I'm sorry about that meant to welcome you earlier, believe it or not we are a friendly group. ..don't let my manners let you think otherwise. I was just too wraped up in myself.

Well problem is I can't go to be this early so...

Anywho, actually doing well on the monster diet thing...I haven't listened to a word of what that creature keeps trying to talk me into won't even repeat my thoughts...don't want anyone getting weak due to the voices that keep filtrating in my ear. and they are LOUD!!!!

Gosh, I've got so much to get for myself and DS....I actually need a shopping list for the stores

Has anyone put any thought into rebooking on board??????

Well I am really getting back into the excitment mode...how about everyone else :thewave:

Tammy, I am doing well on the diet thing, too. I like my new scale...ever since I bought it I am losing weight! I am going to try to be ridiculously good for just 7 weeks. We can do it. We can lose a lot of weight in 7 weeks.
I hope the tshirts are okay. If not send them back and I can e-mail it and maybe a t-shirt guy can brighten it up. The painting is really bright, don't know where all the bright went. It just looks like it has been washed once. Let me know what you think. I didn't print them so I won't take offense Besides, it is terribly hard to offend me.

Welcome to Pam and ldsxxxx (okay, so it's not on my page anymore and I can't remember a bunch of letters and numbers). Welcome to our group. We're a fun bunch of people that just don't know how to stop planning and having fun waiting for a cruise to begin.

Tammy1 - glad you got some $ back - sorry it wasn't more. When I got my $ back I ended up having to move my DM into my DB's room (my DM is a Florida resident - and native for that matter) and move my DSIL into my room.

OH NO - my DSIL is in my room!!!!! Actually, unlike everyone else in this group I have a very nice and very laid back DSIL. She had to be - she married my DB! I'd MUCH rather share a room with DSIL than DB.

Postcards and magnets: One postcard for Emily, one postcard and magnet for Tammy1, one postcard and magnet for Jennat. Leaves 4 postcards and 6 magnets.

Thanks for all of the for Gama. The funeral's Saturday so I'll be out of touch for DAYS. I imagine I'll have 100's of posts to catch up on thanks to the very funny J's, Emily, Tammy1, TeaforWendy, etc. etc. etc...

Spent hours today talking to the Disney people. Had to make reservations for Epcot Food & Wine and others. I've got August 12 - 14th, Caribbean Beach (okay, so I just couldn't wait until the cruise), October 21st - 25th at All Star Movies (for no particular reason, just because it's tradition), and November 10th - 13th at Boardwalk Villas - Food & Wine Festival - could be an issue, so I splurged for walking to the events. We're doing the Friday Lunch & Learn , then the Saturday Advanced Bordeaux Wine School then the Saturday night PARTY FOR THE SENSES . And to top off the weekend, the final event is Sweet Sunday. YUMMMY!

I am SO broke. Anyone have a penny to spare?

Glad to hear everyone's diets are going well. Mine is going well, I'm happy with what I've lost so far, still hoping for 15 pounds more though. When I go to get my dress altered in 3 weeks, I'm going to have them remeasure me so I can find out how many inches I've lost. Just got to keep watching what I eat and got to keep exercising. Little stressed out right now with work, so I think stress helps doesn't it?

Watching Family Guy right now. One of my favorite tv shows. So glad they brought it back.

I agree, Jen, a lot can be lost in 7 weeks. Gotta get busy, gotta get busy. SweetSue, I know what you mean abt spending money. An easy and tempting distraction that can be painful come settlin' up time. However, you are going to have an AWESOME late summer and fall!

I would like to rebook for the double dip next year while on-board, but DH wants to do something different next year. We'll see. IMO, it's such a great vacation. Esp since even next year, at 5yo, DD will still be too young to do much (i.e., hiking, biking, etc.) We'll see...

Tammy, remind me again the date of your anniv. I know you've told me several times, but...ours is the 20th. (Pirate Night!) And you are correct, DH wouldn't be thrilled I'm telling SIL stories.

Seems like everyone is having fun getting stuff ready. Jenny, be sure and have another B/C ready, just in case. I carry my wedding license with my passport b/c I keep forgetting to send it in to get it changed. Now, I'm afraid to do it b/c afraid it won't get back in time and too cheap to pay for the expedited service. Need money for cruise goodies. Need to remember to buy green yarn for first day wrist. Reminds me, Jenny do you want us to pay you now for signs or on the boat? If you e-mail me your address I'll pay you now and send you some green yarn for you and DSis, after I remember to purchase it.

Should go switch laundry, would rather stay and chat with myself. I'm rambling again, darn it. Ciao!

Good morning everyone!!!

Where is everyone?

Did anyone watch the shuttle launch? I was glad to see it make it back into space. Here in Huntsville, it is an especially big deal as we have NASA here too. Alot of what goes into the shuttle is developed right here. My uncle works at Cape Canaveral in the Vehicle Assembly Building, so after 2 1/2 years of alot of work getting ready for today, I know he must be relieved.

Anyone know what time the first DCL transfer leaves from the airport?

I think I need to rework my packing list again. Of course I'll probably rework it several more times, I plan on getting some more stuff, so I'll want to add that in.

Hello everyone, I have been reading about you all for quite a few months. I am very excited about our cruise, and am looking forward to meeting all of you. I am hoping that I can start puting names and faces together as I am very confused over all the dialogue going on. I will get there soon.

