Sept. 11, 2011 It's never too early to Dream

Quite a story Big John. Thanks for the laugh and the picture. I never considered that a first floor room was an open invitation for uninvited guests. I will make sure we stay on upper floors from now on!

Judy, sounds like a lovely evening. What a shame about our beautiful beaches. So many people and animals are affected by this.:sad2:

Big John, Snake story made me laugh! I do recall seeing snakes in the garden area around CBR on our 2006 trip. Made me thankful we were had 2nd floor rooms! On our last trip, last fall, at the same resort, here's what we saw when heading back to our rooms one evening after a day in the parks. He was on the wall at the top of the stairs across from our rooms:

I had NO idea these things could climb walls! Made me thankful our doors were sealed tight and now after your story thankful it was a frog and not a snake ( I HATE SNAKES!):)

I look back to my new roommate and laugh about it the same day, I look at it as a story to tell thats funny and I will always remember that trip. As you can tell it didn't and won't keep me from going back to WDW, my last trip was boring, didn't see any wild things other then kids.

One time when me and Mom were walking back to our room at Dixie Landings real late at night, we kept hearing this odd noise :confused3 , we were not sure what or where it was coming from till will turn down the walk way to our room, and there was this frog, about the size of a football (I mean it was BIG!!!) and everytime it jump :jumping3: , it made the noise, then it jump up onto a door jam, as we walk by, I would have like to see what would of happen if someone open that door :faint:

Is everyone ready for the week-end??!!?? I know I sure am.

Big John, go ahead and use that photo of the Disney ship as you want. I have it as my desk top photo on my home computer too. It sure is nice to see every time I turn on my computer!!!:cool1::cool1::cool1:

That snake story was a funny story you have there Big John. I had a run in with a scary creature too last year. Our backyard runs down into a nice size pond. In fact we have one on two sides of our home. We see allot of interesting water birds, deer, otters, frogs by the millions!!!!, turtles and other creatures. Last spring I was doing my usual yard work. I was trimming the grass at the waters edge in the backyard. I came upon a decent sized log laying at the waters edge. I wasn't paying much attention to anything other then my trimming. Just as I approached this "log" it moved towards me, reared up it's ugly head and it was a 4 to 5 foot alligator. :scared1::scared1: This was not the first one I had seen one in our yard, but it was the first one I almost stepped on!!!! Thank goodness he, (or she - I didn't get that good of a look), didn't like the sound of my trimmer. He, (or she), ran into the water and I high tailed it outa there myself!!!! Needless to say I check around both ponds now before doing any yard work at all now!!!

Just wanted to drop in and say hi to everyone before I start my hunny due list DW has made out for me.:scared1::scared1::eek: It's the scaryest thing I've ever seen!!! And, it's longer then my arm!!! Hope everyone has a nice Sunday.:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

Good morning David, and everyone else! It's been a fabulous weekend here!
I went out shopping with a friend yesterday, shopping for Cruise Clothes (Dh, myself and my boys were all in need of something, some of us more than others) It's always nice to shop with a friend, rather than by oneself. So we headed to the mall at about 1:30. We had a blast, EVERTHING is on sale Everywhere, all that summer stuff, you know. On the way home, my friend needed to stop by the grocery store for bread (after getting a text message from her DH). So we stopped at the grocery store. I couldn't resist the Watermelon they had by the front entrance, so I picked up one of those (and Ooooooh it's calling to me now!!) I called my DH to check with him weather or not he thought we needed something from the grocery store, since I was there at that moment. We had a quick exchange of info, then he asked me if I had had supper. Well NO, I hadn't, when would I have had time to do that? I was SHOPPING!! It was only when I got off the phone with him that I looked at my watch for the first time since we had left. :scared1: IT WAS 7:15 PM!!!!!! HOLY COW!!!!! It DID NOT feel like we had been gone that long. WOW, the whole day just GONE LIKE THAT.
BUT, We DID have FUN!!!!!!!
Everybody now has their Swim wear, shorts, T-Shirts. I have my Formal Dress and my semi Formal dress and some sun dresses (I previously owned NO dresses).
Now I just need to get DH a suit Jacket for formal night and DS6 a suit as his from last year has outgrown him. And DS6 turns 7 tomorrow!!

Hi everyone. I haven't been on here in a while because I've been trying to rest my leg when I'm not working. The doc says I tore my meniscus in my knee. Thank God it happened this year and not next.

Your story about the snake Big John was hillarious. I wish that happened to me. I would probably pick it up and take it home.:lmao: Same with the tree frog he was cute..:goodvibes Id be running from that alligator though. That's an animal I wouldn't mess with.

Thanks for those links David. It made me even more excited seeing the Dream being built. It's almost done I can't wait time to start planning.:cool1: Just hope I don't have to be out of work at all so I can save some money.:scared1:

Ok, time to get to work. Have a good day everyone!!!:hippie:

So sorry to hear about your knee, Shannon! I agree that it's a good thing that it happened now, and not next year! I hope it heals soon!!:)

Don't let my DD, Shannon, fool you all! She would pack up the alligator and take it home too!:rotfl:

Just wanted to pop in to say hi to everyone before going out and doing my yard work thingy.

About that gator I told all about earlier, when I walked up to it not realizing it was a gator:scared1:..............I was so absorbed in doing a good job on my yard I didn't pay any attention to the "log" in the yard. And, I think he was asleep or something and didn't notice me. Well...............I don't know who screamed like a girl princess: the loudest....................me or the gator running in different directions!!!!!

Ya'll have a GREAT DAY!!!

David, thanks for all those links, I really enjoyed watching them!

I just found out there is another POTC movie being released May 2011 and it will be shown on board the Dream. Does anyone think it will still be offered on board by the time we all Sail? If thats likely, then I will MAKE myself hold off seeing it and watch it on board instead! (I swore I'd never see a movie on board, as thats something I can do back home, so why waste precious on board time doing something I could do back home. But our Dream trip is a back to back, so I figure we'll have time to fit that in), hee hee :)

Hi all, I hope everyone had a good week-end. It seemed like I worked at home all week-end long!!!! Next week-end will be different................I know, I know I say that every week-end!!!

Judy, DW and I said that very thing about watching a movie while on board the ship. But our last cruise we made a last minute decision to go see a movie on the Wonder. Well, to make a long story short.................which I know ya'll will approve of:confused3...............don't know why though..........anywho we had a great time and completely enjoyed every minute!!! So if you get the chance.............go see a movie on board!!!

Well, it's time for me to start work, ya'll have a great day.

We just booked 9/11/11 for our 20th Anniversary celebration (well, part of it, anyway -- we want to return to Montreal, where we honeymooned, too).

This will be DH's first large ship cruise and my second. We're excited!
