We used to do deck ten (gary normally skips the sailaway party anyway and heads to a hot tub somewhere) but I stayed on deck nine last time and joined in the party.
Anyone fancy being a kid again and joining me in some stupid sailaway dancing?!

Nothing shows up when I click on those links? :confused3

Same reply as before - they are tied to my account and I just re-uploaded to do actual files
Will re-post original message (I had edited it but will repost)
Turns out it was an Image Preview specific for my account that VistaPrint does

The one thing I don't particularly care for on the back is the "thin line" across the top of the 2011. I can't figure out how to get it off. However, it was also on our shirts that we had printed already, and it doesn't bother me. My hair will cover it up anyway, and Curt didn't even notice it. It is the thin line going around the graphic box in the original DISign file.

Post #2775 is now updated (above) to include image FILES versus the original links. Turns out the original links were viewable only to me because it is my account. These files were uploaded to DISboards and should be viewable to everyone. I also put comments at the bottom of each photo on how to order for future reference :thumbsup2

can I ask where you found the postage stamp disign?

Somewhere on the DISboards DISign forum. Let me look at the file in my photo album and google the file name to see if it shows up. Or it may be one posted previously on one of the WBTA rollcall threads

ETA: FOUND IT!! :)

http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=39073689&postcount=3

The image I uploaded for the shirt is the largest image, but was still just "barely making it" for image quality as a front pocket image. I wouldn't try it as a full shirt image.

Hi Cruisers........we
Flew down to Disneyland yesterday. My friend won the contest for a sneak preview on Star Tours. It's for two people so she and Tony are somewhere on Main Street awaiting their turn among the masses. They had to meet up at 6am and get shuttled over to the park via Disney. I'm content here in the hotel for now. I'll meet up with them after park opening. Oh, and it included free admission (we are AP).

And tonight POTC4 in DTD!!!!!! Saw the main characters out yesterday for photo ops.

Happy Friday everyone and welcome to those just joining this cruise:cool1:

I let you know after I've consumed copious amounts of alcohol :rotfl2: :rotfl:

For those of you playing with images and tshirts on VistaPrint:

When uploading a design, you may get this message in red:
This image has low resolution and may not print clearly.

I took a gamble, and the ones that printed on the back (in those sizes) turned out fine.

Postage stamp was definitely too low in resolution to be huge, but the "back of shirt" DISigns looked fine to us.

If you create a shirt that is ONLY front... it is $4.75 with the 50% off sale (plus tax/shipping)

We definitely all should meet somewhere on deck for " lift off " and make a bon voyage toast to a wonderful cruise.

Where does everyne prefer to be for Sailaway .... in the thick of it all Deck 9, or up on Deck 10. We should perhaps designate a meeting point for Sailaway !!
Great idea.:thumbsup2
Sounds like a great plan. :thumbsup2

We always go up on Deck 10 for Sailaway.

Us too :dance3:

Karen, I like to be as far away from the annoying music till I have consumed enough alcohol to numb the pain :cheer2:

Plus we'll not be there long as we'll have to go off and get ready for dinner.

Mandy, just to confirm, we can call Vista Print and give them the ID# and they'll be able to look it up? I want to make sure I don't need to download the images and place my own order from scratch.

Yes you're right. However, we have to check out at 10am (i think) and then head to the port. I don't fancy a couple of hours sightseeing with luggage and kids. Even if I could dump luggage Paris will be anxious and just "want to get to the ship".

She doesn't "do" big crowds or looong waits ;)

I was hoping to turn up and hopefully get priority boarding a bit quicker than normal boarding. :wizard:

Trust me, if you are standing anywhere near us you would WISH that we'd already boarded :scared1: :rotfl2:

I wish hotels could push check out to 11am, so much more convenient!!!

At least the terminal, once through check in, is a huge open space so at least she can move away from any crowds. She will have to hang around for a while as boarding doesn't start till 11.45-12md, but if you can be prepared for that and go get a couple of photos taken with Mickey etc it shouldn't seem too long.

You can go straight to eat, then have a good nosey around the ship before being allowed in your room at 1.30. I love that time!!!

The "front only" t-shirts are $5 less... quite a steal IMHO. Click on images below for an enlarged picture.

