This sounds like the best way Michelle.....providing it's not too much hassle for you to sort out. :)

Same here, I still don't believe they know what they are doing...I hope someone else rings them though as I am seriously hacked off with them.

I'll ring them tomorrow morning, my thinking is if we ring again now then the chances are we will get the same person answering the phone.

Thank you Claire...there is no point in me calling back. I think I just want someone else to confirm and that I am not the bearer of bad news:sad2:

Noel - Just checking as I can't remember if you've already said you will add this to the DIS Navigator.
I am putting a white board on my door (6507) so people who get upgrades / change of room etc can leave a message to let those delivering exchanges/gifts know. I will also have some spare print outs of the FE & Scrapbook exchange incase anyone forgets/loses it. (Full details on the first page). Thanks. :)

I will be sure to add this under services tab on the website as well as put the statement in the first part of the Navigator so people will know where to go for changes etc.

I've started compiling a list of clothes that I would like to take on the cruise and I've noticed I have a lot of white items I've been putting down. My question is (and I'm sure it's a southern regional thing)...do a lot of women wear white on the WBTA? I'm not talking about white shirts.....but sandals, pants, skirts, etc. In the south, you grew up with the tradition of not wearing white shoes before Memorial Day (end of May) and not wearing them after Labor Day (first week-end of Sept.). I figure going on a cruise would be different, but then I'm not sure of what the temperature is like crossing the Atlantic during the middle of Sept. Just an idle thought and thought some of you experienced "cruise fashionistas" could shed light on this for me! :confused3:confused3 Still going to wear white but maybe not as much depending on the temperatures. Thanks for your help on this "earth shattering" issue! :rotfl2::rotfl2:

I think that rule was followed when I was younger but I certainly don't follow it much now. I also will be bringing along a few white outfits so you will not be in the minority if you wear white after Labor Day!

How does calibre work, I have a kindle and didn't know I could exchange books!!:thumbsup2:confused3
I am not the expert on calibre like Jacqueline (Goofieslonglostsis) is about the program.

Click on her post or PM her. Jacqueline should give us all a quick tuitorial one day at sea!!

QUESTION: Ladies, when you're on a cruise with more than one formal night, do you wear the same dress twice or do you bring two? Do you tend to go more "all out" for the first one?

Also, do you get your hair done?

I bring two formal dresses for this cruise. Second, since I do a Brazilian blowout, I do NOT get my hair done on the cruise.

I've been deliberating about a dress for formal night. I don't have a very big picture of it, but it's a red ballgown on Ebay and I keep coming back to it... is it too much for a cruise?

I keep thinking how I just love dressing up, and get so few chances during the year to do it. I've been thinking about it all week, and am pretty sure of the fit (I don't mind having it altered if needed).

So, yea or nea... too much, or seeing as it's Disney it would be fine?

That would be lovely, nothing is over the top on a Disney cruise. If I could fit into something like that, I would wear it for sure. You can squish it as much as you like to get it into your suit case and then give it to Disney onboard so they can steam it.

Just on the phone with the Gibraltar Morrison's now and they have confirmed they are closed..

Nooooo ... say it isn't so ... all my lovely British chocolate plans out the window :sad1: :sad2: :sad1:

I will definitely call in the morning.....maybe they will have a change of heart if they get lots of calls. :wizard:

Thanks Noel. :thumbsup2

I am sure if you make a list a few of us could bring a little for you - that way the extra luggage won't be as bad for just one person bringing a lot. :goodvibes

:headache:

I'm still going to try, maybe we can persuade them!

So, since the holiday is on Saturday and they are typically open on Saturday...will they be closed both days? Here, when a holiday is "observed" on a monday because it falls on a weekend, stores and things that are open on the weekend usually close on the actual holiday and are open on the day it is "observed". :confused3

Maybe we should start a petition or an email campaign or something...:rotfl: :lmao:

Oh look, it's my 1,000th post!!

No they will stay open on the Saturday and close on the Monday! They don't close on a Saturday for anything so it seems.

OK so it looks like Morrisons is out of the running. :headache:

I will get some supplies in Barcelona before we board, is there any supermarkets/off licence in Madeira? On the main street where the cable cars are?

So, if Christmas was on a Saturday, would they stay open on Saturday and then be closed on Monday when businesses "observe" it? Weird...

Aww, you guys are sweet  Maybe we could get them to stay open half a day :rolleyes1
