You can take a glass of wine to dinner. Buy a massive glass if you can() in Barcelona and leave it before you come home.
I rather think the term corkage means more than just opening the bottle, such as use of their glasses etc, so I would expect you still pay that whether your bottle is screw top or even open. Not sure though. I think they would be trying to cover lost tip revenue.
Oh yes I have seen those glasses that hold a whole bottle of wine....now where did I see those![]()

Wow your cruise must be pretty empty!
What Palo's have you got booked for June?
Thank you
So High Tea could be a problem then...
Wow still brunches left.
Alcohol question?
I have read that some people take a glass of wine or beer to dinner. Is that ok?
Some have said that they've taken an OPEN bottle of wine to dinner. Again is that allowed.
And here's a cheeky question will I have to still pay for corkage if I bring a screw top bottle?![]()

So, don't expect an upgrade. It might happen and that would be fantastic. But it might not happen. We always go for the category we want in the first place, even if it means we lose out money wise over the course of waiting for the cruise. As it happens we don't want an upgrade as I don't like Deck 7 and not sure I would like Deck 8 either, unless the upgrade was to a suite that is!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Do many people actually do it though? I can't recall seeing it on either of my two cruises.
Can I ask why you don't like deck 7? We have never been on this floor before and just wanted to know what you thought?
We have a palo brunch booked for day 2 (first sea day) and then Palo dinner on day 7 (one of the quieter port days) and High Tea on the last sea day (day 9). Reservations for all of them are still available
My DSIL last year quite often took a drink into the dining room and no-one looked twice at her. If we had got a drink between the show and dinner, we just carried it in with us. Wine, spirits or otherwise.
I think Noel mentioned a while back that she and John do that, take a glass of wine to dinner and get their room host/hostess to put fresh wine glasses in their room each night
We bought the 11 night wine package on last year's WBTA and took 3 of our own bottles in and paid the corkage (mind you I think they only charged us once) Even if you take your own bottle in opened, I suppose they still come round and fill your glass up for you so might still justify the charge
Now I think about it, my DSIL didn't buy a wine package and the two of them just took their own glasses of vodka/coke and beer into the dining room with them and drank the coke and water also offered by the servers
Oh yes, ask Monica(Mishoe)!!!![]()
Well depending on how much wine I buy in Barcelona & Gibraltar I may do this on a few nights too.![]()

I was planning on doing this too...I won't feel bad if others do it![]()
We took a drink into the dining room when we went to eat last year on the Med. cruise. Nobody said anything.![]()
We factored in a few extra bottles for dinner when we did our Morrisons shopping spree![]()
I am told those cocktails at dinner are really really good!!
