shoe swap with you ... anyone else:rotfl:?

Paula, great and awesome job with the Chocolate/Candy swap!!! I hope I can still join closer to the date.

Let me know if you decide to join us - I'm happy to create another group and shuffle people around :)

I tell everyone my middle name is "Overpack" :rotfl2::rotfl2:
If I ever had a robber come in our house, theres a few thinks they better not take:
Anything Disney
My dog
My purses
And Never Ever think about taking my shoes!!!!:lmao:

I have no idea how many pairs of shoes I own but Robert would tell you "far too many" - I just don't like to travel with them on holiday. They are too heavy and it gives me a great excuse to buy more shoes!

Paula, i was walking to work listening to some old DIS UNPLUGGED podcast and heard you call in!

I was thinking "I know her!!!!"

(clearly i don't know you....) but you get my point.

SW

Thats so funny! I've called in a couple of other times but they haven't played my messages but I have also had a couple of emails answered over the years.

I'm coming up soon on the Be Our Guest podcast too - that'll be a show just about me so definitely add that to your "must listen" list :)

For all of those guy's from the UK worried about space for all your clothing, surely the simple answer is just to pack one formal dress

and just keep "GOK-ing" it"" :rotfl:

I realise that reference will be lost on almost everyone... (SORRY)

I totally adore Gok - he's so cool! So thinking... maybe an accesssory swap? :rotfl2:

Anyone else, come on people, when else can you go to a restaurant in your PJ's with messy hair and morning breath? PM me if you want to come!:goodvibes

I confess... my PJs probably aren't very seemly for public viewing. 80% of the clothing coming with me is a one way trip. Anything still wearable will be dropped into a thrift store just before we leave Florida and the rest probably thrown in the bin (I'm talking about Robert's old gardening/painting tshirt which I will wear as nightwear, mismatched socks, grotty old undies etc). I am aiming to do a lot of shopping in Florida and aim to only be coming home with one outfit that leaves NZ with me (just in case I don't buy a full outfit to wear home). Is that TMI? ;)

Last weeks question:

Looks like this weeks question was “fitting” for the week. All this talk about diets, candy/chocolate swaps:goodvibes. Hopefully even if I get as big as Spaceship Earth I will till fit into my clothes. Now back to our regularly scheduled post.

Ooooo now I have an idea... just as your cabin attendant for a spare sheet and wear it toga like with a belt? That means it will fit the entire cruise!

This is great Paula. If you want to balance out you numbers you can add my DW. She won't go for the chocolate (I'll have that covered) but she will partake in some candy.

Thanks Jon - I've added a note to my spreadsheet to that effect :)

Good bargain shop! I thought I was good with £3 top today but hey you win!

I can one up you on that. ;) I'm the queen of bargain hunting. £3=$US4.50=$NZ6.45 - we have a second hand clothing place here that all items including shoes are $NZ2 - thats my usual clothing shop of choice. Its like a huge warehouse with rack upon rack of clothing. Personally though, I prefer fairs - fill a bag for $2 - I can get a heck of a lot of clothing into a supermarket bag :rotfl: We also have a charity shop here where you can take the first 5 items for free - I often browse the clothing and have picked up some great garments. A couple of these will be coming on the cruise with me - a pair of cargo pants with a small bleach stain near the cuff and a pair of "silky" black asian type fabric pants which I will be wearing to dinner (probably to formal night) :rotfl:

First my Gok Wan reference, now Dr Who!!! it's like the British invasion. :rotfl:

Bet most of our USA friends don't know whats going on LOL.

Robert likes Dr Who, I don't mind it but just as I start to like the Dr, they change him on me!

I think we are a fair way behind Glee too, but I don't watch it. I know we are nearly 18 months behind America's Next top model and Project Runway. Thank goodness for the Internet ;)

So, everyone that cares - quick weigh in!
25 actual fish extenders, or 25 people?
keep the kids together? Spread them out?

Seriously, the easiest thing is 25 actual FE's and letting the kids fall where they will. But I am willing to do whatever!

