Sept 17 2005 Magic - am i alone on the ship?

Crhristal, That is exciting. I think we can all agree you may purchase the house as long as WE don't suffer for it. You can't just renig your responsiblities to us because of something you are getting for yourself. That you be selfish. We need are little dose of Christal. Sorry!
:rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl:
Really, it's all about me! ;) :cool1:

KD, I have seen little black book. Cute movie! Haven't seen office space though. On my todo list.

Christal- that is great news about the house and the job, I sure hope everything comes together. And if you make Jen suffer a little so be it, she can handle it :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I know Trisha's quote "I gotta get me one of these" but I will let others figure it out since I live with her and it was easy for me.

Never saw Office Space, but I guessed it might be that one because of the stapler remark.

I'm sure you don't mean make me suffer! I don't suffer in silence...and I have your home, cell and business phone numbers...Steve! :cool1: :teeth:

Congrats to Trisha, who correctly guessed The Money Pit for the we have stairs quote. Way to go! And my guess: Independence Day.

And Jen, since no one else guessed it, you were right about the one about there was no Aaron. Primal Fear, a very good psychological mess-with-your-head thriller.
Tammy, I didn't post it but you were right about A Christmas Story. Classic!

And the one about hitting with a hammer - Emperor's New Groove. Great Disney flick. Love it, love it, LOVE IT!

Wendy, glad DD is feeling better.

Skycon, were you the one debating the passport application? I just sent mine in yesterday with the full knowledge it takes up to 6 weeks. That makes it Sept 6, which is still about 10 days early, so I'm not worried. If they take too long, I'll just request a new copy of the BC.

Steve and Brad, good to have some testosterone thrown into the mix. Did I spell that right? testosterone: "I-P-R-E-T-E-N-D-I-A-M-A-S-L-E-E-P-W-H-E-N-A-N-E-M-O-T-I-O-N-A-L-C-O-N-V-E-R-S-A-T-I-O-N-S-T-A-R-T-S... how'd I do? Just kidding fellas! Don't flog me!

Got our DCL cruise planning DVD today. Woo hoo!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cristal, congrats on the house. And are you the one with longer dark hair or shorter spikier hair? Clear it up for me, wouldja?

Jen, I still have a copy of your magnet sign; I'll print it out and bring with me to the ship. :)

New quote (for those interested and who still care and need an easier one): "Get away from me, you d*** dirty ape!"

Umm, I think that's all from me. "And in case I don't see ya, g'dafternoon, g'devening and g'dnight!"

Ah, I know that one... but I'll give someone else a chance.

No takers on my last entry (a bajillion pages ago!)? Let me add a little to it:

First guy: "You can't take guns into a temple. It's a holy place."

Second guy: "See these guns? They're holy guns... they make a rather big holey. Get it? Holy?"

Karen, apparently I'm not very generous (although I just got off the phone with my pastor who thanked me for having such a "giving heart" - awwww :goodvibes) because I want to guess! I've never seen this movie, but I'll take a wild guess - Monty Python and the Holy Grail?

Had a funny a couple of minutes ago. So okay, this summer DSis and I rented "Open Water" from Netflix. GOOD movie, I think it would freak out anyone who goes into the ocean anytime, anywhere, um, ever. Yeah. So basically the premise is these two snorkerls get left behind because the operators of the boat miscount.

Anyways, since we're doing the Golden Eagle Catamaran, I told DSis, "We need to be witty, and clever - memorable - so we don't get left behind when we do the excursion at St. Maarten."

Her response: "I'll wear a bikini."
:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I love my older sis! She has such a dry, quick wit! She's a blast. A bit of wallflower in groups, so I don't know how much you'll all get to experience this, but I hope to encourage her to let loose!

Anyways, thought a few of you could appreciate this joke. :)

Apparently this is a new breed of marine life. :confused3 ;) :rotfl2:

Oh, good guess... but nope. I guess I could give a hint. It's a Jackie Chan movie. (Now where's a ninja smilie when you need one?)

Too funny! Lord knows that certainly would make *me* an unforgettable sight. I'm afraid if I wore one there would be a run on the ship's pharmacy for anti-nausea medication!

Karen

You guys are so funny! I love reading these posts!

Yes! Office Space...If you have not seen it, you MUST!!! You absolutely MUST!!! You won't regret it!

Jen, I was pretty certain that you wouldn't ever allow yourself to suffer alone or in silence...But I will lessen your "suffering" by stopping in here more often!! :rotfl:

Jenny, your new breed of marine life...does it bite? Should we avoid it if we see it in the water? :rotfl2:

Oh, and I am the one with the longer dark hair in the pic, and JenA is the one with the spikey hair. Hope that clears it up for ya. ;)

I was just sitting here thinking of how much fun it would be to try and tell a story with as many emoticons as you can use... :rotfl2: Maybe I have too much :hourglass on my hands this eveing... :rotfl:

Anyway, good to see you all, and no news yet on the house or the job, but hopefully I'll have news soon!!

Good night!

