We are doing all DCL excursions just for time constraints.

Grand Cayman Dolphin Swim & Turtle farm
Costa Maya Chacchoben Mayan Ruins
Cozumel Secret River

We booked snorkel tour in grand caymans with native way, and the ruins in costa may with native choice. Cozumel we don't have any excursions planned.

I believe our time is 4pm to dress up for dinner on day 2, and then I booked pirates league for I think 2:30.

I have 3 and 3:15 for Layla and Lance for BBB on pirate night!!! Gotta do it atleast once!!!

Excursion question: What types of excursions is everyone booking? Are you booking thru the ship or have you found private arrangements?

Through DCL we are doing the pirate ship in grand cayman. Nothing in costa maya.... I wAnt to go somewhere in Cozumel.... We will see

We did ruins with that tour group and it was wonderful.... however we were at port longer and we were late getting back.... People shopping at the little gift shop area took forever.... Cash only btw!!! and prices are negotiable

Kiddos will love the Pirate Ship!!! Hmmmmm Cozumel... Keep me posted if you are interested in the Fury C. or just chilling on the boat or if anything maybe that I could be adopted!!!

When we asked last week, the cruise had sold about 990 out of 1250 rooms, so not too bad.

so as far as exursions go is anyone gonig to do anything on their own (not thru disney)? I've read lots of things that say you can do almost everything the ship offers on your own for a much cheaper price in Grand Cayman and I've found this awesome company to take a private boat out in Cozumel. I don't know if I'm getting off the boat in Costa Maya....it's going to be a girls day for my daughter and I. The boys are going to go ride dune buggys (DD is not old enough).

The 2 companies myself and luvmy2kids have booked for GC and Costa Maya are private. Pm me if you would like more info. Both are kid friendly as I will have my 4 & 9 year old.

So did we establish an official meeting time and place. I have read on the boards for 7 day cruises it is good to schedule another one on like the 2nd sea day. Are you all interested?

Yes, we are not using Disney for either grand cayman nor costa maya.... I've read such good reviews from tripadvisor for both non Disney tours.... Would love to book dolphin swim directly but I am afraid if we can't get to port we would be out our money.... You have to put a cruise line down and you can't book cause we are Disney... Also, I was afraid if we put hotel and could not port we would loose our money.... So, booked thru Disney for this one excursion.

I don't know... I am not sure where the first one is?... I think it would be fun to do an evening event at like one of the games or one of the bars?..

Hmmm, I don't think it was ever decided. I do know we were thinking at 3 on embarktion day - maybe in the d lounge or piazza ?? What do you think. At that point people can always share staterooms#'s with each other to text or leave notes if they want to meet up at any given time to hang out

Good suggestion--I thought I read a TR somewhere that mentioned La Piazza was deserted on embarkation day. That might make a good meeting place.

We're up for something on the 2nd sea day, too.

Yes, we are planning on going to Chankanaab! We have been several times.
