We will be there five days total. So excited to see another country and one where I understand the language:)

I think you were on the PC cruise with us but never got to meet you did I?

I thought I recognised your username. For some reason we didn't get round to socialising on the PC.:confused3

No we didn't have any fireworks leaving Barcelona. The ship set sail in the evening. In fact we were in dinner when we realised we were moving. The sailaway party was still in the afternoon so it was a bit strange having a non-sailaway party !!!

It was a huge non event really wasn't it? Not as bad a non event though as being on the Wonder leaving her long time home, possibly for good, to go to LA and have no farewell OR welcome into LA!!!

I don't think we will rush to the terminal in the morning, last time we were there at about 9:30 ish and there was a lot of waiting around. This time we may just wander and do some shopping in the morning, and just make our way to the Magic in time for lunch :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

We might do that too, though I have this inbuilt thing that just wants to get there and onboard as soon as possible, so I might not be too good to live with going round Barcelona when I think I should be in line at the terminal.

I have the same inbuilt thing, the same inbuilt thing that tells me I have to go to WDW if I am in Florida. I have managed to attempt to overcome this so far by booking a beautiful hotel in St Augustine ( and it still feels wrong ). I will also hopefully manage to overcome the need to get to the Port and wait around for hours this time.

As far as the beer, wine, etc, tastings, couldn't we just get together at the ones DCL already has scheduled? I know on our 4-nighter they had beer, wine, mojito (or maybe it was margaritas) and martini tastings. Would that work, if we can't book private tastings, or is the seating too limited?

I hope we can book the private tastings, but if I can't then that will be the next best thing I suppose.

Thanks for the PM's, I will get to reply to you all soon.

What a day it is here...very very windy...

Banner was a good company to work for; but I'm not fond of monopolies. The hospital here is nearly the only game in town, and it doesn't seem to benefit employees or patients.

Actually going back to Phoenix next month when my brother is attending a librarians' software users' conference. Will play with my SIL during the day - see the things I never visited while working nights 40 hours/week. Then heading up to the Grand Canyon for brother's first view, then back through Sedona.

I'm not sure which hospital our cousin works for in Huntsville, but I recall passing it as we drove from Athens to the Space Center this past October.

All this Phoenix/Sedona talk... love love love that area! Curt tried to get us back there this month for Spring Training, but my work schedule was already too tight by the time he mentioned it.

Wow, the magic fountains look great. Why did I not see them in my guide book from the last couple of visits to Barcelona? Too much focus on gaudi lol.

I'm hoping this will be good for my little ones. I know Sarah enjoys the fountains at Bellagio, but is not fond of the noise when they shoot off. She seemed to like them more from our room versus outside with all the action. She's always been sensitive to noise.

I have that inbuilt thing as well... Our last cruise was out of San Juan, Puerto Rico... and there really is NOTHING there at the cruise terminal for waiting in line... Luckily, we were behind other CruiseCritic people, and ended up joining their table for dining for the week. Turns out, they received the award for 'most nights onboard Celebrity' for our cruise, had a great table, and a spectacular suite that literally had a deck covering half the aft... and were the nicest, most genuine people we have met on a cruise. Great memories. :)

:dance3: :dancer: party: 6 Months Today!!!! party: :dancer: :dance3:

WooHoo!! :cool1:

Yes, the Dis group from last years WBTA was fantastic and it was great to meet them in the terminal and chat. This group is the same, though much smaller, so i will be looking forward to meeting you all too.

I know Curt has always thought I was crazy with the CruiseCritic meets... but he's always enjoyed the people we have met over the years (I joined CC in 2000!). I'm the planner, he's along for the ride. Many times, we board the ship and I ask him to name the ports we are sailing to... :lmao:

Based on my experience, You *hope* you can understand the language :rotfl2:

If the group isn't too large, that would seem to be a less expensive alternative.

I'll be able to give you a definite on my two 'ditherers' after April 1.

Happy Day, Everyone!

John is a bit like that. Only difference is I have to tell him everything over and over again. And then again. He still never knows which ports we will be stopping off at though. I bet if I ask him now he will remember Gibraltar and Madeira but have no idea whatsoever about the Caribbean ones, even though we went last year!!!:lmao:

I make plans and tell him, then says I have never ever told him. At least he loves to go so it doesn't matter!!

Oh, I'm so glad to hear this! I thought Dennis was the only one!

I've started telling him things like, "Oh, you said we could (insert expensive item/trip here). Don't you remember?" :rotfl:

We will be travelling straight from the airport to the cruise terminal, probably arrive at 11. It would be great to have a chat with fellow DISers prior to boarding.... mini dismeet in the terminal :thumbsup2 would get me even more hyper, if that is humanly possible :rotfl:

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: They really would be none the wiser would they?

Same here - Lee never knows any of our plans!

:rotfl2: I do this to Lee too, he never figures it out. ;)

Gosh, I hadn't clicked. I haven't done anything at work yet that required putting on the date!

:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo::woohoo: :woohoo:

It's so exciting!!!! :woohoo:

I am sure there will be lots of us eagerly waiting to board! If we can get the go ahead with our T shirts then we should all wear them for boarding so we can easily identify our DIS friends. :thumbsup2

Sarah - Do you you think it's worth adding the Pre Cruise meet at the Hard Rock to Noels welcome wagon?

Anyone interested in doing a ladies only Palo High Tea? I'm not sure how many we would need to do this but I guess the max is about 12-15? Anyone know for sure?

I would be very interested in High Tea. If there is still room. I'm about 10 pages behind.
