Sept 17 2005 Magic - am i alone on the ship?

glad you liked it Jenny - after i posted i was worried it sounded wrong or not nice - it was however meant as a compliment.
my DS is very into Super Heros at the moment (esp the Incredibles) and i keep finding my self using superhero catch phrases...

so see you all at the same bat time, same bat channel for the next exciting episode tomorrow.... :teeth:

I just lost my post!!!
What I was saying was:
Michelle, I don't think Jenny and I know I, are no easily offended. You see, we think everyone completely adores us and hangs on our every word so anything anyone writes we automatically take as kindness and adoration. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Lorra, I agree with Jenny. I wouldn't even deal with changing the names (can anyone think of where this would come back to bite her?). I would just put his credit card on his room and yours on yours. As far as the kids go, that may present more of a problem. Maybe they would issue you four cards to your room...or put them on your room so they will have the same cards as you but let them sleep with Grandma and Grandpa (how did you score that gig? Yes, you can change Palo on board, it is just that they will have less of a selection as people can already book. I have heard they do save slots to be released then, though. If your reservations are linked (you can call 1-877-566-0968 to be sure) you can book a table for four (conceivably). Good luck with that, but that would enable you to book a night and your DM to book a night and both of you go both times.
The t-shirts is confusing. Apparently, (I called) they are only under the plain white t-shirts. I can always e-mail you the design (inverted) and you can print it out on copy paper (Michaels or Walmart) and put it on any shirt you want (or take it to a t-shirt place) if you want something different. Like a stated before, there is no profit in this for me....whatever is easier for you.

Tammy, I think the pixels on the shirt look good. I wished they were a little brighter but my DH said they were "bright and colorful" so I think I was just being too picky. I just went back and looked and the picture is exactly what it looks like colorwise. I think they will be good. Are we going to wear them whenever we want or have a time. I know there are some people against wearing them the first day. Any ideas?
Emily, Glad you enjoyed Charlie and the Chocolate Factory!

We kindof started this but dropped it....for fun....what are everyone's must have, top, two items on a cruise. (Don't say husband or kids...you KNOW those aren't in the top two :rotfl: :rotfl: ) :love2:

Thank you for all of your help! I want to get the t-shirts but they don't have the size for young children so maybe I will have you send me the inverted design. The only thing is, does a simple printer make a nice copy of the print? Well, I need to get out of my work clothes, I just got off. I would just like not to work but there would go all of my money for vacations so Hi Ho Hi Ho off to work I go.

I just read this at the bottom of Jennat's message. The top two things I wouldn't go without on this cruise is a stop at Castaway Cay-the last cruise couldn't dock there and a quiet vacation without kids screaming and fighting-a nice loving family.

I am happy to send you the design....just to be clear though...they DO have kids sizes, just in the white t-shirts.....here is the link.

The printer does fine as long as it is not a laser printer. Or you can just take it to a t-shirt place. I'll send it to you and you can decide.

I just sent out the list (and cmctammyg I added your e-mail) to everyone I have e-mail addresses for.....so if you didn't get it, that means I don't have your e-mail (makes sense). Use the second one as I updated Brad's stuff (timing is everything :goodvibes ). I also sent the shirt design for those who want to do it on your own. Let me know if it doesn't work, it usually takes me several times of doing something to get it right.....welcome to my world!

Hello All
Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend. It is STILL raining here. Just as Trish mentioned it is allegedly remnants of Dennis. Oh well, it gives me time to catch up on things.

Jen, the shirts look good. I have to get with DW and place the order. Thanks for doing the spreadsheet. My DD is asking about other kids to hang out with.

Jenny, I may bail out on making the sign myself and pony up the $$$ for you to make it, I'll let you know. Good job on post#1250, makes it sooo much easier to reference. Also, you mentioned something about MRS, in a previous post. What is that? I suffer from CRS. Just curious.

Tammy1-hope the party went well :wizard:

Welcome to WinMO, glad to have you aboard!! There is a lady I work with that done a dolphin encounter w/ RCCL.(not sure if it was St. Martin) She loved it.

The 2 must haves are-escargot & Palo souffle. Both food items, imagine that. I love to eat~ :mickeybar

We are growing most anxious for this trip. :thewave: Our mission this week will be to start a packing list. I swear I am not taking as much stuff as I did last cruise. I ended up wearing only half of it.

Thats all for now, I had thoughts of going for the longest post, but I know better than to challenge the 2 J's. :teeth: .

Talk to ya'll later,
BRAD

top two things...

a swimsuit for day and a pretty dress for night...

what else could you possibly need?

night all it is way past my bed time :cloud9:

or could it be a credit card and empty suit case...
well either way.

p.s. Jen can i please have a copy of the list. thanks

Hi everybody! Welcome WinMO, we have a big group from Missouri! Which always makes me say, "Rock Chalk Jayhawk!"

DD and DH's b-days went well. Now I have a whole new pack of toys I have to figure out where to put. Good problems, of course...

We saw Wedding Crashers last night for DH's b-day (thanks for the wishes, Jen & I'll e-mail you our cell phone #'s) and I laughed and laughed and laughed. Very juvenile. Just up my alley.

Have to laugh -- we don't have a separate line for our internet at home and when I'm on my DH calls my cell phone repeatedly until I answer it or get off the internet. Hmm. Guess I'll have to go shut off the cell phone. :rotfl2:

Two things I can't cruise without -- cute outfits and a camera. Top two things on the cruise -- Palo brunch and at-sea days.

