Well Isaac was not that bad. A little bit of high winds and tiny showers but nothing to worry about. I should be getting my FE gifts in the mail today! 16 days left and this is my last full work week till after the cruise. I started counting at 200 and something and they flew by but with only 16 days left, I feel like its dragging.

Ok, we seem to have got through Isaac unscathed. I keep trying to see what is going on with the new tropical wave. Not that I should be panicky but I don't have a great track record with cruises and hurricanes, ugh! I know, I know optimism..lol

It is funny how the first storm of the season produces so much media attention and hysteria. We bought into the hype and got extra water and batteries yesterday.

In Sarasota, the county closed schools today and many workplaces closed in anticipation of a big storm. We got some rain but that's it. Lots of people get to play hooky today!

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you Tiffany! I put some of my FE gifts together last night and I think I need to add a step, so off to Micheals I will go to get something else to complete them.

Yep they made such a big deal over Isaac and its just turning out to be a bit breezy today! No school for my lil one either. All counties but 1 in the Bay area closed. I find myself looking further out in the forecast for whatever else is next too!

We started counting @ 1 year out, but these last 30 days are going super slow for me! Kyle's got it easy as school keeps him busy! FE'S are started, just trying to decide exactly which of the ideas we will be giving.

Waiting for this cruise is even worse than waiting for our last. We booked this one last minute, well at least for us, and now the time can't go quickly enough. Why is it not time to get on the plane yet?

Are you doing more than just the cruise??? I can't imagine flying out for 3 nights!! The time and cost seems like a lot!

Hi everyone!

I just wanted to remind everyone that there is a 2nd FE group if there is anyone that wanted to join up after the cut-off list. People from FE 1 can sign up for FE 2, but they don't have to. So far, I've had one request to join the list, and we only have a few days left. Below is my post about what you can do to sign up

I know that the Group 1 list has officially close last week, and there are still people just booking the cruise that are displaying an interest in joining the FE. I have decided that instead of just Pixie Dusting those who want to join, that I will spearhead the Group 2 sign up.

Anyone interested in signing up for Group 2 can PM me with their details (Cabin #, Number of people cruising, child/adult/ages/genders [if you wish], fav characters), (not in the board itself...board requests will not be honorer) by Monday, September 3, 2012 at 11:59 pm EST.

Anyone that is already in Group 1 is free to sign up for Group 2 if interested, but doesn't have to give a 2nd set of gifts to other participants from Group 1. Please keep in mind the cutoff date is 10 days prior to our sailing, so if you have time sensitive gifts to figure in that there may be people joining late.

If you are already part of FE Group 1 being lead by Mom2Kyle, please mention that in your PM to me. I will have a final posting of the Group 2 ONLY list available on or around Thursday Sept. 6 for interested parties.

Our one thing for the FE's FINALLY shipped!!! Unfortunately it won't be exactly like I wanted but at least I'm finally getting what I paid for. Can't wait to see them!!!

Does anyone have fun plans for Labor Day? I'm off to Virginia to visit family and then back for a few days before the cruise.

Still working on my FE gifts today...hoping to wrap up before I leave for VA on Friday.

Just booked this cruise and we are soooooo excited! This is our 2nd Disney cruise and DD's first cruise. We would love to join the 2nd FE group, I will PM you the details when we get our cabin number tomorrow. I just started my "research" as I don't know a thing about the Dream or cruising out of Port Canaveral, our last cruise was a Med cruise.

If any of you veterans would like to share your tips with a Disney Dream newbie, I would really, really appreciate it...

Nothing fun here. We have the dog trainer coming so we need to cram in some of our homework that we have been slacking on. Oops!!

Also, I have some crafty stuff to finish up (some hats I am making for a cousin and her boys per her request) and probably work on some Christmas gifts (I am flying up to family in Nov and would like to have most of it done to take then to avoid paying for more postage)

On my cruise in June we went to the Spa and bought a daypass there... for just one day... it worked out fine. This was like 6 weeks ago!

2 weeks!!! Super excited here!! Now the little one is even more excited because we found out tonight that one of her classmates is on the same cruise! I think this cruise is being over run by Florida residents!
