I was Karen #2 for so long in elementary school...because they went alphabetically and I fell behind Karen Brown.

So, I'll offer to be Keri (since that's what most of my family calls me anyway)...so now we are down to only how many Karens?

I just think it's funny....maybe we could have a group Karen photo!

Wow, this is a chatty group! I've been off the boards for a few days and had about 50 pages to read ....but keep it coming - good stuff!

We are about to wind down from all of the celebrating in our house. In the last 2 weeks - my husband turned 50 , my daughter graduated High School , we celebrated our 26th Wedding Anniversary yesterday , and Monday is our son's 23rd birthday . Whew!

We're going to New Orleans this weekend to do some final celebrating, then it's back to normal. Gotta get this diet going again - 20 lbs. need to be gone by the time we cruise.

Just want to say to all the newcomers!

My daughter renewed hers on the Panama Canal cruise in Jan. It was lovely... I did mine on the EBTA... but I did not do the Disney one.

So am I premature checking by reservation every day to see if I got a cabin assignment yet?

They did not release the rooms until about 60 days out on the EBTA

I have updated the Tortola excursion on the front page to reflect a cancellation/standby change. I drop them an email once a month so they know for sure we are still onboard!! Will do so after June 23 since that will be my one month marker since emailing them last.

It's been a crazy day here. I have one more hour of work this evening (slight break now). Trying to indulge in sangria at night after work is done to get in the "Spain" mode!!

So we went to Magic Kingdom yesterday and did Mickey's Philharmagic. Is it just me, or does the lobby of the Philharmagic attraction remind you of the decor on the Disney Magic?

Did you all see that someone posted pictures of all the menus from the EBTA? I can post the link if I can find it...it was on the main cruise thread under a question about food. Made me hungry!!

I'll bring some odds and ends, so if anyone has a nail emergency I'd be happy to help them out! I travel with OPI polishes, nail glue and repair silk, files, base and top coats. But I'm serious, if anyone needs a hand with a repair or a quick polish job, I'm in cabin 6071.

Ahhh, the kindness of strangers .

In relation to Gibraltar, the trip to the the apes is a great trip in the minibuses as there is more to do at 'the top of the rock' other than the apes. There are the siege tunnels and St Michael's cave and if you do it on the cable cars there is quite a walk on the rock to visit all the places.

One tip that I would give for Gibraltar is to take some pounds sterling. Everywhere will accept pounds sterling and euros but the exchange rate for euro's is 1.5 to the pound which is extortionate. If drawing money out of ATM's there are different machines that dispense pounds and euros. The ATM at morrisons gives pounds sterling

Yes, there is a LOT of walking if you try to do this on your own ; we felt sorry for some of the people we passed, because it's quite a steep climb. Thanks for the hint; the exchange rate for the USD is a killer this year. Ouch!

So, my promotion here at work FINALLY got approved!!! It's been hanging out there since January, so i've been waiting a long time!! Now I will get an office, so that will be very nice!

An office door is so nice....just so you can shut it! It's a matter of sanity sometimes

Well thanks for the support for my daily habit of checking to see if I have a cabin number yet. I feel better tonight....we made our flight reservations to Paris. We're going there first 9/4-9. It's a step that makes everything more real and exciting! I downloaded a French app too...so I am headed now to etudie...??? which I think might be French for study.

Yes you can book their cruise with yours. you will just have to give a cc number to for a deposit. You will get $200 OBC for each room
