Hi everyone!
Hope everybody's having a great holiday! We are just relaxing at home. Ahhhhhh.
Our surprise went really well. All but one person made it (a cousin who was AWOL

). Grandma was really surprised as more and more of the family came walking into the sanctuary at church. Finally, when her BIL and SIL came in, who are very active at their own church, she looked at my mom and said, "HEY! Frederick and Leola just walked in. What's going on?" My uncle Paul stood up and recognized that we were all there to surprise her, and the pastor had everyone stand up who was there for her surprise. 37 people! Woo hoo! The song leader asked what her favorite song was, so during the music worship time we sang "What a Friend We Have in Jesus". She got teary-eyed, which I've NEVER seen in 25 years!!! Then, when DSis and I got up to sing - for which I was VERRRRRRRRRY nervous to sing in front of all my family - everyone clapped and kept telling us later in the day how good it sounded and how much they liked the song. Grandma loved it. My DSis is her (shhh) favorite, because they are very close, and we have lived across the road from her all our lives, so she was our babysitter, occasional taxi driver, and our EMT when we were sick at school. So it was really special. We took LOTS of family photos, and it was just a really good day.
Whew! Now that I've updated you on our special day, I am glad to hear at least the female FFCers are interested in a cabin tour. I was thinking maybe we could do it Sunday, since that's a day-at-sea and our staterooms should still be pretty put together.

How about 10 or 11 AM? If that doesn't work, feel free to suggest another time, especially if you've already got something planned for that time and really want in on the cabin tour. We can meet where we have our DIS meet, or we could meet on Deck 3 in the lobby atrium (the first place on ship we get to after we board). I tried to think of a central, familiar locale. Again, feel free to suggest another. What do you think? I figure we could just work from the the top to bottom or vice versa so we don't repeat ourselves (deck 8, then 5, then 8 again, etc.). If you're interested you can just show up and we'll make our rounds. And I can make little reminder cards since it seems a lot of people forget about DIS meets once onboard - even the first one!
Jen, I keep forgetting... I would like a copy of the spreadsheet with everyone's names. You said to let us know if we did, and this is my official request.

Can you send it to me in an email? You have my address but here it is again just in case:
jlbeck@zoominternet.net.
Wendy, you said you live in Joplin - is that Missouri? That's where my aunt and uncle from Texas where stopping last night as they left our party here in Ohio and made their way to Wisconsin for another family reunion.
Well, not much else is new. Sweetsue, good job on saving $$$. That's always a good treat. To everyone else - hi

and we've got 11 weeks to go!
