Hey everyone! As you know we are struggling with the website still... Poor Glenn is going to have to endure a long call with them tonight to get it all sorted out... :surfweb:

Once that is done I will get the latest update in the FE exchange, and see if we have enough to get some of the groupings put together.

I will get an update posted later this week!

Sue

Sue/Glenn you're doing fab jobs!

I just talked to DCL....

We are another lucky couple who are going to receive NO OBC!
DCL said they solved the "problem" in November.
KEEP your letters, sounds like they might pull them if you dont have proof of the OBC.

I guess I'll take my $25.00 and have some fun.:thumbsup2

Other then that... have a great Monday, mine is wet:cool1:

Ann :rolleyes1

How very odd! I guess not everyone had been sent the letters then before they pulled it!

Maybe those of you who didn't get the OBC will get a room upgrade instead! Fingers crossed for you!:goodvibes

I am really worried that my DS Danny has got Glandular Fever or Mononucleiosis as it is called in the USA. He has had the symptoms of acute tonsillitis for a week now and it hasn't responded to penicillin .... so now he has a blood test tomorrow.

It is really bad timing as we were due away skiing on Thursday and if he has got this I won't want to go for sure. He also has important school exams in 2 weeks and if he has this then he is likely to miss the exams and have to do them again in the summer. I really need some pixie dust and hope that the test shows he doesn't have it. The poor thing is so not himself at the moment .... very fatigued and lethargic and in lots of pain with his throat.
And there is no real treatment .... which is very frustrating and makes me feel useless : (

Welcome aboard!! I am Noel (59) and sailing with husband John (66). I also have three kids and but only 6 GK's. My youngest child is still single so who knows when or if there will be more GK's.

Looking forward to meeting you on board.

Hi Noel,

Sorry it took so long to get back to you. I am just getting back to the disboard after being away for a Music Retreat. I am also looking forward to meeting you and your husband. Everyone I have spoken to says this is a really friendly group. Have you taken a cruise before? With Disney? I have visted a few of the Disney resorts and was really pleased. I am sure this will be as great. Talk to you soon..Trudy

Hi Sara and Liz. I am new to the board and new to Disney Cruises. This is my first. Liz, it seems as if there are a few of us sixties+ sailing. I look forward to meeting you both. I am travelling with my dd, her husband and 3 kids. We have travelled several times to the Disney Resorts in Orlando but this is the first time on a cruise. We have a great time together so I am really excited about this trip. Trudy

Is anyone planning to vacation in Spain prior to taking the cruise? I am looking for a chartered bus trip. I took one last year to England and Scotland and loved it. Any suggestions?

Ok, I give, what is a Music Retreat?

I think this is a terrific group. My DH and I have cruised many times on Sitmar, Crystal, Princess, the Big Red Boat, Celebrity and RCCL.

I also cruised quite a few times with my family in the 1960's and 1970's when cruising was quite different. Cruising is one of my favorite ways to travel.

This is my 4th cruise on DCL. First was with GD Aspen, then two with family (Spring break 2006 and NYE cruise in the Walt suite in 2007). We have also spent Xmas week at WDW.

Growing up in California, I have been to Disneyland many, many times since it opened in 1955. Sometimes I would take my kids just for the day. We would fly down on a 6:30AM flight and return on a 11:00 PM flight on good old PSA. Boy does that date me!! I wonder how many people even remember PSA!!

We have our hotels and flights all lined up. All we have to do is make our final payment!!

John and I are arriving in Barcelona on Wednesday morning. We are planning to sightsee on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

John just got back Friday night from Barcelona and found some great ideas for us to do. One of the things that everyone says not to miss is La Sagrada Family. He also went to the Martime Museum which he said was ho hum. I also want to see the Picasso Museum.

We are considering taking a tour but have not decided on which one yet as we are reviewing several options. I will keep you posted.

A coch trip from spain to the uk? whawh, must have took ages, we arrive wed and plan to do touristy stuff in the city.:goodvibes

Don't panic too much just yet... (I know, easier said than done!)

When I had mono, what tipped my doctor off to the fact that it could be mono was because of my terribly sore throat. It wasn't strep so that prompted her to run the mono tests and mine came up positive for Epstein Barr (the virus that causes mono). I had that sore throat for several days and then one day it just went away. It may not be responding to the medication because it is part of the mono.

If the tests do come up as positive, I would speak with the doctor about the tests - even if he can't go to school because of being sick, maybe he could still go in to take the exams. I was out of school for over 2 months with mono and literally went back to school for two hours a day for the rest of the school year (I went back to school in April).

Mono is not fun...the best thing he can do is rest and not do anything else.

I'm sending you and your son LOTS of Pixie Dust! :wizard:

:welcome: Sarah!

Pretty soon our countdown will begin with a 1!!!!!:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

Sorry to hear. I rarely get sick. I did catch that growing up. That was one of the few things that slowed me down. Hope he feels better soon.
