Emily,

I saw your ticker on the Disney Wonder. I've booked it too!!!!! Seems funny to have a cruise leaving one year later on the exact same DATE (September 17th)! I'm only in a Cat 4, hoping for a Cat 3 (on some type of waitlist for it). Called the 1st day! WOO HOO!!!!! What Cat did you book this time?

Sweet Sue :-)

I drive a 2000 Lexus ES300. Bought while I was still pregnant with Christina and too stupid to know how broke I'd be after she was born! My now 5 year old car will continue to age gracefully until I have no choice but to replace it with something more practical like a minivan. Never thought I'd ever want a minivan. Kids do change you!

Sweet Sue

I think everyone drives the kind of car that matches their cyber personality! Jen, OK I can play your game too........I think you would drive something practical, yet sporty. Not a minivan, but something that is in the medium to large range on a van/truck frame.

Jen, I would say you were pretty close on me except for a few minor details (like brown hair, I am not sure what my color is called these days lol) and Jenny that is funny about the glasses since I only wear them at work!

Four weeks from today we will be getting ready for take off out of Columbus!!

Our cars:

Me: Honda Odyssey
DH: GMC Yukon XL

Okay we are way too much alike...
ME: Honda Odyssey
DH: GMC Tahoe
DS and DD "ME CRAZY"... get it.. .they drive me crazy :rotfl2:

Finally got two dresses for formal and semi formal night. I got an awesome deal but need to get both of them altered. Can't pass up the price even if I need to get work done on them. I know I will save in the long run. I ordered DS a vest/tie set on line today. Need to get shoes for kids, and 5 more outfits for me and I am done.

I will worry about packing the week of. I can't get that organized.

Okay, here's the million dollar question! What type of dress is everyone wearing for formal night? Long dresses? Cocktail length? Boycotting it altogether and eating at the buffet? :rotfl2: (That's my DB if DNana will let him get away with it).

I've got two very nice cocktail dresses that look brand new. I HATE to spend money on something I will never wear in South Florida (dress up means you wear sandals with strappy heels :rotfl2: ).

What about the kids? We don't HAVE dressy dresses in South Florida this time of year. I looked too late after Easter. DD has about 5 dresses that are long but would be considered "sundresses" in any other part of the country (they are sleeveless).

For those of you that have been, how cold are the dining rooms? Do you freeze in short sleeves or sleeveless? Should we all bring our parkas? :teeth:

Well, all for now. I'm making up for lost time since I've been gone so long. :badpc: are being quiet so far tonight so maybe I'll be lucky and can have some fun OUTSIDE of this crazy new job!

I can't believe the cruise starts FOUR WEEKS FROM TOMORROW!!!! :Pinkbounc  :bounce:

Sweet Sue - counting the :hourglass until we go...

I really drive a mini van!!! :earseek: Not what I would choose to drive but I long ago decided that my favorite kind of car is a paid off one. I am starting to get an itch for a convertible. (refer to weather in COLO). I need a car that I can get my kids and there friends around and I am to cheap to buy an SUV.
I am wearing a black dressy knee length formal and the purple on in the picture on my signiture if I can get it on. I may only bring one, as we are packing for two weeks, etc. DS andDH are wearing suits and Natalie has tons of dressy dresses and a sleeping beauty costume. I got nat's dresses at Dillards, Sue.
Don't forget to send me brief descriptions of your children that they would want other kids to see. That way you can look up their age and they can read about what other kids their age like.

Can someone tell me what the measurement was for the cabin door?? I know this has already been answered but.......I can't find the post on it. We're making our door signs this weekend and I don't want to make them to big. :rotfl: Which at this point could possibly be my luck!!! :paw:

Thanks

The dress I have is knee lenght, but want a new one that's a little more formal looking but knee length. I agree we also live in Florida and it cannot be long, I'd never wear it again. Bottom line is I need to go shopping!!!! Quit talking about it and just do it!!!! :rotfl: But soooo afraid when I start....I might not stop :rotfl: I'm not an active shopper so I am wayyyyyy over due. Just practicing on my speech to DH. :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Love Tammy's excuse for buying too much! Fortunately, I only have to sell the excuse to myself! Single Motherhood does have it's benefits.

Sounds like I'll be good with the dresses I have. Now I can spend money on something else!

As for DD's little line, let's see:
DD4, Christina, loves PEOPLE, will greet, hug and kiss anyone that asks - and even those that don't! She loves painting, coloring, buildling with block and Legos, reading (okay, being read to), swimming and playing with her friends! She flys downhill in her bright yellow sports car walker and "sits" on the back to be pushed uphill!

GUESS WHAT I JUST GOT - A UPS DELIVERY FROM DCL WITH MY CRUISE DOCUMENTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
GOTTA RUN AND READ THEM!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :Pinkbounc  :bounce: :Pinkbounc

Sweet Sue

Karen (Skycon)... that is too funny that we have the same kind of cars. (Insert Twilight Zone music) Even our kids drive the same thing! :rotfl:

My dress is long... probably near ankle-length (I don't know for sure, since it isn't here yet). Black and gold glittery, v-neck with sleeves to the elbow. I don't own a pair of heels, so I will probably have to go shopping for some before the cruise.

Dh will wear a jacket and tie. Emily has a dressy dress we found at Penney's for $50. The boys will wear nice pants and shirts... maybe ties if I find time to look for some. Halle will either wear the white dress she wore as a flower girl this past May or pretty peach colored sundress with matching bloomers. Or if I just happen to see something pretty and cheap before the cruise... a new dress.

Docs are already showing up!! WOW... it is getting close!!! Hope mine come soon!! I'm excited to see what all is in it! :cool1:

I put another page in. A hidden page...ohhhhhh. Double click on the painted Flip Floppin Castaways sign on the home page. I'm sure there are errors...be sure and send them to me and I will update.

Jen,

As always, a GREAT job! Having all the info right there is really great. Now can you print it for us to have on the cruise? I have early seating for dinner. Why don't you switch the St. Thomas and St. Maarten columns so they are the same order we visit the ports?

Sweet Sue

Good afternoon! I FINALLY have a cabin #. It is 7616. When I went on the DCL earlier, it was finally there. The TA prob called and told them to post it just so I'd stop calling them! Does anyone know if there is a laundry room on deck 7?? I got roses this morning from my hubby for our anniv. :flower: So far it has been a good day. -Donna

Hi all, I have been lurking on this thread for about a week. We will be sailing with you. Our group consists of 5 families. We all booked last minute. I couldnt help but notice Tia's post. When I booked last week they gave me cabin number 7616. When I checked this morning and I was upgraded to a catagory 5 cabin. Not sure how I got so lucky. I was soooo excited this morning.
I can't wait. This is the closest I ever booked a cruise but I kinda like not having to wait a whole year or more. The next 4 weeks will fly by!

Hi Ellen, glad you decided to join us!!!

We're getting cruise doc's already!!!! I wonder if my parents got ours yet?

For formal night, I'll be wearing a formal, floor length dress. At least I know I'll be wearing it again, since I already told DH that I would wear it next year also. I have another floor length dress for Palo and I'm still thinking about semi formal night. So I'll have 3 dresses with me, plus two pairs of heels for dinner.

Later everyone,
Emily
