Sept 13, 2012 Dream to the Bahamas

On the road heading back to NC. Did express departure, was so easy and quick. Hated to see the magic end though. Our first ever cruise was awesome, we couldn't have asked for more. In love with DCL! Will be back soon, with our kids next time. Hope everyone had a great trip and safe travels home!

It was so nice to meet some of you. I would def agree the 3 day was to quick but we all still had a blast. I want to say thank you for all the wonderful FE gifts. They filled an entire suitcase! These were def the most creative an memorable gifts I have ever seen. Take care and be safe, Lena, rob, hunter & Ty.

Hi all!!! We are back home. We did not do express debarkation and it was pretty much a nightmare We also had to wait for-ev-er for our parking shuttle... finally were on the road around 10:00... I think. YIKES!! We stopped on the way home in DTD and now just need to do some unpacking before we pick up our doggy from camp.

Thank you all for the awesome gifts! It was so much fun seeing the things that popped up at our cabin!

I hope everyone had a great cruise. Ours had some hiccups but it still beat working.

OH... MY... GOSH!! That was a phenomenal wedding cruise, but it was WAY TOO SHORT!!! I want to go back now!!! If anybody got any photos of us on our wedding day (or on our CC shoot the next day!) I'd love to have those e-mailed to me! PM me for the address! I hope everyone else had as much fun as I did! I tried to distribute some of our leftover wedding favors, but I had SUCH a hard time finding any FE's!!! It was great meeting some of you!

Yes you DEFINITELY need a longer cruise!!! I'm not sure if it was the 3-night shortness or what but I did not have such a great cruise. Not bad or anything just boring. We skipped all the shows and the pirate party and dinner one night - LOL. And we just didn't find that much we wanted to do on the ship!! We are going back on the Fantasy in December so I will see if it was the ship, shortness of the cruise, or if we just need to do other things for our vacations. I do kind of think I wasn't as wow-ed with the dream after being on the Fantasy. Sorry, but the Fantasy (both the ship and the people that happened to be on the cruise with us) were WAAAAAAAAAAAAAY better. MUCH less kids infiltrating (LOLOL!) our adult sanctuary and more events throughout the day!

I'm dying to go on the Fantasy! I keep telling Michael that 7-night cruises are heavenly! I've only been on the Magic and the Dream, both gorgeous boats, but still... DYING to try the other two ships so I can say that I've cruised them all! After my NEXT cruise, I'll be a GOLD CC member!

We saw you and your wedding party several times. We wanted to respect your privacy so we didn't take any pictures. My hubby did come up to you on the first day at Cabanas to ask you if you had recently had a car accident. He couldn't help himself. After that I told him to stop!

My son loved doing what he called the "Ninja" to get the gifts to everyone. I gave him a bag with state room number on it and the gifts inside. I have no idea if he knocked on the door and gave it to you, laid it in front of the door, or put it in your FE bag.

Hope everyone had a great cruise. I personally am exhausted and need to take a nap. I have to leave for LAX in a few hours

P.S. I've decided we are going on the Panama Canal Cruise this time next year for our 15 year anniversary. I just have to figure out a way to get the kids and pets taken care of for 2 weeks straight! I think we'll have to start training someone now to get through two weeks.

Phew I am exhausted after this trip! I had to take a nap when we got home! We had a nice trip but we definitely had difficulties that made it harder to enjoy, but that was mostly caused by family dynamic problems. Made it hard to relax and just enjoy. ^( we loved all of the FE gifts!! They were so fun and cute!! Thank you everyone!!

We saw jbeanbunny having photos done on the balcony in the atrium!! You were so beautiful!! My 3 year old niece was just mesmerized by the "princess" she thought you were!! And we ended up following you guys to your room while we were delivering our FE gifts!! I was worried you'd think we were stalking you!! Lol! My nephew was trying to be stealthy by jumping behind things like the maid's carts and stuff so you wouldn't turn around and see him as he was going to drop our gift in your bag! Lol

We too had some difficulties and disappointments. The food was the biggest one of all. The lack of vegetarian options was very discouraging. I expected so much more from Disney. Dear Disney, Lobster stuffed mushroom caps and vegetables in oyster sauce are not vegetarian.

Did you let them know so they could discuss options the night before?

I really dislike that there is no real option for a non seated dinner. We ended up eating from the pool snackbar one night...

Haha, I know! I made the same comment about lobster being listed as Vegetarian. I am a vegetarian, too, and this was our second Disney cruise. I was mostly pleased with their options (I thought some of them were really good), but I agree that others were just mediocre. Sometimes I wonder who is testing their vegetarian menu for some of those meals to pass as acceptable. But being a vegetarian for so long, I'm used to it now and just sit back and enjoy the desserts!

Perhaps it was all part of the short cruise but I was told that nothing on the menu could be modified because it's all made ahead of time. I discussed this with the head server on the first night. The food was good but the lack of a choice was a problem. My 13 year old ended up eating off the kids menu each night which meant her main course was mac and cheese EVERY NIGHT.

I finally found a chef at the sandwich stand by the pool that's from India. He hooked us up big time. We had the pesto panini and the greek wraps but then he made us some other veg sandwiches which were just awesome! I also wish I would have known that the Royal Palace has a sit down breakfast. I thought we only had the buffet option of Cabanas.

we made it home to VA. We did the express walk off exit. we were in our car and headed home by 7:30, we stopped in SC to see my DD, DSIL and my little tiny baby girl (my granddaughter) had lunch and back on the road. Made it home in 12 hours 45 minutes

We loved our FE gifts. Haley was so excited to look each time we returned to the room. thanks so much.

The cruise was too short. We didn't get to do a lot of things we wanted to do. Don't think I will ever do another 3 night.

I was so please with our table mates. DCL teamed us up with another mother and her daughter and a grandmother and her granddaughter. We had a blast each night. Even spent the day at CC with the mother and daughter.

It was really nice to meet you all.

Now I'm going to go lay down and relax I'm exhausted from the drive.