Let me tell you all about myself and the gang that will be tagging along.

I am Lisa, and my DH and DD and DS (now 7 and 6) cruised our first Disney back in August 2003 for our 10 year anniversary, hence the name. Had a blast, and had to do it all again. This time we are bringing along a few extra. DMIL and DFIL will be in the adjoining room. DVGF (very good friends) Wife, Husband, and 3 kids (7, 6 and 18m), along with DVGFBH (very good friends brother of husband) Wife, Husband and 3 kids (I think 10, 4, and 2). All together there will be 16. None of the others have ever Disney cruised and I have been very eager to give them the scoop.

We are all from Toronto, Canada. And yes, we are amidst the heat wave just like everyone else. Most of us are flying down the day of, while some are heading down early to visit DW. I on the other hand grew up in Florida, and unfortunately have not yet ventured to bring my kids to DW. Maybe some day.

Hi Lisa!!! Welcome to the Flip Floppin Castaways. We are glad you decided to join us. You need to get some of the other members of your group of 16 to come join too. Like Wendy said, I'm sure you know about the post with all the important info in it and you need to find one of jennat's post (or Jen as we call her) and at the bottom of her posts she has a link to a online photo album with all our pics in it, except mine b/c I don't have any to send her, that way you can see who we are. Then you can PM (private message) her a pic of your family and she will add it, so we can see you.

She also has a spreadsheet put together that has our screen name, real names, ages, email, cell #(hurricane emergency number), room #, Palo ressies, shore excursions and just about anything else. You can PM her that info also for you and the other people traveling with you and if you want a copy of it, give her your email address, and she will send you a copy and will update us also.

All the info you could possibly need is in her signature.

If you have any questions, just ask, we always answer, and we're normally a pretty busy group.

I have made and remade packing lists also, feel as if I'm getting writers cramp and for some stupid reason I don't care I'm just haveing fun writing down lists. Like when we first starting writing the letter e eeeee..oh yeah was a lot younger then. Dugh!!

Tea For Wendy, UGH!!! I hate laundry also..these people around here just wear clean clothes just so you can do laundry AGAIN...thought I had them when I told everyone to do there own...well the joke was on me every time I went in to do mine...no detergent!! No wonder my face broke out those two weeks!!!

Our anniversary is actually on 04-14-79, (well I meant 2005), anywho I thought we were celebrating our 25th Anniversary this year so I talked DH aka pirate (Mr. cheap) into this cruise, I know it's late in the year but remember Mr. cheap. Then just to have it announced in front of 100 plus people (by DSIL no less ) that we're getting so old we've lost count in years.
Did I tell you this came from DSIL?? Oh yeah... 'Course then DH turns it into a joke (before I could jump across the food table, to take care of DSIL), since he was the speaker, that I'd do anything to talk him into a DCL..etc..etc.. Well as she sits home...we'll be cruisin I know, I know that was ugly!! Sorry

Hey all..........it just took me 20 minutes to read through all of your posts from yesterday! We have a really busy week.

I had to drive yesterday to Cincinnati for a training and on the way home my AIR went out in the car!!! Just as I was reading the temp on the car thermometer at 103 degrees I heard the air conditioner pop . It did eventually come back on.



Tammy sounds like your TA trouble worked out well. That is nice, I would hate for you to take such a dream vacation and have any sour notes attatched.

I agree about the "wear what-ever-you-want" school of thought on dinner every night!! What the heck, it's your vacation. I run a middle of the road approach on most of the dress up stuff.

Hi!

I tried to make Palo reservations online and there is no longer any availability. I called Disney and they said that is correct- I'll have to try my luck when we board the ship. That is what I get for waiting so long.

Now I have to work on Shore Excursions. What are the Flip Flopping Castaways with 5-6 year olds doing?

I did not realize that you can register your kids online for the Kid's Clubs now. Does this mean that you no longer will have to do it at the Terminal where you check-in? I read a post where someone said they stood in the Kid's Club line forever.

I went out and bought the Disney Cruise Passporter Guide. LOVE IT! I have been on the Disney Wonder twice, never on the Magic and there was quite a bit of info. I found that I did not know- probably a little obvious from my questions. I highly recommend it.

If you make your kid's club ressies before you leave that does mean NO MORE LONG LINES. Makes things alot easier. Sorry you couldn't get Palo ressies online. I can't believe all of the slots are booked. They probably do hold some back, like was said before, for people without internet and stuff like that. Hopefully once we're on that big, beautiful ship, you should have no problems. Just make sure you do it first thing when you get onboard.

Isn't that Passporter guide wonderful? I love it. I know mine is going with us on the trip. I'm also taking a scrapbook with me for the cruise that I'm going to work on as we go.

WinMO- I noticed on the spread sheet list that you are from St. Peters. I was raised in St. Peters. My playground was the dirt field where Mid Rivers Mall now sits. My sisters live in Warrenton and my friend's mom still lives in our old neighborhood so I pass through there a few times a year at least.

I think the break from the heat is on its way (can I get an Amen!) tonight and I am looking forward to cooler temps. I love summer and the warmer temps but it was wearing on me. You will probably think I am weird but I would still prefer this to freezing temps.
Well, I am taking the boys to see Willy Wonka so gotta go.
