Also, your shoe thingy-ma-jig, I have one of those, looks the same but has a metal rod that slides through the top to keep it straight. I also have a smaller one which was sold as a jewellery holder.

That's why we use a metal hanger.

I emailed and they gave me a rate of 35 pounds (hey where's my key for that symbol?) from the airport and 24 to return. I think a cab was 70 pounds each way. Thank you so much for the link:worship:.

No problem....that's a great price.

:bday: Happy belated birthday, Angie party:

Well, we got our room assignment for the Med cruise yesterday. We were "upgraded". I am not overly happy. We are in 1065, which is a category 10. I was so hoping for either a category 12 or 11 so that we did not have the split bathroom. I really hate them. I am actually starting to figure out were the closest public restrooms are in relation to out cabin. I know that I will shower up in the spa.

Corinna

I like the split bathrooms, though I haven't cruised in a cabin without one. John and I just take over one each and allow each other access for whatever reason they need it!!!;)

Never had an upgrade or a split bathroom.
Why dont you e-mail them, I am sure some one would be happy to take an upgrade.
Thats rubbish if you are thinking about public restrooms, I would def get in touch with them if you are that worried!

Sorry Angie Missed your birthday but happy belated birthday! :cool1:

:cool1:HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY ANGIE :cool1:

Thank you all again! Belated is fine as I am still celebrating. :woohoo: I made one of our family's favorite dinners tonight, chicken enchilladas, and then we had birthday cake. No time for cake yesterday! Tomorrow we plan to go out to dinner again and use my Outback gift certificates. :dance3: It may end Saturday unless I can think of something other way to celebrate.....maybe a ride on our local carrousel. (sp???) :)

Happy birthday Angie (a bit late now but ... ;) )

Hi, quick question, I have heard such mixed reviews about SSR, I thought I'd ask you what you loved / hated about it, since your nearly my neighbour, lol.
I have booked all my flights, so I have 12 nights at WDW. We stayed at POFQ last time and loved it. There is me, DH and DD's 8 & 9. TIA, Hayley :goodvibes

We own at SSR but actually have only stayed there once - we stayed for about 12 nights in 2008 and loved it. Its a beautiful resort and love the location near DTD. We had a room almost directly opposite the carriage house and main pool. We would be more than happy to stay there again

Have you considered Old Key West? This is a really pretty resort and usually quite easy to get even at relatively short notice. This is out home resort, but we are staying at Bay Lake Towers this time. DH always wanted to stay at the Contemporary Resort so that is a good fit for us especially as we only have 5 days at WDW this time round.
a

We are hoping for AKL or WL - just simply because we haven't stayed there. OKW we stayed at for a week - but didn't really take to it, it was nice but we prefer some of the other resorts.

That would be awesome! We saw "Up" in 3D last time we were on the ship and it made the movie even better. I think they do a really great job with the 3D movies on the ship.

I'd love to see Up in 3D - I saw it on our 17" computer monitor and I think it lost something :rotfl:

A few new people have joined us to yet again here is my Spam for ground transport... :lmao:

If you would like to put your name on the list for no obligation ground transport in Barcelona from area hotels to the port, please PM me.

We have 50+ people interested so should be able to score a cheap deal...

The pound symbol is above the number 3 on my keyboard.

Sorry to hear you are far from impressed with your "upgrade" I have never seen or stayed in a cabin with split bathroom but must admit I don't really
see the point of them .... they must be really small. I would get in touch and see if you can be "downgraded" to an Cat 11.

Never had an upgrade or a split bathroom.

I agree.

Im with you on the split bathroom thing. Not sure I like it as definately preferred my Cat 11. Still its a cool upgrade

Oh Outback! Blooming Onions and French Onion Soup mmmm making me hungry just thinking about it!

Oh now this is complicated because on American keyboards the £ sign isn't where it is on a UK one. I believe on the American ones you have to do a combination of keys. I think its the AltGr button and the number 4 but it may not be. On most American keyboards the number 3 is the # key which british keyboards have above the return sign. I think though this only works if you have the keyboard in US-International mode. You can look at keyboard settings under the Control Panel options and it will tell you what state you are using.

Thats a great bargain! I love snagging bargains and I can't wait to start shopping for cruise clothing but plan to lose a stone in weight first. Hopefully before the summer clothing sales start here in July. Most of my existing cruise clothing is a dress size below what I am now, so if I don't shift the weight this trip will be very expensive as I will need a whole new wardrobe and that is NOT going to happen.

Oh, good we're talking shopping, Can I go now? I keep thinking it's way too soon, well...I'm not the first, so thats my green light!!!!

I've been trying to lose weight since last May. I was doing well (I lost almost 15 pounds) and then I lost my job and I gained it all back. I'm trying to get it back off...I actually have my meeting (I'm doing Weight Watchers) tonight so I'll weigh in and see how I am doing! Keep your fingers crossed.

I also have to ask, how much is a stone? It is so wonderful to be cruising with people from around the globe because I am learning so much about the world! :)

I think nearly all of us girls are on the weight loss merry-go-round! Good Luck!
We use Kg's here, and I'd like to lose 15 of them before we cruise, not likely, but still trying, my trainer is killing me!!

A stone is 14 lbs.

I think a pound is about 0.45 kg's, I think?

If you find a place where you can buy new metabolism, let me know too! LOL!!!!

Me three!!!:lmao:

Theres a schedule of planes on the websie for the bar I think - or on the airport website. Big planes are in in the afternoon!

Thanks, you really are a fountain of knowledge!

Thanks, I think we'll book there for 12 night after cruise. I like how close it is to DTD, we love some of the easy eating options there, especially with kids, we need a quick meal sometimes. Our little one has fallen asleep in her food before!:rotfl:
