1) Really our cabin - an oasis of peace. But I also like Cove Cafe early morning after a walk around the empty decks. I am planning on using the jaccuzzi one evening when dinner is on. Hopefully our tablemates won't mind us taking a night off.:)

2) I'm retired, John is semi retired, but I will keep sending him out to work to pay for the cruises!!! He has a business but our son has taken over and doing a fantastic job earning us money.:lmao:

Hubby inspects people and cargo, works for US Customs and Border Protection. LOL

We have TV programmes filming their work(well probably not the US ones) and it looks very interesting. Scare me rigid when we arrive in the US though. I automatically feel guilty.:rotfl:[/QUOTE]

Sounds like great jobs to me!
1. I love the Rainforest Room with the hot stone loungers!!!
2. I work for Best Buy as an Appliance Specialist.

They ARE amazing the loungers, I only tried them for a few minutes before a treatment, but this time we will have lots more time so plan to go more than once! Bet you have a huge telly!:goodvibes

I think we should have one every Monday so we get to know each other better.
We done this AGES ago, but we have lots of nice new ship mates, so we will start again. I will do tom, but everybody takes a shot!
I think we should have one disney Q and one real life Q. What do you think?

So...

1) What is your favourite part of the ship(if youve not sailed which part are you looking forward to most?)

2) What do you do for a living/suport disney cruise addiction(if youve not sailed before,it soon will be!)

OK Im doing this for me and Dan (welshwizurd) as he can't be bothered to log in!

1. My fave part is actually the Promanade Lounge! I love being in here watching the world go by. Dan's most looking forward to seeing the entrance bit infront of Lumiere's as I keep going on about it lol

2. I'm a Civil Servant working at producing Statistics in the UK (very boring). Dan works in IT as a database manager

Well, its obvious we have to tell them what they like:lmao: anyway.
All the answers are great, I want to be there now.

SARAH, where do you work? I think you work on getting your post count up;)

Let's see:idea:
For me favourite part would be deck 10 looking off the bow. I like watching as we come into ports.

As for supporting Disney: That would be a couple things. First (but not the biggest support) I teach recreational Scuba diving. To identify the primary source I am going to defer back to an earlier post. My job gives me front row seats to the greatest circus in the world. LIFE. I am a police officer with our local service. Specifically, I am in the Marine and Dive Unit. So, I get to spend 2/3 of my life on or under the water.

Hey, I take offence to the that. Well at least till my DW reads the post and agrees with you and tells me I am wrong. :lmao:

My favorite part of the ship is the secret deck on 7 in the front of the ship.

I pay for my addiction as a medical assistant for a podiatrist

My job gives me second row seats - we certainly see people from all walks of life !!

That must be really cold working as a diver in Canada -will make a welcome change for you to dive in the Caribbean !! Sounds an exciting job though!

Ah ha I knew someone had mentioned this before! Sorry I got the name wrong just remembered someone on here had priced up a flight to Barcelona via Heathrow and it had been a mad difference in prices!

No problems. :hippie: However, after all that, looks like we can travel from Glasgow for much cheapness (compared to flying from our local airport) so I think we'll make the 4 hour drive down to save some ££/$$ for spending on the cruise! :goodvibes

Tink too, I am just leaving it, I was more worried about everybody else cancelling and not booking stuff with them, that would def put them out of business! Thansk for your kind words and hugs!

I've seen in the press that Globespan are denying any problems - here's hoping everything is peachy now. :)

I still need to take care of shipping a box... no one seems to know about that... Hopefully the HI will accept one for us... If not, how will I ever get all my FE gifts to Spain AND avoind excess luggage charges... I am not sure that there is enough Pixie Dust for that... :tink:

For those thinking about shipping boxes out to Spain from the US do also bear in mind that you make incur additional import duty charges, which would be payable in Spain. I've imported items from the US and had them held at the local office until I went and paid the excess duty.

Su - I have to agree with gpb1 on this. Shipping a box to a "foreign" country can cost $$$$ as is, but once it arrives at it's destination, there will possibly be import tax to be paid before the post office will release it.

Just remember that the airline's 3oz limit for liquids only applies to items in your carry on. You can pack any size of toiletries you may require in your checked luggage. :thumbsup2

Sarah, its so funny, when the bells go, everybody kisses/hugs says happy new year, we say

Were going on a disney cruise this year!!:woohoo:

I might just stay up until midnight this year for this!!! :woohoo::yay::dance3:

Staying up until midnight is mandatory in Scotland so we can celebrate Hogmanay. :cool1:

1) What is your favourite part of the ship(if youve not sailed which part are you looking forward to most?

I loved the whole ship - but highlights for me were the loungers on Deck 4, Lumiere's and the Walt Disney Theater. :goodvibes DH loved the fact that he was on the ocean but didn't have to work. DD8 loved the Goofy Pool. :cutie:

2) What do you do for a living/suport disney cruise addiction(if youve not sailed before,it soon will be!)

I work in a Solicitors office on the property side of things. DH is a fisherman.

So thats the Royal Fleet Auxiliary right? So does that mean he was on a ship ?
yip/
Let's see:idea:Yes, he was on a ship.A big one! but not the magic!

Oh, Ive spoke to you before about stuff, my Dad has a motor cruiser, where does your hubby fish from again? Whats he saying about all the stuff last week re new quotas ? I dont understand it, Dad was going on about it though.
Does he watch the deadliest catch? :worship:

I should have said, LEn works for the council, environmetal services, rubbish and recycling and stuff like that.
Im not sure where his fav part of the ship is, Probably anywhere it is sunny and he can get french fries!

OK - I'll join in

1) - Just sitting on deck 9, chillin out and watching the jumbotron as we sail to our next port.

2) - Rick is a technical advisor working for the BBC and I work in Administration for a local council.

If you've ever seen Trawlermen, then you've seen DH's home port - PD. ;) Yes, we know some of the "stars" of the show. No, my DH has never been on it.

The quota thing is always an issue - the powers that be just change the rules up a bit now and again. Scientists have sailed with DH before to allow them to evaluate/estimate the "stock" available.

Does he watch the deadliest catch? :worship:

Yes he does sometimes - but those guys are obviously using a different style of fishing than our fleet here in the UK do. And although it does get very cold up here, DH has never had to use their boat as an ice-breaker as the North Sea doesn't freeze over like the Berring Sea does. :goodvibes

2) I am a reservations team leader with a big international airline and DH is a Probate lawyer

I love sitting in the Cove Cafe and of course, the visiting the Spa Villa with my DH. DH loves the three story atrium with the Mickey statue for taking pictures.

My DH is the breadwinner as I am retired. John is an inventor (holder of 24 patents) and a VP of Marketing for a semiconductor company. Can you tell how proud of him I am?
