For the life of me I can not find info on the Disney Cruise site talking about any child only activities (for a 7 year old) on Castaway Cay…similar to the Oceaneers club. I thought I recalled a section last time we cruised where the kids could play at, with crew supervision while the adults relaxed for a bit. Do they offer supervised activities for this age group on Castaway Cay?

Sounds like you're thinking of Scuttles Cove. They do not take the kids swimming, but they do offer a variety of supervised activities for them so the parents can go off and have some big kids' fun.

Thanks! Do you know where I can find info on the activities offered?

The following site will give you a lot of details

"While at Castaway Cay, the Kids' programs move ashore to Scuttle's Cove. An inland beach with nature activities, a whale bone dig and lots of fun. Again, they will not go to the beach, but they may page you to take them to the beach. In the afternoon, there is a family dig at the whale bones where you can dig up whale parts with the kids and make plaster casts of them..."

My DH absolutely LOVES scuttles cove. On both our cruises, he wouldn't come out of the club to swim. When we took him out for his parasailing, he was so grumpy he refused to go up for the ride. They make sand castles, have water battles, do a scavenger hunt and dig for bones, etc.

DS loved Scuttles Cove as well. We signed him up as soon as we got off the Magic. He was the 2nd kid there. I went to check on him at 12 & he told the counselor that he wanted to stay & not come with us. I pulled him out at 1:30 so that he could have some water time with the tube too. Once he got in the tube, he was happy to be on the beach now but it took some convincing to get him to go with me.

I would recommend bringing kids to the beach for an hour or two when you get off the ship, and then bring them to Scuttle's Cove. We picked up our kids after lunch to take them swimming and all three of them were mad at us for taking them away from Scuttles'!
