One year on a flight home from Hawaii, I was just getting myself situated in my seat when we were confronted by two "ladies" angry at us for being in their seats. We vacated the seats as soon as humanly possible to try to appease them. DH calmly notified the flight attendants of what had happened and they went to check into it.
I was day dreaming about another day on the Island at the airlines expense,

when they came back, and sure enough they had double booked our seats. After a few minutes of calmly waiting for them to find a solution, we were asked to follow the attendant ... all the way to First Class

Not only did they treat us royally in first class, but they also gave us a certificate for 50% off our next flight with them to apologize for the inconvenience

gotta love Hawaiian Air. The moral of this story is .....
