Yesterday the Oasis of the Seas encountered 60 foot waves as it crosses the Atlantic to Ft. Lauderdale. It's arrival is now delayed two days.

I would hate to see our cruise arrive two days late.

Were trying to get Virgin for the 8th from Orlando but they still haven't released them! Can't even get a none rewards flight lol.

We're trying next week for ours.

Put it all in prospective. Being on the Magic with all your friends, entertained by Disney, not having to cook or clean for two weeks and not having to entertain the lil ones (if any are around) since they are Disney's problem now.. Compared to being stuck at home in a (insert applicable bad weather here), can't watch TV cuz the power is out (no entertainment), having to cook and clean, keeping kids entertained.

Bring on the bad weather. Besides we can come up with new games on board. For example when the boat is rocking we can all gather on one of the upper decks with office chairs (they ones with rollers). The goal would be getting from the starting line to the lobby without getting out of the chair. It would be like a human pinball machine

My favourite game on the EBTA was watching the idiots with cameras get drenched trying to photograph the waves in the pools! Saw so many people getting covered! It was great fun!

Hi Sarah, have you tried phoning the frequent flyer number. I noticed as well that even though the calender on the book flights page is up to date, when you try it says sorry no flights available for your dates. Good luck.

There seems to be a problem with Virgin and their releasing of flights from Orlando to Gatwick. They have no flights showing after 24th September 2010. We got our upper class reward flights booked from Miami now instead, but will switch to Orlando when VA get their act sorted out. I've got the people on the frequent flyer help desk to report the MCO-LGW issue and they are looking into it.

Oasis of the Seas is a big ship and the Magic isn't!!! I always said I wouldn't sail the Atlantic in anything but a liner, a ship designed for it. What am I doing??????????

Yeah booked our hotel prior to cruise. Getting excited like we are leaving next month. LOL. Now just have to book our flights. Wish some good deals would come up flying from the US.

Anyhow, we will be flying out of LAX and were wondering if anyone else has booked out of there yet? Our TA quoted us $525 each and I thought that was decent but we are short on money right now and I'm hoping we can get something similar after Christmas. What do you guys think? Will it get any cheaper?

One can always save room when it comes to underwear. Wear it once then turn it inside out and wear it again

Actually you it depends on change with the others in your stateroom - Fred swaps with Mary, Mary swaps with Bob etc

Or you could go with the camping underwear rule, one right way round, once inside out, once then wear it backwards inside and out - 4 wears that way - works better with granny panties than a thong

On the serious side, one tactic is to take old undies and just throw them away to leave room for souvenirs, etc.

The image flashed through my mind to leave them in the fish extenders as "gifts"

Dumb question alert:

How many times will we have to go through customs if we connect in European city, then on to Barcelona? I am concerned about going through customs during a layover. We are sure that we will have to connect somewhere in Europe ie Paris.
