Sept 18 2010 WB TransAtlantic Pirates/Capt Jacks Re-Repoing Repossession Cruise Pt.10

I just wanted to send a heartfelt thank you to all of you for making our trip a dream come true. It was wonderful meeting so many of you!!!!

Thanks go out to all of my fellow Coconuts for the wonderful FE gifts we received. I hope you'll remember our adventure fondly when you listen to the music CD.

Special kudos go out to Sue, Sarah, Jason, Erik, Sarah and Corinna.

Sue: You're a marvel! You prove that yes, you can do it all AND enjoy your vacation, too!

Sarah: Brilliant job on the Navigator! Well done!!!!

Jason and Erik and the lanyard team: Thank you so much for the nametags and lanyards. They are treasured keepsakes of our trip.

And Sarah and Corinna: Thank you for all of your time and effort that went into the scavenger hunt. We had a wonderful time doing it and will treasure all of the special photos that we took along the way!

One last shout out to the wristband team. Thanks you, thank you, thank you!!! I hope I didn't miss anyone else.

Until we meet again,

OK finally caught up and last load of the washing is in the machine.

We had a fantastic time and thanks to everyone who made our holiday so special! There are so many of you that I just can't believe I didn't even see on the cruise but those I did made it even more special and hopefully those I didn't aren't offended that we didn't catch up with you.

We had a wonderful time in WDW too going on all the rides and enjoying the sunshine. Today in South Wales its sunny and fairly warm but coming in on Saturday to cold rainy weather was a shock to the system.

The only downer regarding our holiday was the baggage issue in Port Canaveral. When we got to WDW we unpacked one case to move stuff around and found that my DCL Beer Stein was smashed into around 40 peices and my Pirate Night light up glass was crushed along the bottom. One of the Castaway Club champagne flutes was also cracked down the middle. So not happy and can't get a clear answer from DCL as to whether I can claim for this or just for the cases. DOES ANYONE KNOW? The case isn't damaged and so can't claim for that.

Anyway everything else made it back in one peice so all good. Just waiting on food shopping now which is due any time.

Also depending on your travel insurance, if you had any you may be able to put a claim in with them.

I may be up for a meet in the Philly area, depending on the day and time and my work schedule.

I am still adjusting to being back at work and getting caught up since I was out so much between the surgery and the trip.

Hey everyone! I've been back for a week and too depressed to login.
It was great getting to meet everyone and I am so glad to make friends from across the world. Noel, thank you for hooking us up with Min Yu and his family in Madeira.
The drink tastings were fantastic and seeing everyone with a lanyard or the transatlantic t-shirt was such a great conversation starter. It was amazing how many of us were in Disney world last weekend.

It was such a great time, I don't know how I can ever top it.

The drink tastings were fun, weren't they?!

Hey All

I'M HOME

just spent 8 days enjoying "The World" now back to reality :sad2:

I had the most amazing trip ever, Abby and I both agreed that the best thing about the cruise was the people we met, seems all those hours of reading endless pages was really worth it.

:goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes

Hey Andrea

"ditto" on the table mates, I loved sharing a table with you 4 for the trip

What a disaster to come home to i'm so sorry :sad2:

I hope you manage to get on top of it all super soon, and knowing you I KNOW you will.

To all my table mates..... and all my tablemate neigbours, thanks for such wonderful dinning room times, they really are some of my fondest memories...

Got to sort out my Piccies and i'll be sure to write a brief review of my time at WDW.

Thanks again to all those i toured with, met, smiled shared time with.

You all made my very first Disney cruise SO SO magical.

Welcome home!!!! I can't tell you how many people I have told about the Ultimate Disney Trivia and some of the crazy questions we learned the answers to! Like Leah... LOL!!!

I need to get myself to bed soon - I have to be at work at 6am tomorrow morning.

