i get back to work today and got a bunch of bad news. our saturdays was taking from us, back to 40 hour weeks. than they take away our 401k match. than they came up you have to take 80 hours of vacation when they want you to take it. so i probaly wont be able to take this 24 night cruise. i need 152 hours of vacation for this cruise. i get 200 but them having us take 80 hours when they want us to take it only leaves me with 120 hours. i did the transatlantic in 2007 so the med is the priority this time, i might just be able to do the med. than since i will probaly only do the med there is no reason why i should go in sep, may 26 will be better for me.:confused3

Thats naff, Leonards work is a bit like that, more travelling, less hours and less pay.

Prob whatever is the cheapest would be as good.

I dont think we get accounts like "keep the change" in the uk?

Think that Lloyds do one of these.
We save our silver change as well, it does mount up. We are also paying off $500 when we can, but at the moment the exchange rate is terrible so it is staying in our cruise account until it improves. :scratchin

There's still time for everything to turn around but sounds like you might want to move to the may 26th med cruise if it's more convenient. We'll be sorry to see you go.

HI all,
I am back from a 4 day trip to Colordao/Wyoming to handle paperwork before the big move (Friday). Came home to find Rio had broken his wrist Friday but his grandparents subsribed to the old wives' tale that if you can move it it is not broken and did nothing about it (not even telling me). So, spent the morning at the doctor's. It is too swollen to cast but is splinted now and will be cast Wednesday. It's always an adventure around here:rolleyes:

KImberly:grouphug: I didn't quote you because it was so long, but THANKS:goodvibes

My Favorite - Cinderella - BTW when I went to the Grand Floridian for lunch last week they had the coach out with the horses riding around the resort. I was able to take some pictures.
I'd love it if yo uwould post a photo:thumbsup2
Hey everyone...I had a funny dream last night about this cruise, and when I woke up one thing that I remembered was that I was telling people that this was a "Mediterribbean" cruise! Mediterranean + Caribbean! LOL :lmao: :beach:
LOVE that:upsidedow
Seaspray - I just booked my tickets on JetBlue! THANK YOU! I was going back and forth of what we were going to do. If I took USAir, I would have to stop in Charlotte and if I took Southwest, I fly into Providence and rent a car for a few days - which is more money. Anyway, THANKS!

QUOTE]
Sandi I do hear good things about Jet Blue so I think you did well. I know you come to Boston often so for future reference, you can fly Southwest into MHT (Manchester, New Hampshire) which is about 45 minutes North of Boston. The airport offers a fee and well run shuttle to/from Boston so you do not need to rent a car to get in and out of hte city (we used the shuttle to get back to MHT after the last TA--we flew one way out of there to Orlando and then 1 way INTO Boston from BCN and had to use that to get back to our car).::yes::

So sorry. This economy stikns and stuff like that is rampant. I hope that whichever cruise you end up on is loads of fun:goodvibes

ya i hate to let this cruise go the economy has them worried but they say they are going to keep the 80 hours of vacation time when they want us to use it even when the economy picks up. we will get our 401k match back what they say anyway when the economy picks back up.

Oh the poor love, tough love? Send our love all the way from Scotland:flower3:

Good thing Disney doesn't mind us bringing our own alcohol on board. Are there any duty free shops in Barcelona? Or is it not too expensive at a regular shop near the port?

Plenty of places on the "La Rambla" to buy and at good prices , just dont wait till Sunday to buy when none of them our open like I did last trip ...but plenty of places to buy in Gibraltar as well ...lol

:lmao: No. I'm not in denial. I am not. :lmao:

i get back to work today and got a bunch of bad news....

Oh I'm sooooo sorry to hear this. I agree with Melodie though. Things can change between now and then, including a new job may fall in your lap. You never know! If I were you, I wouldn't cancel either just yet. Hang in there! Regardless, you do know that one fabulous cruise is in your future!

.... Came home to find Rio had broken his wrist Friday but his grandparents subsribed to the old wives' tale that if you can move it it is not broken and did nothing about it (not even telling me). ....

Hmmm....I'm thinking I remember a similar story regarding Marika some time ago when she went to visited the grandparents. That stinks he's in this position while you guys are making this transition. Big Hugs to Rio!

LOL! I can relate! I *hate* Kim, but love the name Kimberly. If someone calls by "Kim" in a room, I don't even think someone's talking to me! :upsidedow I'm not trying to be rude. It's just not my name, so I don't even consider that person could be speaking to me. It's instinctive I suppose.

LOL! I do the exact opposite - my "real" name is Lorraine but I've been Lorri since the day I was born. The only time I was ever called Lorraine was by a few teachers in school and my mom when I was in trouble (though it was then usually the full LORRAINE HOLLY!).

LOL! We did have some really good tequila though!!

I would have to say that over 75% of our bill was bar related. I am definately bringing a lot more on board this time!

I'm so sorry about Rio's wrist! I know how painful it can be - when I was 12 I broke/fractured all the bones in my wrist (apparently there are quite a few).

Good luck with the big move on Friday! Let us know when you get settled in.

I'll bring the rolling cooler with me and stock up on Friday!