Hi I again just got home from work and I'm very tired. Now either my brain is fried or I am stupid with this game so you all play on and I will just talk about other things. I'm very good at having a conversation with myself, I have four thick headed kids remember.

I took my daughter (8) to go school shopping today, I think she thinks that she was born a princess. What a zoo! She tried on at least 50 things and wanted it all but the first problem was that she didn't really fit into most of it but she didn't want to go up a size that she could fit into (takes after me I guess) and second I have three more to get for and I really don't make $500,000 a year, honest!

Then I take the clothes out at the cashier and find out my four year old daughter put not one but four baby dolls into the cart for me to pay for. I said no and she hid under a clothes rack and told me that she did not like me any more and I told her I didn't like her either. Will I cause her psychological problems years from now saying things like that to her? I did let her get one for her birthday in two weeks but she is not getting it until then. I will not bend at all for her on this one, I promise I won't. She is just so cute though, I couldn't believe she said that to me because she is very quiet and nice to say things like that to anyone. I guess I bend for her more not because she is the baby but because she had and still has alot of medical problems. She has a deformed hand from birth due to uterine bands that tied around her hand in utero and stopped its growth so it is all screwed up. She also is missing a part of her jaw we just found out so she will need heavy surgery probably next year. I think she is a bit delayed at learning also but she really made my family complete even though she was a surprise. See so I do cuddle her more than the others but the others protect her too. She is doing alot more with her hand then I thought she ever would so she is a fighter but her going to school next year scares me to death. Kids can be so nasty. I'm sorry I'm going on and on, i guess I'm very tired and I had a bad night at work tonight after I had an exhausting day with my daughters so I'm off to bed. Good night everyone!

Lorra

Lorra, I will make this quick as I have been up a thousand hours (18hrs) and I am tired. From my experience, at least in Colorado, at our school...kids are not cruel at all. There is a little boy without legs and with mild learning disabilities in Trenton's class and a little girl with Cerebral palsy who shakes all the time. The kids (4th grade) are wonderful with them, they push Bailey in the wheelchair when he is being fitted for new prosthetics, and treat them just like any other kid. Maybe it is because all the kids are intergrated in the school ( ISS comes into the classroom so the special needs kids aren't pulled out) but I know Trenton acknowledges that the issues exist but it is just like black hair or brown skin, the kids are who they are. It seems all the kids feel this way. I hope you have the positive experiences we have observed with your dd. I also hope the trend continues as they get older. It is refreshing from what we grew up with.
:grouphug: to everyone else...I'm so going to bed! :cloud9:

DITTO DITTO DITTO

I agree with Jen 100 %. Our classrooms are the same here and it has been a wonderful experience for my kids, who were switched from a Catholic School "white bread" atmosphere to one of many "different" (wheat bread, rye bread, sourdough bread, etc.) types of kids! I could go into so many different stories, but please don't worry too much. The kids I work with are much more accepting than I think many of us were. They are exposed, and that is the first stone we must unturn. I know easy for us to say, we are not the Mommy! Maybe some "high-seas" conseling over a few tiki drinks is what you need. I am your girl......let me know!

She will do great, be excited for her! O.K. baby going to school is tramatic no matter what so take it one day at a time!

Missy :maleficen

Missy, Wanna explain the scccaaarrrrryyyy witch next to your name :rotfl: ?

Wendy, Have a great girls weekend if I don't talk to you.
Jenny, I watch tons of movies, therapy probably wouldn't hurt me. But you, you are the queen :worship: :worship:  What I memory!
Lorra, With regards to movies....I gave you easy ones...How about ET Phone Home ;)
Brad, Good to hear from you.
Karen, Is curves producing results for you? Still wondering if I should drop my non profit (for my b**t) organization (24 hour fitness) and try something else. Is it one of those places you have to actually go to, or just by joining does the weght fall off? :rotfl2:

Morning everyone! TGIF!!!!!

Here's my movie quote for the morning: "I have to go. I'm having an old friend for dinner." Another of my favorite movies.

:maleficen (New smilie that I just had to try out.)

Emily

Emily... Silence of the Lambs. Classic line!

Jen, I don't know if Curves has made a difference yet; I've only been 6 times. But I certainly feel like I'm getting a workout. Of course, it doesn't take much to give me one.

Anyone going to see Sky High tonight? I've got some free Fandango bucks from our phone company and am thinking of getting tickets online so we don't have to wait in line.

Karen

okay pic did not show. UGH. Gotta go - I will have to figure it out Monday when I get back in town. Till then, have a great weekend and take care.

Independance Day is correct. My guess for the first quote: Tarzan? And for the second quote: Truman Show.

As you can see I did it. Thanks Jen for your help. I have to say I am not sure how I did it but I did. Thanks again.

I have to tell you about my morning. I am heading to West Palm Beach for the weekend. I brought my car in for an oil change and found out I needed new tires (they were down to 2/32 and 4/32) and new front brakes. I knew about the brakes but the tires through me for a loop. So now I am off to get my car and head to West Palm. Only 3 hours late getting started. Oh Well at least I used the time wisely. Didn't clean but I did get my signature fixed.

Take care all.