NOTE: I do get the red message about the image not being good enough to print, but when I received my finished products a few months ago, they look just fine. I showed them to Curt just now and he agreed. The line that is above the date 2011 in one photo (back side of Life Ring tshirt) is not visible on the actual shirt I have in my hand now. I am assuming they will print in as good of quality as the ones I printed a couple months ago.

Welcome aboard :woohoo: pirate:

Yet ANOTHER alcohol post ;):idea::idea:

I have decided this is the way to go, tell me what you think.

I am going to take 1 or 2 boxes of wine, which is a lot easier and lighter than the equivalent in bottles, plus one bottle of wine.

I figured that when the bottle is finished I can then fill it up with the wine from the box and hey presto it can then be chilled in the ice bucket :wizard:   pirate:

Hi Mel.

Don't worry about the bottle, you will be able to fit the box in the in-room fridge!!!!:cool1:

Last year we took one box with us in our checked bags, then bought a couple of boxes in Morrisons, for the rest of the cruise, oh... and then did the winery tour in Madiera and had to buy a bottle from them, it was only polite.:yay:

At the moment we are in Pittsburgh PA visiting some friends so unable to keep up with the posts as much as usual.

We,re off to see a ball game tonight...Go Pirates...

Are there any cruisers in the Pittsburgh area?

Back home in a couple of weeks.
Not long to go to the cruise:yay::yay:!!

Jane & Dave

The box may fit in the fridge but that doesn't necessarily mean it'll be cold!

Mandy, just to confirm, we can call Vista Print and give them the ID# and they'll be able to look it up? I want to make sure I don't need to download the images and place my own order from scratch.

According to the rep I spoke with when calling, that is correct. Just call VistaPrint M-F, give them the ID #, and you can order from that alone. I just added two "front only" tshirts. Curt and I have always liked the "front pocket" image plus back, so that is why those were there.

ETA: If you guys make an order today (or soon) - will you please let us know if the ordering process went okay?

I will create some more shirts today that are "front only". I hear you about long hair - mine goes almost to my waist when wet. Pony tails have been my friend in summer.

After they are created, images saved, uploaded, I will post the Identification Numbers of the shirts to order directly from VistaPrint. (Wont' do the links since they are apparently tied to my account - will save images)

Oh - some images did not do well being enlarged due to pixel quality. I will have to look at those again as well. That is why I did the postage stamp on the front (smaller)

I just added 2 more images to post #2792 :thumbsup2 Let me know if those work, and if not, I can tinker with another shirt for ya. I am going to be away from the computer tomorrow (still wrapping up stuff from Curt's grandfather's passing...) and will be off and on Sunday (church and block party). I think the postage stamp is too small to do any larger and am not sure about the life ring image. (Inside the life ring it says "Disney Magic 2011")

Us too :dance3:

Karen, I like to be as far away from the annoying music till I have consumed enough alcohol to numb the pain :cheer2:

Sounds like we will definately be having a party on Deck 10 then. :dance3:

We can all watch Karen dancing. ;)

I would definitely be interested in a little "sailaway dancing" (is this a prelude to doing a little riverdancing????? :rotfl2:) We've been on two Disney cruises and both times missed the sailaway party.....so count me in girl!!! :thumbsup2

Great news about the box in the fridge! I have to admit I really like the sangria that Target makes. Figured I will sample the real stuff in Barcelona!!

Pittsburgh.... never been there but have vacationed in the Hershey, PA area a couple times! Lovely B&Bs, the town smells of milk chocolate, awesome spa at the Hotel Hershey  Enjoy your visit in PA!!!

My girls and I will probably join in! And I CAN NOT DANCE!!! "Stupid sailaway dancing" is what it will be for us!!

And how in the world am I going to choke back that lump in my throat hearing the horn, embarking on this once-in-a-lifetime adventure, knowing we are about to do something so awesome as to sail across the great Atlantic??? :lovestruc I am usually not an emotional person, but just knowing we have this opportunity to do this as a family, I get goosebumps and tears in my eyes just thinking about it! And getting onboard the ship with announcing our family??? Breathe. We are looking so forward to this!! Just so thankful for each day we have together as a family. And to think of my daughters getting to see princesses, Minnie... gotta stop thinking of those things!!!
