Just wondering if there is a separate check-in line for 1st Class passengers at most airports? We are flying the day before Thanksgiving which I've been told is the busiest travel day of the year, so that's why I'm curious. We will be flying USAir out of Logan Airport (Boston, MA). My flight is at 4:30pm, but I have to work until noon... just worried about getting stuck in a huge line to check-in. Never flown 1st class before (turned in frequent flier miles this time). Thanks in advance!

Most airports have a seperate line for check in. It may still be quicker to use the Kiosk however. Survey the lines, if they look long and there are automatic check in machines use them.

When you get to security at Logan they generally have a shorter line for first class and elite customers but you may have to look for it. Before you get in the long line walk down to the front and look for a sign.

If you go straight from work or shortly thereafter you should be fine even at Logan. I will fly into there that same day and out on Saturday! Wed will be crowded, but board when they call first class and get yourself a drink and enjoy watching people try to carry everything they own on the plane!

Also, if you are like me and travel with Christmas gifts don't wrap them before you go to the airport. Security might just make you unwrap them.

You may want to check curbside check-in first. Usually the line there is much less than inside.

There is a preferred check in and a preferred security line at Logan. It is to the left of the regular security line. It will appear to be closed off but there is someone manning the entrance who will let you in after she checks your boarding pass.

There is also a shuttle security area that could be not as crowded.

There is preferred check in at the ticket counter for USAirways but no preferred line at security.
