After lurking at another board, there is a thread stating it was announced to the CMs that Cinderellabration last show will be Sept. 16th, also the new show is scheduled to start Sept. 30th. Rumor has it, Cinderella's Surprise Celebration will return.

However, there is some talk of Cinderellabration returning during the Princess & Pirates event nights.

I really hope there is something by Sept. 27th....my dd was too little last year to sit for show and my niece will be devastated not to see something in front of castle. :sad2:

Aaaaccckkk! Does that mean the Castle will be underwraps for transformation??? I've been worried about this for months; we're there 9/23-30.

When they put the decorations up the Castle was not covered. There was a large crane off to the side, work was done when the park wasn't open.

Thank you, safetymom. I know they have to work on it at some point, but like everyone else... I didn't want it to be our week! As long as we can see the castle I can deal with a crane- thanks again!

I heard it from a CM who heard it from another thread that said the new show will be "Who wants to be a Cinderella?".

(That's probably why they're closing WWtbaM at MGM.)

Guests are asked simple questions about certain world-famous Royal Families and who ever has the slickest excuse gets to sit in the Hot Throne on-stage with the Regent (the very popular host).

Contestants then answer questions about royal balls, proclamations, banquets, godmothers, slipper searches and such.
If they get stuck they can "Phone-a-Fairy" or "Ask the Court" for help.

The Regent is famous for his asking, "It that your final offer?" as weary guests bid to buy-off the cantankerous ugly step-judges.

Once a guest has answered enough questions to satisfy the Regent.

He declares that guest is granted a "Disney Wish".

If I get to play, my wish is for a REAL Castle show to return with Characters and Villains, action, silliness and FUN!!

;)

From what I heard:

Cinderella Castle Refurbishment Update

The MK Park is in the process of removing the HCOE decor and painting Cinderella Castle. During this time, the penthouse will be converted into a Castle Bedchamber.

In order to accomplish this in a timely manner, a crane will be used. The crane will be parked behind Cinderella Castle and it will be in the down position during theme park hours. The crane will have a construction wall around it and the walkway from Sir Mickey's to the Fairy Tale Gardens will be closed off. However, Fairy Tale Gardens will remain open.

During the night, additional cranes will be brought in to support other efforts on the lower levels. These cranes will be removed each morning before the MK park opens. Here is the schedule:

- Crane load in - Sept 10, 2006
- HCOE Decor removal Sept 10-13, 2006
- Paint Castle - Sept 19 - Dec 5, 2006
- Castle Bedchamber - Dec 5-19, 2006

This is the best news I've heard today! :bounce: We will be there at the end of October and I had abandoned hope of CSC being back by then. This news makes me very happy! :bounce: Cinderellabration was such a disappointment for my family

What is going on from the 14th until the painting starts?

Nothing at the castle?

I am new to all this, but I want to be prepared for whatever it going on.

Noooooo!!! Dd loves Cinderellabration and we will miss seeing it by just three days. This is her 4th birthday celebration trip. She will be so disappointed. :guilty:

i wouldn't want to stay in the castle. The room thats being converted to the bed chamber is infested with roaches.

I hope it won't be messed up either. We will be there the same days for our honeymoon.

So, will there be no show at all?

What is the Penthouse being converted to a bed chamber all about?

I will be there taking pictures as they start work on the castle. I will post them on the DIS for everyone. If they do it like they did when they put the decorations up you will hardly notice the work.

Let's leave Micheal Eisner out of this!

I hope this means that you'll once again be able to walk directly thru the castle to get from Main Street into Fantasyland. If I remember right, didn't you used to be able to do this before Cinderellabration? That's one thing I really miss-being able to stroll up Main Street and directly thru the castle into Fantasyland.

Don't count on THAT.
The Castle Stage has been in the center for a long time.

Even before Cindererdererererelllalalalllabrationtion you had to walk around the edges of the stage and thru the castle when the show was not going on.

They are closing "Who Wants to be a Millionare," at MGM because there in the stages of developing a "Midway Mania," ride based off of Toy Store. It is not because of this new show coming. - I just wanted to make that clear.

Also, that show it question sounds really odd and I dont totally buy into that. I will have to do some asking around on Saturday and see what is really going on!

However, because it is a "Year of a Million Dreams," I do think that people will be involved in the show - for example, a different family each day. But - we shall see I guess.

But a CM SAID she READ it on a website somewhere.
This would be a much funnier show than Cinderererlllalalbrbrabration.
I would sit and watch it all day.
I love the Regent, he's much better with Kelly Ripper.
Don't knock it if a CM says it.
It was on a WEBsite!
