Ok on a thread on the DCL forum I read 2 interesting things

1. Cabin assignments are usually posted on Mondays (never heard that before & I'm not sure it's true but now I'm gonna pay more attention on Mondays)

2. People on the 7/7 cruise in GTY status STILL haven't received cabin #'s! I will LOSE MY MARBLES if we get to 2 weeks out without receiving our room assignment!!

I have mostly done GTY rooms and never have I waited that close but also I always sailed on the Magic!

I did get my assignment on last Monday. I don't understand why I've gotten mine and no one else has. I'm sorry for those who haven't. Crazy too, cause I really didn't care where our room was. Hopefully they'll all show up this Monday!
The cruise seems so far away and yet soon, all at the same time. Glad I have lots going on before Sept to keep my mind busy

My DH, DD(8), and DS(5), and I will be cruising together. My littles made friends with the kids next door last time (through the verandah separator, of all things), so I know they'd love to meet some new friends this time, too. They will probably spend all day every day at the club/lab or the pool. I look forward to a meet up!

Welcome jahber.... we are from the same area (Florida) and my daughter is the same age as yours (8)--she will be 9 in August. Glad to see more girls the same age. I think they are going to have so much fun!

Hi, my nephew is also 5. It seems that there are a few kids around the same age travelling so hopefully they will all have fun together.

We are travelling from Australia and he is an only child so would love to make some friends to play in the pool and go to the kids club with!

This is our 4th cruise on DCL. Our first on the Fantasy. We were on the Member Cruise last September on the Dream. We will be celebrating our 20th on the 4th of Sept. So far we booked the Sea Trek for Grand Cayman. I want my wife to experience diving. She tried Snorkeling at Castaway Cay and the flippers bothered her. So this is the next step. At Costa Maya we scheduled the ruin tour with The Native Choice instead of with DCL. I like smaller groups. Then we have Palo that night. At Cozumel we will either go to Paradise Beach or another we haven’t made up our mind yet. Then do some shopping in town away from the port shops. We have a 5E GTY and are hoping to get it. Since they have extra large verandas. On the Dream we had a 4a and it was nice. But a bigger veranda is better.

I just signed up for the FE. This is my second cruise, and last time I had no idea that there was a whole DCL culture I was completely unaware of! Now I know what all that stuff on the doors was

It's going to be a surprise for my kids.

www.cruisefish.net shows 64% of the cabin categories still open. I know that really doesn't mean a thing. I check it out every once in a while. It's been as low as 43%. I think it's odd that the categories can pop in and out every day. There was a couple weeks back in May where all inside and oceanview categories were closed. Now most are open on any given day. The 8/18 cruise is at 90% and 8/26 is at 96% right now.

I just checked the cruisefish website today for our cruise, it's now at 58% of cabins still open. So, I guess there were some more bookings since last week when Hope2cruise checked and it was at 64%

Still.....where the heck is my room number?! It's worse because I'm home recuperating from surgery the last few weeks so I'm pretty much able to log on and check whenever I want. I'm sure the minute I go back to work and can't check numerous times per day, the room # will be posted on there for days and I won't even know it!