I just want September to get here!!! I am ready to do a FE exchange, Secret Mickey, candy swap and a ladies tea all while wearing my DIS meet t-shirt and my lanyard...

I am very jealous of Mr Woody right now!!! I wanna go too!!!:rotfl:

My vote is for 25 FE's and the kids mixed in. Thanks.

We've always had a room number? Why is that? We had a room number when we were a cat. 5. We got a room number when we upgraded to cat. 4The last two cruises we always had a room number, as soon as we booked...

One cruise we had the secret veranadah room 6134. The next cruise we had the room midship right over the stabilizer. And I think our new room is midship. Really midship, right over the stabilizer. :goodvibes:goodvibes

Do you not get a room numbr when you are booking just a catergory and expecting an upgrade? We have never gotten a free upgrade.:)

I think he will grow on people like David Tennant did for many. I like that he is completely different and whacky. I like his companion too. I was wondering how they were going to introduce her, even though I had read a little about it. Should be a good partnership.

Yeah Im with you on that one. I think she's going to be great!

Thank you all for your kind words regarding the loss of Snoopy. Sadly, we think we figured out what killed Snoopy - mites. My mom took Remy to the vet yesterday because she was always scratching herself just to make sure she was OK. Well, it turns out she had mites from the bedding we used in her cage. This is what most likely killed Snoopy because Snoopy was a lot smaller than Remy. :( I feel so guilty about it because if we had known, Snoopy would still be alive. Anyway, the vet weighed Remy and she weighs 100 grams! :scared1: She needs a diet or she may have a heart attack, the vet said. Remy is adjusting to life without Snoopy, but it still makes me sad. :(

That is so sad but funny at the same time!

Looks great, Paula! :thumbsup2

How exciting! Time for wedding planning!!!!! I miss wedding planning!

Hope everybody is having a wonderful day! :)

Don't blame yourself! There are a lot of what ifs when ever anyone dies! My last dog Gemma died because she collapsed her wind pipe when she hit her throat against a cupboard jumping up to the window. I spent months thinking "what if I'd been home earlier" or loads of things but it doesn't happen like that. He knew you loved him and thats all that we can hold to!

First my Gok Wan reference, now Dr Who!!! it's like the British invasion. :rotfl:

Bet most of our USA friends don't know whats going on LOL.

Never fear i'm watching American Idol at the moment too!!!

oh and Glee

(although we're quite far behind you guys on Glee)

SW

LOL! I love Glee! Glee rules!

constitutional republic, representative democracy???

Not sure we get those over here!!! are they on FOX, ABC OR HBO ;)

SW

PS This is not a joke about politics, it's a joke about about my lack of understanding of it...

Do any of us over this side of the pond understand American politics? I know I don't! Did try to work it all out once and my brain hurts!

For our American friends this is his most famous show:

How to Look Good Naked

And this is what he looks like:

They only let people choose their stateroom numbers for a certain number of staterooms in each category. Once this number of staterooms has gone, the category goes into GTY status. This means that you are guaranteed a stateroom in at least this category. Category 12 will always be GTY as they have so few cabins in that category. For instance for our upcoming Med cruise, we booked a category 12 GTY, but were initially assigned a category 10 at about 45 days prior to sailing. I did not want the upgrade so my travel agent convinced them to put me back into a category 12.

Oh my God I'm coming to visit you! Wish we had that! I find that the clothes in our charity shops are a little on the dingy size usually and we definately don't have the 5 items free!

Yes, and thats why he has mites, cause he is comprimesd without his friend, DONT blame yourself, I have pmd you an article. Its like my bunny getting cannicula when her mate died, didnt mean he died of it, like mites they can have it for years beofre it comes out when they get old/distressed/cancer etc.

We're proud of some of our exports - constitutional republic, representative democracy (well, it used to be :confused3 ) - but American Idol??? :scared1:
lol.
Yeah, I really have no idea what you guys are talking about...it is a TV show?

I watch American Idol even though I don't really love it as much as I used to. But I love Glee!! Such a fun show!
Yip, it a really really old tv show.
