Don't panic! Youll be able to book soemthing! Everyone can only book 1 dinner 1 brunch and 1 tea at most in advance. Even if you can't book it in advance they save a certain number for on the boat. We couldn't get tea booked on the EBTA last time and then when onboard we managed to get it sorted! We were waitlisted initially and then they called and said we have a spot for you so really not an issue.

Thanks, I suppose thats the joy of a longer cruise, More days to choose from! Luckily for me, If I don't manage to get a booking....I've never been...so I don't know what I'm missing :goodvibes.

LOL I know what you mean. The food in the normal restaurant is so nice I don't think it really matters. I'm more excited about lunch in Lumieres (is it that or Tritons on here? I can never remember!). Love their sit down lunches!

Looks like some cruisers for this quarter are getting Fuel Surcharge back! Fingers are still crossed we will too! Ours gets looked at on the 17th June!

Me too , and the breakfats, our first cruise , I ever even knew you could do this!

Gibraltar-- Excited to hear about the Marks & Spencer and Tesco. I loved wandering the grocery aisles while we were in London. I know, I'm strange:laughing:

Just hope we can find the time for a proper pub with proper Guiness. Tried one out of a bottle here over the holidays and ended up throwing it out. It was that bad.

Sounds like a lot of people are interested in lunches at Lumieres. Should we just set a time for lunch for all the sea days and people that are interested should show up then?

Or should we just make it one or two of the days?

Checked the EBTA for grins last night and the cat 12 is going for $799!!!

Do you think ours will go that cheap?

My cabin would have been about $80 pp less than our price.

You have your pick of 7 cat 9 rooms in the center of the ship on deck 2. Sounds like there are a lot of empty rooms.

I just checked availability for the WBTA and there are GTYs available in every category 11-4. I'm thinking we're much less likely to get additional discounts with that kind of availability, unfortunately. I was initially booked on the EBTA but the dates didn't work for me - figures that it's even cheaper now!

Whats the last film you watched and did you enjoy it?

We went to see Sherlock Holmes last Saturday night and I loved it. Brilliant film.

There was talk of a scrap book meet, and I know we will want to do a group meet at the very beginning of the cruise.

Is there any interest in other meets? Kids meet (all ages)? Tea? One of the tastings? Large group for Palo dinner or brunch? (Don't know how hard that would be). Anything else? Do we want to link reservations at some point so we are sitting close to each other, or will that just be too much DIS in one area? :)

It’s evident that we are too spread out to do a pre cruise meet somewhere. However, there seem to be a few of us that will be in Barcelona at least a day ahead of time. Does anyone want to do a pre cruise mini meet then?

If we have interest, I can ask Glenn to figure out how to get it on the website... (Sorry, I volunteered you for even more...)

Sue

I would definitely be interested in a scrapbook meet if that goes ahead as I would love to meet up with experienced scrappers.

I hope some of us will be able to link our dining nearer the time as that would be really good.

On our last cruise DH did the beer tasting and really enjoyed that. I know he would be interested to do that again with anyone else who would be interested. That is booked once you get on board so you would just have to decide on a day and time and all book the same one.

We would love to meet up in Barcelona perhaps for drinks or something the evening before we cruise. That would be a lovely idea.

That would be great .... more money to spend on board on pins and cocktails

I know I would not comit to lunch at a certain times. Thats what i love, the flexabilty on hols, We just tended to make random bfast and lunch dates around the ship:goodvibes, maybe one day though would be good. Of course who cares what i think:rotfl:

Sarah, I cant wait to see Sherlock holmes I am a very big rdj fan

There is a pub opposite Marks in a little like courtyard bit that served guiness and it was the British stuff not American like on the boat (sorry it doesn't taste the same)! They also served Magners from what I understand.

Actually this makes it more likely! On the EBTA last time they reduced the prices about 3 weeks before the cruise due to so many rooms being available. I booked the cruise 8 weeks out and then phoned and sorted the reduction as an OBC! If the price online drops for ours its worth phoning and asking them to discount it.

Just be careful as you need to remember that the Fuel Surcharge may be on your current price but that the price online now will not include this.

What a difference a week makes! Looks like they either hid some availability or more people canceled cause I checked last week and they were only showing 4-7 CAT's available.

We also did the beer tasting and it was really fun and we learned alot. A few months ago we had a beer tasting here at our home for a few friends. They said it was the most fun party. :woohoo:

We also have done the martini tasting and that too is great fun. We may do both again this cruise.

A meet in Barcelona for drinks evening before sounds great to us as well!

Cider - now you have my attention. Granted I would prefer Strongbow or Scrumpy Jack. Cider is not that popular in the states, but getting there. Trader Joe's carries some that is pretty good (Newton's) or I go to BevMo for Woodchuck.

Ive been eading up on gibraltar tonight, it is tax free, they have supermarkets near port (safeways and tesco) hich is handy for replenishing wine stocks:laughing: I am looking forwrd to all the ports, Hey its Monday

Who is going to do the question of the week? me miss ,me
I will do one, someone else has to do a disney one.

Whats the last film you watched and did you enjoy it?

I was forced to watch the new star trek and I have to admit it was pretty good( but I dont like star trek)

Snow has cleared somewhat in London, but we're expecting more tonight.

I've still got UP to watch...perhaps this weekend. I had to sit through Start Trek for the 3rd time this Christmas. It was a good film, but not worthy of 3 viewings.