I love our group and am getting stupidly exicted again. Weeeeeeee. :earboy2:

Hi everyone,

Well I had my first DCL upcoming cruise adrenaline attack last night. I was laying in bed, thinking about how this month is almost over, and next month the cruise will be NEXT month! (this is always how I've passed time - did this starting December 23 as a kid) I'm not trying to rush time, so no worries. Just got excited and actually laughed gleefully in my dark bedroom. Crazy me.

I spent $110 on office supplies today. A mini dollhouse, medical kit, play-doh, Candyland, Trouble, Jenga, bouncy balls, bubbles, hair ties, a tiara, toy soldiers, cars, etc. This is all clearly used for play therapy and prizes for making the changes I recommend. Made me miss being a kid, but working with kids is fun because I get to play too! :)

So I read a review of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory from Plugged In online (a Christian company that reviews TV, movies, music). They really liked it. They said Ronald Dahl, the author of the book, would be proud. Made me want to see it. And since I read it, instead of saying my comments, I've been SINGING them to the tune of the "Oompa Loompa" song. :rolleyes1

My must-haves... am I really limited to 2? Well, fine then, I'm smart enough I'll figure out how to get all of 'em in there... Here's my two - 1) a stateroom with verandah on a boat that lets me stop at St. Thomas so I can get to St. John and see Trunk Bay and stop at CC and parasail and hopefully get a cabana massage, and 2) eating lobster at restaurants like Palo on a Disney cruise ship that also has a pool and a theater where I can watch movies and another where I can watch stage shows. There, those are my TWO must-haves.
:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Jenny, nice way to put so much into only 2 must haves.

Hey, anyone know anything about the big announcement tonight?

Later everyone,
Emily

I am wondering if any parents in here have teen daughters, i have already contacted some people. I need someone to get to no because i want someone to hang out with!!

Please help me!! :confused3

Hey Poptart45! I don't have a teen but wanted to welcome you to our group!
Tammy, thinking of you today. Hope all went well.
I forgot to correct all the kid information before I sent it out so (Missy, Shmora, Trisha) your infor is corrected on the master list and will be on yours when I send it out in a week or so. If you want to correct it yourself (switch Braiden and Rease 7 and 4, add allison 5, and Luke 7).
Sue, where are you and how is your grandma?
Started my packing list today :cool1: ...read a site with a lot of tips and kept seeing 2.5 gallon zip locks to pack in if you don't have vacuum bags.
Lastly, it is soooo interesting to see how people interperet things....when I said two things you have to have on a cruise, I meant "things" (highlighter, nightlight...) I like the direction you all took better! :)
Sleep well ...oh and post more tomorrow. I have to use great restraint not to just post to myself on slow days...Such is the life of me! :grouphug:

I have a 13 year old daughter & a 15 year old nephew who'll be on the ship. There must be lots of teens because the Wild Side Excursion filled up fast!! Courtney (DD) is into annime, computer games, Dragon Ball Z, Harry Potter, and she loves to read... PM me & I'll send you her email address...

OK, 2 things -- sunglasses and FLIP FLOPS?! Or sunglasses and something to pull my crazy hair back with -- ponytail holder, clippy, scrunchie, whatever -- not too picky when in a panic or humidity-laden zone like the Caribbean!

I guess those are still personal items. But hey, I'm all abt me anyway so...

One more try, DD's "mimi" (her little satin blankie she needs to sleep) b/c we would get no sleep if she didn't have it and dollar bills for tipping room service.

Jen, e-mail me you list and I'll do likewise -- I think it's be fun to see what others have on their lists -- good for ideas, etc. Anyone else?

To clarify, you mean my packing list, right? I think that would be fun.
Did you get the stuff I sent to Jeff's e-mail address?

Poptart, What is your name and how old are you? Are your parents on the cruise? Tell them to pop in and say hello!

Guys don't forget to keep checking out the picture page so we will recognize each other. So far, KSUMOM, NOWORRIESMATE, TAMMY1, BAWARD, JENNAT, GETOUTTHERE AND TRISHA'SDHSTEVE, TEAFORWENDY, CHRISTAL, AND DONALDSGAL'S beautiful families are represented.

Have a good day.....

Okay, well, since my incredibly clever answer didn't include things, let me offer another answer (I like my last one, so I won't substitute this one... just add to it:) )

Two things: a camera and (less glamourous but a true must) my stomach pills so I can whatever I want and not end up sick every night).

Today is Melissa's company outing. Mini-golfing, canoeing, and go karting. We're doing the first and thired... by the time we get there, it'll be too late to canoe. She went to Michigan for the morning for her friend's son's baby dedication at church.

I'm going to read and maybe take a nap this afternoon. Woo hoo!

Yes I mean packing list -- list of extras -- etc. Stuff I plan to buy for the cruise...

Something BIG is coming into Jeff's in box, but it is taking over an hour. Is that it? I got the new list at my email.

I need to get P and I to the pool so she is worn out this afternoon -- I have real work-work to do. Drat.

Would rather make cruise related lists. So how many of those do you think I could make? A LOT!!!!!!!!

Hi, this is really Justin and he is my 15 year old son. He found out about this board and wanted to find kids his age to get to know before the cruise. I will tape him to the wall so he doesn't drive everyone nuts. :teeth:
