4Sedgs, how disappointing, I was hoping to get my docs soon, but I do recall them telling me when I made my final payment that it would be about 3 weeks before we sail that we get the docs.

Scrapperjill, I hope all is well with your daughter's checkup. You are in our thoughts. My daughter wore her dress for the princess meet last year. There were several girls who wore them then. She also wore them the night we had semi formal.

Thanks to everyone for your thoughts and prayers...were still here at home (tonight)...the Ronald McDonald house was full as of this afternoon...they did call us this evening around 6:30 and let us know they had a room for us...but since check un has to be befor 8:00pm...and we live 3 hours a way...we couldn't make it. So we will be up and leaving the house around 5:30 am.
...makes for a long day.

I was able to finish our buttons for the meet and our door sign...now if I can only figure out how to post it on the board. Any one know how?? I saw a thread on the main board about the magnet door signs this evening...with some real cute signs....Makes me want to do mine over.

Yiiiipieeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!! Im do'in the document dance The UPS man delivered mine about 12:15 today!!!! I hope everyone else gets thiers soon. I was hoping for a surprise upgrade but no luck. It would be really great but as long as I'm on that ship I would be happy in the engine room!

DocumentS? Oh where, oh where are my documents? I wasn't expecting them for another 2 weeks. I read somewhere that they arrive about 3 weeks before the cruise. Now so many of you received them this week.
Do I get anxious now? Or do I wait for a week or so?
Scrapperjill I hope that your daughter's appointment went well.

After all this time my Mom said that she would prefer late seating for dinner. (It's not that I haven't asked her so many times about the seating and she said "Oh no early is better for me.") So we changed it today and now we are at the late seating.

I got my packet of info about Key West from Shirley last week. It is chock full. I have been comparing the maps to make certain that I can find everything. I do getting around in new places as long as I have a map or 2. Now if I can only get my 'roomies' to decide on what excursions they want. I think they are leaving it all up to me.

I can't believe that 5 weeks from right now I'll be sitting in the Radisson waiting for the big day! Yippee!

I feel your "Pain", Nancy! I thought I might get my documents early...afterall, I live just a few blocks from DCL headquarters!!!! No luck. Oh well, I guess we'll have to just keep waiting!

Can we really only be 5 cruises from sailing???? Time is flying.

Oh my I didn't think of it that way! Only 5 cruises from sailing! Wow that is 3 Eastern and 2 Western! So if the webcams are up, then that is 5 Saturdays at the port and 2 Sundays at Key West!
It really helps me 'relax' to watch the web cams and tell my dog that I will be on that ship soon! (The dog is lounging next to me in his crate while I play on the 'puter!)

My best friend and I went shopping the other night for evening wear & bathing suits. We each got an outfit for the 'formal and semi formal" nights. Although our 'formal' attire isn't very formal. Now we just have to try not to stand right next to each other because we clash something awful. (We had no luck with the bathing suits. For some reason the 'seasons' for clothing are way off in NY. Bathing suits in February and winter coats in July.) Now all I have to do is take my Mom shopping for something. She wants to wear a long black skirt and sparkly top. But of course we may be out of season again.

Oh such trials and tribulations.

I like hearing about all the documents being recieved I can't wait to get ours.

Just wanted to give a quick update on Sydneys apt. today...Well as it is... we are still in the hospital. Sydney is holding up okay..but as for Jesse and I...Well we've had better days. The plan right now is...She is admited to the hospital for a short stay (14 day's!!! if you can call that short).. After that we may be going back into surgery but we won't know that untill the end of the two weeks. Hopefully all will go well...and we will be in tip top shape for the trip. At least she has something GREAT to look forward to.

Well I just wanted to give a quick update...So I better be going for now.

I am up early this morning and can only imagine what time I will be up 5 weeks from now!

Scrapperjill...thanks for the update. I thought of you and your family many times yesterday. We'll keep those prayers and pixie dust aimed at Sydney. Be strong...you have a lot of people thinking of you.

It is my husband's bd today, but we are throwing a surprise party for my son who will be graduating from the police academy Monday evening. I have made up this outrageous lie to my son that we are throwing a surprise party for my husband's birthday...so he isn't suspicious as to why I am cleaning the house like a mad woman and buying a lot of extra food! I hope I can pull this off! He has had a tough summer. He was supposed to get married in May and she called the whole thing off 10 days before the wedding. She took all of the money in their joint banking account...which I warned him about...(mother's do know a few things) and left him stranded with a load of bills. She didn't have a reason, she didn't return the wedding gifts, and her family is outraged with her. All of this after 5 years of dating!! AND I took her on DCL in March...just the two of us for a quiet weekend away before wedding plans got really hectic. What was I thinking???

Anyway...he has moved back in with us while he finishes the academy. My mother is calling him over to "help" her today...with what, I don't think she has decided yet.
His dad is flying in from PA, so that will be a great surprise also!

Well, better get moving...25 ppl at 5pm....and it is supposed to rain here in Orlando this afternoon.

Tell Sydney that I'm going to make her an honorary Carolina Girl when she's on the cruise and that I'll teach her how to shag if they have the music for it! Otherwise, she can just look silly with he rest of us trying to dance to steel drums!

Trasee: Good luck with the party! Your son deserves a medal for surviving a viper like that. Maybe he's better off in the long run. He needs a good woman when he goes into the police force. Happy Birthday to your husband!

I too am doing the Document dance in hopes that my Docs will come soon! I received one of the postcards for my kids today. I have to put it away until I get them both otherwise the other will be asking a thousand questions as to why the other got one and they did not.

TraSee, good luck on your party today for your son! Also, tell your husband . It is terrible about your son's unfortunate luck with his exfiance, but at least it happened before the marriage and not 5 years into it with kids. Some things we have to be thankful for even though it is still a terrible situation.

I was reading a post the other day about them changing the theme from Mexicali night to Pirates of the Carribean night starting with the cruise tonight. I wonder if it will be a hit. I was just about to start looking for our outfits for that night. Maybe I will wait until someone posts about it upon their return.

Hello All! I'm new to this forum and a 1st time cruiser. Were a family of 7 coming. Debbie(Grandma), Deanna(Mom), Robert(Dad), Andrew(12), Brady(10), Christopher(5), and Katelyn(1). We can't wait. At least the adults. The kids are clueless yet about what to expect. I read some of you had made Palo reservations already. How de we go about doing that? See you all in 5 weeks. Deanna

Welcome DDailey! You and your family are going to have a wonderful vacation! Palo's reservations can be made early if you purchase the REAS package. I haven't purchased this package before, so I am certain someone who has can give you more info. My husband and I book once we get on board. (We don't have any small children, so waiting in line isn't as much of a problem for us as it would be with a larger family.)Lines in the past haven't been a problem for us...ever. Of course, we are usually one of the first 25 in line to board the ship! We live only 40 minutes or so from the port and, the way I look it, I can be here at home pacing back and forth watching the clock, or I can be in the port sitting on the floor in line at the Mouse Ears...I'd rather be on the floor by the ears!!!
Woohoo!! 5 weeks and we'll be in Margaritaville!

Thank you everyone for the Happy Birthday Wishes for my husband! The surprise party for my son was a hit! It rained...which actually caused my son to be late arriving at the party, but that was okay for me! I ran around here in turbo speed getting everything ready. He was truly surprised...especially when he saw his father who had flown in from PA! All night he kept saying how impressed he was that I could lie that much to him! Who me?

Yeah,got my documents and booked REAS ($299). Are there better nights to do Palo? Can we do brunch instead? When will someone call to book dates? Thanks and can't wait for the BIG day. Glad to see another 10yo on board. Is Brady a boy or girl? My Nathan is 10 and in the 4th grade.
