:rotfl2: That is me too! Horrid white legs.........unless of course thay are red/purple from my rash.

Thanks hun, he is home now. Very woozy from the anaesethic & sporting a horrid three inch cut on the top of his head which has been bleeding. They also removed the lump on the back off his ear & both have been sent of to the lab.

Thankfully his chest x ray & bloods were all ok. :thumbsup2 So now we just have to keep an eye on him to make sure he doesn't scratch at his stitches and wait 10 days until he has his stitches removed and we get the results back. :wizard:

I was just coming on here to see if there was any news. Glad all went ok and so far the results are good!!!

As far as white legs go, mine don't tan like they used to. I don't know if it is something to do with age but they just look horrible with white patches.

Aww bless him..give him a  from me.

I know both my girls don't like coming round from any op, they lie and cry all the time.
I hope he heals quickly...all of mine have to wear a cone:rolleyes1 Fingers crossed for more good results :wizard:

TBH I am really surprised that they sent him home without a cone! All the other ops my two have had (and believe me between them that has been a lot!) they have always had cones? :confused3

Although if he doesn't scratch then I am glad he hasn't got one on, it really freaks him out, which in turn freaks Bailey out and she runs off scared....it is a nightmare!

Hope he's feeling ok and his test results come back ok :wizard: Maybe the vet though he wouldn't be able to reach his head, although there's nothing to stop him scratching is there  See how the little luv goes, you might have to pick one of those cones up.

They did that to Minnie - sent her home without a cone after she'd had her op to be spayed. They had to re admit her 3 days later and operate on her again as she'd licked all the stitches out. It was a nightmare...it was a big risk with her being under the anaesthetic the couple of days before. I was very angry and very upset to see my baby go through all of the pain again. Yes, we changed vets after that.

They learn to cope with the cones...lol's Minnie had it down to a fine art, she ate and drank with it on...Not very good for the shins and furniture though ;)

It's more the one on the back of his ear that i'm worried about him scratching...it's definately within reach, he is always scratching his ears.

And i'm already prepared! ;) I have a cone in the cupboard, ready to go on the minute he raises a paw. :lmao:

That's naughty!!!! Poor Minnie! The vet that spayed Bailey had a boxer when she was younger and knows what they are like so she double stitched her & also stitched her muscles together inside too as she knew Bailey would be bounding around like Tigger the next day.....and she was right! :lmao:

The vet we usually see is on maternity leave at the moment, if we have any further issues I will be requesting the head vet as I am not overly pleased with the one we had today.....she told us when we picked Stamford up tonight that he has a heart mumour - well yes that was diagnosed 3 years ago, i'm so glad you read his notes.

We are thinking of booking this cruise. Is anyone going from Central florida, Tampa or Orlando area. If so what kinda of deals on flights have you found. thanks Cindy

glad to hear he is home, fingers crossed his tests come back ok, poor baby hope he doesnt scratch to much and have to wear the cone, susie

I am the same :rotfl2: I will be armed with my self-tan for my legs too. They never seem to catch the sun like the rest of me :headache:

I use this one:-

L’Oreal Sublime Bronze Self-tanning Gel tinted and shimmering for face & body

It comes in a shade for pale skin, so that works for me and you can see where you have applied it because of the shimmer :thumbsup2

Both my DD's are red heads complete with pale skin. I bought them this one Garnier Skin Naturals Summer Body Moisturising Lotion, it's a tinted moisturiser so you get browner gradually :)

Thanks for the suggestions. I'm off to Walmart this evening to check out their selection. Might as well start now! :thumbsup2

I get 15 days (3 weeks). 12 are being used for the WBTA, so it has been no vacation time for me between January 1 and the day we leave for the cruise. (My counter below isn't just until we leave for the WBTA - it's until I get a day off!) Stir crazy!

wow you poor guys, that surely is not enough vacation time:eek:
i get seven weeks annually, and then will increase once im with nhs for 5 years then 10 years:banana:

Jeremy gets more than me - I think he gets like 28 days - so don't feel sorry for him! ;)

The only time I get bit is when I've been near water at night. Like standing in Epcot waiting for Illuminations :confused3

Mary you must have rich blood ;)

I forgot about that, yes that's a favourite spot for me too or splash mountain the buggers always get me there too :rotfl2:

A few people have said in the past that I much have rich blood :lmao: but I just got my glucose blood results back last week and they were normal :woohoo::woohoo: so that's a bonus!! I've never been referred to as normal before :rotfl2:

I'm right there with you! When I got bumped up to 3 weeks I thought I was the luckiest girl in the world. Now I think I'm suffering from vacation envy.

Beware the Cone of Shame.... I know it's for their own good, but I always feel so guilty anytime I have to put one on my buddies. They just give you this look.

I was just made aware on another thread that some people consider "giving" to the lanyard fund to be their FE gift.

Does everyone do this on other cruises or what do people think?

I was told that some people who do not want to participate in the actual FE feel that this is a good way to contribute to the FE.

Costs of the lanyards are about $2-3 to give people an idea of the costs of anywhere from 100-150 lanyards for this cruise.

Any thoughts or comments?

When I was looking for flights I looked out of Orlando and Miami, thinking I might drive or fly down there and leave my car to be picked up when we got back. I really didn't find any good flights/deals. I didn't think to try Tampa.

I think you would do better to fly out of Atlanta (I know I saw a couple flights out of there) or NYC and just pay for the extra flight up there. I ended up getting flights out of NYC on CheapOAir for about $475 a piece, and then spent another $75 getting each getting to NYC from Raleigh, NC where we live. The best deal is I'm paying $175 to rent a car in Port Canaveral to drive home (9 hours) on Saturday when we get in.

I've only been on one cruise where we had a lanyard, pn that cruise the group that contributed the $'s did use it as the FE gift.

Personally I prefer to do both, i'll chip in for the lanyards but will still be giving out FE gifts. :thumbsup2
