O, I love blue cheese on a cracker with home made pearschutney.
And also the italian peccorino cheese with a sweet figsconfiture.
I shall order room service for certain as I see these photo's
Yes, of course - pm me your email addy and I'll share some with you right now. We've seen his stuff in Pittsburgh, Columbus, Cleveland, St. Louis . . .
DH and I love cheese too. I am not a big fan of Blue but my husband loves Blue the stronger the better. For those that are cheese fans and have not been to brunch there is a pretty good selection of cheeses there. If I knew how to post pictures I would show you some.
GOOD Morning, Happy Cruisers!
Lovely weather day today in the great north east. I'm busy packing for my weekend - we're having a Disboards meet on Friday, "roommates meet" on Saturday, and Sunday, driving up to Boston to the Chihuly exhibit (designer of the Magic atrium chandelier).
Yesterday, I called Chase about the credit card. They sent me over to special services who said yes, they had had some reports of cards not being accepted at certain places (including some automatic ticket machines) in Europe.
However, they had little to offer by way of work arounds. The only card Chase has with a chip is their JPMorgan card, which has an annual fee associated with it. And that, apparently, is one of only 2 in this country that offer chip technology.
MY personal work around is going to be 'cash'. I'm going to buy the number of Euros (at AAA) I think I'll need for my three days in Spain - any leftovers will go on my shipboard account or be spent in St. Maarten.
Happy Day All!
Disney does not care how much liquor you bring on board. We had a suitcase packed with nothing but liquor and it weighed 50lbsYou would think we were alcoholics...lol Many of the EBTAers brought lots of liquor and we meet at Promenade lounge every night around 10:30 and shared drinks and socialized til around 1 or 2 AM!
We would take our glass of wine to dinner and there was no problems with that. However as mentioned before, if you take the bottle to dinner, you will be charged a $18 uncorking fee...

I would be more than happy to bring you some. I so know how you feel. Have you ever tried Prevacid? it is over the counter here. I had reflux and sever heartburn for about 20 years before I had surgery to correct it last year. The only thing that gave me any relief was the prevacid. I will have some with me if you want to try it. It last 24 hours so one a day and your good to go.
Cookieholic here - every night on the PC cruise my roommate and I had tea and cookies before bed. Not just A cookie. 6 between the two of us (where's that blushing smilie?)
Thankyou so much that would be very nice of you.If you let me know how much it is then i will transfer money via paypal to you straight away. No havent tried Prevacid. Usuallu just rely on the Gax X Stips and Pepto Bismol.
Another option for any US based person is to get a prepaid Chip and PIN card from TravelEx.
They call it the Cash Passport and will issue it in most/all TravelEx locations as well as online. Obviously they charge fees for some transactions, but it looks pretty reasonable on their website.
Also its re-loadable. Check out their website for more details.
Cheers
Matthew
Now I don't want anyone to get too worried but I think the ship is getting full....... Sorry can't pull off deadpan sarcasm in writing! Seriously, two months out and only one category (10c) is sold out. Everything else is open! This is going to be a great cruise!
just wish i could figure out this 10 post rule???
I assume that this means that any hope for pixie dust upgrades will be slim to none?
Pat,
I've sent you a PM about Palo Brunch - you can open it by clicking on "Private Messages" in the yellow box in the upper right hand corner.
If you have an adventurous spirit and want to have a great time with your partner, go for it. If you're looking for a typical spa treatment, don't bother. This was the only thing other than Palo that I couldn't wait to book. I had no complaint about the cost...well worth it.
Last year was our first experience with DCL; we booked the EB Jan 30th for the April 10 sailing. Larry researched everything except the spa, so I booked the ER and surprised him with it. I had no idea what to expect (he, of course, didn't have a clue what an ER was) and I will say it was a bit intimidating at first. Just getting comfortable in the room and worrying about the time factor detracted from the mood a little bit, but it really was a great time. Yes the sauna is hot, but it was a beautiful room and not unpleasant for a short time (I am definitely not normally a sauna person). The outer area with the bench and shower was cooler/quite comfortable. Larry absolutely loved it! We were celebrating our 30th anniversary (early...our 31st will be this Sat), so it was a great unexpected gift for him.
Karen, if you have not done this you should. It is a must try!... If the sauna is too hot or the room too cold, open the door. That is what we did. Ok I should set it up for you. There is a room you go into, they have you lock the door, It has a shower, large tile bench and is all tiled.. floor and wall. It will get quite wet in this room. There is an adjoining sauna. Very nice and it has cool off water hoses in there. You can open that door to adjust temp. Go have fun with it....
Welcome aboard, this is going to be a blastHello everybody! I haven't been on the board lately, I've been super busy with work and graduating university. After much deliberation and excellent deal with disney/priceline, i decided to bite the best feeling bullet ever. I'm officially a proud owner of a WBTA interior room, yet to be assigned! Its going to be great to be on the ship.
Now its time to dig out the passport and sort through of these threads! Definitely up for a pj breakfast. So excited to figure out the cruise details!
I have to say when we ordered the cheeseplate it was very disappointing ... although you couldn't tell from the 'cheesy grins' on our faces ..![]()
Here's a photo of the cheeseboard from room service DH had on our med cruise, he said that the portion wasn't that big, so get one each![]()
<snip> Luckily you just walked right off the train into the terminal.
Don't call the French police on me - I'll deny it until the end.![]()
Lynne, I couldn't PM you earlier as it said your PM box was full.
Last year on the EBTA it was like Christmas. A lot of people got surprised and some people didn't. I know that we booked a NAV Verandah and got upgraded to a partial Verandah (meaning that the railing was metal not the normal verandah) We were happy. Some people got upgraded from inside staterooms to Nav Verandahs or regular Verandahs and some people were left exactly where they booked. It will depend on a lot of factors as to whether or not you will be upgraded but as I told people last year that were mad because they weren't upgraded "book what you want and if you are upgraded great but if you aren't you will still be happy."
Thank you - cleared now
