I think I quoted everyone below so I had a few comments I wanted to share. First I am fine with the date and the cost. Based on my last years experience with the Champagne Girls, I think Claire has come up with an excellent plan.
The only time you can get about 60 persons in a gathering in a private room is to have the Walt suite. We had about that many in a DIS gathering we had on a 2007 NYE cruise on the Magic. If you have a concierge suite, they will be much more helpful in providing glasses, ice etc. I was able to work with the land concierge to arrange all the food, drinks etc. I don't think you can do this in a regular stateroom but if I am incorrect I am sure someone will quickly correct me.
Last year there were some hard feelings about missing bottles etc. This way no one will be responsible for bringing champagne or worry that their more expensive champagne disappears without even being opened.
As another posted mentioned, I would think that DCL would provide a closed off venue with tickets as they do with the tastings. Those who participate would get a charge on their stateroom as well the ticket being delivered to their stateroom.
Based on my experience, I think the option Claire has so diligently worked on is our best option for an official Champagne girls meet.
Just my thoughts...![]()
Thanks Noel.

I was actually really pleased to get the green light from DCL let alone a good date! (ie not the last sea day

I think the first of the 5 sea days (with exception of it clashing with the pub crawl) is great as we will all meet early on in the cruise & therefore will know people when we see them around the ship for the remainder of the time onboard.