The last couple of days have been interesting. My great aunt who is 92 was put in the hospital on Thursday with a perferated bowel (not sure if I spelled that correctly or not). Anyway, because of her age there is no chance at this point that she is going to survive this. My mom and I visited her on Friday in the hospital and Friday night they moved her to hospice. I was there on Saturday and again today and she is going quickly. Her one grand daughter is playing music from the 1940's in hopes that when she passes, she can dance to heave with her husband who passed away a few years before I was born. The hospice nurses said it would be maybe 24 hours this morning, but she's in a coma. It's just sad to see her like this. She lived a good long life, but it's still sad and hard regardless. :(

On a much happier note, Dave and I will be celebrating our first wedding anniversary on Sunday! :)

So sorry to hear about your great aunt. It does sound like everything is very peaceful for her and pain free. What a lovely idea about the 40's music.

I'm working on my pictures and starting to sort through all the "stuff" I brought home.

Wanted to say a big THANKS to all of the Scrapbook Exchange group (Dee, Annie, Noel, Kimberly, Brenda, Sarah, Sandi, Melodie, Wanda, Sue, Sarah, and Janice)!!! All the stuff is wonderful and so varied!!!

A special THANKS to Sandi for organizing the Exchange--it was a great idea!

Now I need a little MAGIC :wizard: to find the time to turn it all into spectacular scrapbook...

Andrea

Hi Andrea, so lovely to meet you and Greg! Thank you again for Becky's sweet present too

It was really nice to know our neighbors. You were such a sweet couple. So glad to have met you!!!

Aw, thank you!

Glad to see so many still posting. I still need to upload my pics to flicker will do.

I want to know who I call at DCL to complain about a piece of lugguage I purchase on board. It was the DCL carry on that costs $99.95. It is a piece of junk. The plastic that gives it form all craked and went to pieces. I think it has sat way to long on board and the plastic lost its flexiblity. I am not happy.

How do I go about getting a new one. Any one have any experience in this area.

Thanks.

I thought of insurance but my excess out weighs the glass. I was hoping that DCL would have let me buy a new one and pay for shipping but no!

I'm back in work now and its so hard adjusting just being away for 3 weeks so it must be even worse for you!

Hope she's spared the suffering soon! Hang in there! Big hugs coming your way! No matter how it happens its hard but you just have to think about the good times and that she'll be with her husband again!

I think if you contact Lost&Damaged property they might be able to help or email DCL and they can tell you who to talk to!

Mum and I arrived back home on Sunday morning after a week at my villa.

What an amazing cruise! great weather, smooth seas beautiful ports and the most amazing group of people. Thank you to everyone who helped make it such a memorable trip.

We had fantastic dinner companions, tasting buddies, excursion friends and enjoyed meeting with everyone, just sorry we didn't have time to get to know more people.

Meal times will never be the same again, Marc & Michael, Pat & Tom and Jan & Karl thanks for the laughter.

Special thanks to our MNSSHP guides, Amanda & Annette, we hope you enjoyed it as much as we did.

We would love to cruise with everyone again soon.

Sarah - count us in for a UK meet.

The last few days have been very depressing, at least we have only 5 weeks on Friday until our next trip, just don't know how I'm going to fit any work in!

:grouphug: to everyone, Sarah & Elizabeth

Wishing you both a happy first anniversary for Sunday ... it was our 8th today and we both forgot :laughing:

I soooooo wish we could do that!:sad1:

We just need to find somewhere fairly central to us all .. I'm sure it can be done Mandy!

Ruth,

You should be able to contact WDW Merchandising and they will be able to get in contact with the ship. We had a problem with a framed DCL print we bought on the ship a few years ago and DCL replaced it for us. They were very helpful and nice about it too.

How are you and Glenn? :) We miss our dinner time fun!!

Sounds like a plan!!!! If I'm invited, of course... ;)

Welcome home Sarah and Elizabeth .... where are you going to in 5 weeks .. another cruise?
At the moment no, we're going back out to the villa for 3 weeks, we have to get our Christmas shopping done :woohoo:. It's bliss in the sunshine without the crowds. We have been looking at a 4 day wonder cruise, as we are going to give it to my sister as an engagement present but she commented they couldn't afford a cruise, so may be may be not who knows. She doesn't know we are looking to give it her as a gift!

Sue if we do book I'll let you know and we can change Stephen's shirt for you if you don't get sorted before then.

Forgot to say a big thank you to the Strawberry Fe group for the great gifts and to everyone who took part in the candy swap, we are still munching our way through them.
