My you guys have been busy since I was last on -- a few hours ago! AND, it got me in trouble. Diet going fairly well, did succumb to 2 ice cream sandwiches as dinner, but otherwise good today THEN, I think, I'll just have a few chips and dip while I catch up and next thing I know I'm reading away, the chips are gone and 1/2 the NEW CONTAINER of dip is gone. Bad, bad. May have to skip weigh-in manana.
Jenny, LOVE your magnets, love the Disney font, like either of the last 2. I'm very excited. DD will love it!!!!! Also, where did you request your rotation? I want to avoid Animator's Palate as much as I can. I don't know why, but I get claustrophobic in there. I'm fine in the other restaurants. And do you know when I can try to switch to early seating? I think I read somewhere I have to wait until the day before.
OK, excursions -- St. Martin we've booked on the Lord Sheffield with Jen and Trisha's families and I'm really excited. There is a great thread abt LS over on cruise critic. Plus, that night is pirate night so a pirate ship is very appropriate -- imo. St. Thomas I've booked Capt. Nautica snorkeling for the morning run and then plan to shop around a bit. Last year our excursion took the whole day so we didn't get any shopping, which was just fine -- it was a great excursion, but it isn't offered anymore. I have a feeling the family that ran it went back to the Carolinas. On CC I've reserved the family pack of snorkeling gear, rafts and bikes, plus end of the day massages which are a big maybe. (Depends on how the shopping goes in St. Thomas?!)
Booked Palo brunch for Monday at 11am (didn't want to eat too much the day of formal night and not be able to get into my dress...) and dinner on Thursday at 6:30pm. DH wanted to do dinner close to the end of the cruise. Our anniv is Tuesday, but we didn't want to miss pirate night -- and what better way to celebrate than with the best thing we've given each other? DD, the spoiled, princess, terrorist pirate. Don't know what night to break out the matching Mickey duds? B/C I'm so short I'll probably end up having the dress cut off short. I did have fun shopping on disney direct today.
Brad, I think Passporter rates the butterfly tour pretty high. I'll check and let you know. From what I've read, I'd like to spend a few days on the French side -- just eating and hanging out.
Jen, you and your signature look awesome. I just can't bear to go through the process considering I have dial-up. Remind me your WDW/DCL schedule. Can you ship some of the extra clothes home? Or store some in a locker at the airport or whatever hotel you are staying at? OK, I know I'm totally obnoxious, but after 12 years as a lawyer I constantly see everything as a problem/solution. My poor family...
I have made a neat (to me) list of "extras" not to forget gleaned from "tips" off the big DCL board. I'll make it into a word or excel doc and share if anyone is interested. Just stuff like, bubbles for sail away party, collapsible hamper, night light, medicine (i.e., children's tylenol, benedryl, cough med., bandaids), air freshner ... and the like.
Oh, and Christal, growing up my dad was a travelling salesman and used a CB radio a lot and what they would all say to each other I always loved, "catch you on the flip flop." I had forgotten abt that until your pun reminded me. Yay!
Sweet dreams friends...
