Happy Saturday, everyone!!!

We are now into the 30's with our countdown... only 39 days to go!!!

We have been working on fish extender gifts this morning We also searched and finalllllllllly found our fish extender I made... Glad I found it because I really love it and don't want to redo it!

Hey everyone! I just booked super last minute I'll have to send a PM - I'd LOVE LOVE to do the FE exchange if it's not too late! I'm taking my mom on a surprise cruise for her 60th I MEAN her second 30th birthday She thinks I'm taking her to Cocoa beach for a long weekend. It's her first time on a cruise, and I know she'd just love giving out gifts. I'll have to make a new FE, though.. the only one I have is Christmas themed because I've never not gone on a disney cruise in December, lol. So excited!!

How exciting. Make sure she packs her ears! I had to also make a new FE ( I posted a pic of it earlier on this thread). I now have a 3 year old and my last FE only had my 1st sons name on it.

We made final plans today after booking just a few days ago. We will not be able to do FE but would love the meet/greet. I still have the cabana on hold. I'll be releasing it next week if no one wants it. I just snagged it because I know how difficult they are to come by. There will just be 3 of us this time and we don't need the cabana.

We just booked this cruise today - doing a "double dip" (I think!) by doing the Sept 9th 4-day and then tacking on this 3-day right after.

It is me (Liz) and DH Joe and this is our 3rd Disney cruise (first & second ones were both TA's on the Magic.) We have a cabin on Deck 6.

We are in on the FL resident rates like so many others. VERY excited to get on this newer ship and also its great that this thread is so active, the one for our Sept 9th cruise is a little slow going so far.

Mom2Kyle - Have you ever taken a TA on Disney? Your screenname is very familiar.

Hi everyone! DW (TiffanyD on the boards) & I (both early 30s, no kids...the puppy is enough!!!) just put in for a quote for this sailing with the great FL Res rates! Still trying to figure out if we want do do the FE since it is getting close and we'd like to keep expenses down on this sailing. this will be #9 for both of us, 2nd on the Dream. I hope to catch up on the thread later and meet you all on the ship!

This is our third Disney trip but our first cruise, so depending on the meaning of TA (not what first comes to mind!!!) will depend on if you are thinking of me.

Would also love to know if you would join our little group for the FE exchange!

I think someone just needs to say, "Meet here @ this time" then we can all plan on it. I vote for Vista Cafe near atrium @ 3:00. Wear a flower in your hair or on your shirt so we all know who we are! I'll bring the sign!

Has there been a final decision on the meet n greet? I mentioned in post 49 that we could meet at the vista cafe near the atrium. I know that outside on the deck was mentioned too but not sure if the heat would be comfortable.
Also, I see that we have new cruisers that have joined recently, welcome!
Has anyone rcvd a final count from mom2kyle on the FE exchange? I really need to go shopping this weekend for gifts for the FE exchange but need count and ages of everyone participating.

Btw, it felt great to state I am cruising "next month" finally.

If you did not get a message from me this morning, 8/6, and are planning to join us please message or email me & I will send you the current list. OH I hope you do join in on the Fish Extender! SO basically all you need is something to hang off your "fish" outside your room that has pockets for people to leave you gifts. Then you make or get some little gifts and deliver them one day. You don't have to do every day definitely - I think we are but that's because our group is SO small and I have some fun ideas).

There are instructions to make a fish extender on the DIS - let me try to find them. But you can be creative and do something else. Some people get a bag and decorate it for their FE... or link a couple of smaller bags together!

YES! We decorate our door! We have tons of magnets from prior cruises and I have been busy making some new ones for this cruise!

But there's no real rule to it. We will have a list of rooms participating and you will pick a day/time (totally up to you) and deliver. We only have like 5 or 6 rooms right now and I have already planned on 8 so I'm hoping we get at least that many - haha!

The meet and greet idea of place and time is a go for me and the flower idea could have not worked out better because I just bought a hisbicus flower I was already planning on putting in my hair.

Beauty and Beast-If you look back a few pages Lena4Fun posted a pic of her FE.

I will also be decorating my door. I should actually be getting my personalized magnets for my door in the mail today. Might I suggest Patsenese on Ebay who does an awesome job and her prices are great. She will put anything on a magnet you want..any character...names..place...boat.

We have door magnets that a friend of mine made for the last cruise. We have a pirate sword with "Disney Dream, Wimmers 2012" painted on it. We also have Mickey and Minny ears with our name on them.

I so hope that someone doesn't steal them. We gave the same gift to everyone in our FE group and 2 of them indicated they had been stolen. Maybe I should get something to attach to them that will give them a little shock if they are touched. Nothing deadly, just enough to remind them what they are doing is wrong!!!!

I posted a pic of an FE I made earlier in the thread. I've made 3 of them so far and It was very easy. I used felt, wooden dowel, glue gun and whatever you want to decorate it with.
They way we have always did the FE exchange on past Disney cruises is we did not specify a time or date. Our FE was always hanging and my son would get presents left for him all the time. It was exciting for him to always wonder if something was waiting for him upon returning to the cabin. Also leaving it out for the whole cruise makes it easy to not interfere with structured plans. You do it when you want.
I also recommend bringing a bag to keep unloading the goodies into.
